    That [R] means REVENGE!

    Antic is a magician!!!!!!!

    Barça= 4
    Er Beti de Pichi= 0

Bonano; Sorín, De Boer, Puyol, Reiziger; Cocu, Xavi, Mendieta, Overmars; Saviola and Kluivert

Prats; Varela, Melli, Filipescu, Mingo; Cañas, Capi, Arzu; Denilson, Fernando and Joaquín.

Sorín (MOTM in my opinion) nulified Joaquín ALLLLLL the match, 'el torero' didnt have NOT EVEN ONE chance, Denilson unexistant on the left, tried to cut himself through the center, Reiziger was there when Denilson tried to show off, Bonano saved a couple of long shots, however his clearances weren't accurate (in corners and free kicks) somehow I feel Enke will have a shot soon (to think I'm always appologetic with him) Xavi didnt show up (the team didnt need him) Saviola scored when the clock marked one minute and a half, Cocu in the sixth after a corner kicked by Xavi, the team is a goalscorer machine!!!!!!
11 goals in 4 matches!!! and only 3 goals against!!! Iordan Filipescu will have nightmares with Saviola!!!
I'm euphoric and semi-drunk, more posts if you have questions only

It's amazing what Saviola can do when given the chance to play. Looks like they're back in form in La Liga. I don't know if it's too little too late but I'm only imagining how Barça would be playing if Van Gaal was still in charge.

If LvG were still in charge, Segunda Division would be guaranteed!!

    Thanks for the report, Mario!

Raddy is giving Saviola freedom up front and the results are obvious. Everyone seems entirely revived, even Kluivert and Frank. It's been awhile since we've heard 'ole' at the Nou Camp.

As for the Beticos, I am not sure if they are really starting to get shaky or they just hit a bad patch of form in the nightmare part of their schedule. They seem to be two different teams (one for home, one away). Why do I care? Because they're occupying that last European slot! :)

This madridista will say that he is very, very impressed with Antic's Barcelona. They move the ball around very well with quick one touch passing and playing Saviola alongside Kluivert is really paying off. The question will be can van Gaal's twin Marcelo Bielsa learn from this and play Saviola alongside Crespo with Argentina's national team?

Saviola is a star in every sense of the word. It's nice to see him playing well. But he's not alone as the entire team played well v Betis. It was a joy to watch them play. I'm with Mario that Reiziger and Sorin dominated Denilson and Joaqin. Without them Betis has no attack.

The Dutch contigent also seemed revived by Van Gaal's departure. A team doesn't go from as bad as Barca was playing to as well as they are now simply based on increased confidence. I think it's obvious they all quit on van Gaal.

Just got back form 5 days in South Beach :)

What awesome news to return to, nice to avenge the loss to los beticos earlier in the year.

It really seems like everybody is finally playing like they are supposed to.

12 points back is doable for the last CL spot, but screw that cause we are going to win the CL this year!! and we will return next year as holders.

it was such a tease to be able to watch last weeks CL game, I am bummed that I do not know when the next televised game will be.

I read on ESPN's soccernet.com that Overmars is injured and is gonna miss the next CL game against Inter. Didn't see the report on any other site though so I figured you guys know best whether there's truth to it or not. If it's true, it's too bad since he has been looking pretty stellar even though the ball hasn't been reaching the back of the net. But I guess with the way Saviola is playing, it doesn't matter much.

Oh, and 3 match ban for Recoba! Sucker.

If you would do such a thing, you would be considered a god. At least I would. To show my appreciation in advance, here is a line from The Simpsons:
Hans Moleman: "If only this sugar were as sweet as you."

Yes I too was very impressed with Barcelona's play. Their play was very dynamic against Betis and Saviola is a matchwinner. I guess the question will be is this sudden improvement a short term improvement due to the change in manager or will the team be able to continue playing well under Antic? We'll find out soon enough but congrats Barcelona fans on your team's current play.
