Jees. Di Biagio is doing horrible. I have counted him touching the ball only twice. And Gamarra is why the first goal was scored. We are unlucky not to have a few goals, but our defense has been horrible. WHERE ARE YOU MATERAZZI?????????????????????? Dalmat and JZ and Recoba have been pretty good. The main differnece is our chances aren't gong in. I think we can come back....

Tough result fot Inter, I believe Cannavaro was suffering from the Flu and the defense looked to be poorly organized on many occasions. Barca seemed to get the home field advantage on calls.

No Recoba or Cordoba next week for Red and Yellow cards.

Is Crespo eligible for next weeks return match?

I was suprised to see Inter come out so flat, although SoccerFan, Barcelona at home is NEVER an easy match.

I expect a much tighter return at Inter...hopefully we will get that one on ESPN 2 as well.

    til next week.

Was that really Inter defense out there, or did you guys pick up some people from Maldive islands and dress them up in Inter Uniforms? LOL!

Inter played like ************. The long ball never worked and Saviola ran rampant all over Cannavaro. Crespo is much needed, but I doubt he could've made a difference considering the poor service Vieri was receiving.

    Stupid red card by Recoba.

Cuper needs to make wholesale changes to the D, who struggle all game.

If Inter doesn't win, they need Newcastle to falter.

fischetts: The defense isn't usually that bad. Canna had the flu, and we wre missing Materazzi who's awesome.
Ok here's what I have to say: The only players playing well were Recoba, Dalmat, J. Zanetti,Toldo and Cordoba. Everyone else flat out sucked. Dalmat is pretty good. The one fault I think he has is his crosses aren't that great. but his dribbling is out of this world! One thing I'm depressed about with Inter is they give up to early. They could have easily came back, but right after the half they seemed to have given up. Same in the serie a. They could have made a lot of their losses ties. If you look at Milan and Juve, they have half less losses and more ties. It was also shown late last season. We always seemed to just give up. I am incredibly suprised Canna didn't come off. He was unbelievably terrible. Toldo has shown yet again that he's the best goalie in the world. Gamarra sucks. Couldn't we have played Adani? Anders Frisk was bullsh!t. That call was ludicrous. Recoba didn't mean it. We need to play Dalmat more. And also, Morfeo never does anything, and I only counted 2 touches for Dibiagio the whole game. Bad tactics by Cúper and bad game by Inter. I wish Cuper played this:
    Todlo
    J. Zanetti
    Cordoba
    Adani
    Coco
    Okan
    C.Z.
    Dalmat
    Recoba
    Vieri
    Kallon

It would have been so much better! And why didn't Coco play?

Doesn't Coco have some fitness problems at this time?

And soccerfan, I know theitr defense isn't usually this shabby, but today, my High School strikeforce would've given them a run.

Bad result for Inter as head-to-head goal difference CAN come into play and I don't see them beating Barca by 3 goals next week. Especially without Recoba. And I think Cordoba is suspended as well. It's the only reason I can think Cannavaro just didn't bring Saviola down on the first goal is he was concerned about missing the return leg.

Although I have to smirk at soccerfan's naivete that any team in the world would go into a game in the Nou Camp thinking they "should win", I can't be happy on a night when Italian teams went 0-2 in the Champions League.

On recoba's Tackle...I have watched the replay and also watched it at full speed several times, and he made ZERO effort to lift his foot and clear Puyol's face.

I really have to think that there was a momentary lapse of reason and his frustration came thorugh and he took it out then and there...silly play when your team needs you in a weeks tiem to get 3 points.

Toldo is a fien keeper, I wish barca had him, I think Bonano is a liability.

Recoba did a stupid thing and knew it immediately. He looked over at the linesman right away and must've made eye contact with the guy sort of saying "I saw you", because his shoulders slumped and he knew right away he was going off. When the ref finally came over and presented the red card, he didn't argue at all, just shook his hand and left. He tried to say something to Puyols, maybe like he's not really that kind of player it just was one of those things where it happened in an instant. Puyols didn't want to hear it, of course - that sort of thing can cause a serious injury.

    For the time being, yes.

Just trying to cheer you up. 3-0 might hurt a bit, but there's nothing lost yet.
