That would be the NFL Europe version: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=1648776 Wonder what this does for the deal between FCB and the NFL. Sachin
Hamburg, Stuttgart, and Cologne are possible replacements for Barcelona. How much longer will it be before someone changes the name from NFL Europe to NFL Deutschland?
You'd have thought they'd wait to see if they get a "bump" from the Super Bowl. You know, that greatest sporting event that has the WHOLE WORLD glued to their TV sets...?
Crap! I thought it was the soccer club. Barca is my least favorite club in the world. They're not even close to challenging Real for the La Liga title. Barca is loaded with talent yet the team wastes it.
NFL-Europe depends solely on the fact that the Germans don't play rugby. If they did, they would kick out the NFL.
I'm not surprised, considering the earlier thread on the NFL considering closing up shop in Europe. I'm too lazy to look up previous attendances before the quoted: "five games last season averaged 6,868". Though having the replacement showing up in Madrid would be something.
