I'd say Ajax 95. A lot more consistent and dominant. But in an actual matchup in some weird parallel dimension any of the two could win of course.
Barcelona hands down; was Ajax dubbed the dream team in '95??? I don't think so. We had Laudrup, Koeman, Zubizarreta, Stoichkov, Guardiola, Nadal, Bakero, Sergi, Amor, Ferrer, Julio Salinas,Beguiristain and Goikoetxea. There's a reason they were called the dream team and even though Ajax had an excellent team in '95 they were still not as good as Barcelona in '92.
No way, Ajax 95 was better than Barca. We won the CL without losses, beating AC Milan three times! Almost all our players were players who played for Ajax since they were young. The was also very young and unexperienced, but they were so good, that it didn't matter.
Well it's certainly not either team "by far". Barca had the better players, Ajax were arguably the better team.
Yup... but how consistent was the 92 Barca? It may have been a dream team on paper, but the results weren't always that great.
i've heard a lot about the ajax '95 team, about their surprising performance, and their youth. i think i know of a few players who were there(kluivert?litmanen?), but can any one name the roster?
off the top of my head, i think these players were there: van der sar rijkaard both de boers findi george kanu kluivert litmanen seedorf overmars davids
The team for the 1995 Champions League Final was: Van de Saar, Silooy, Blind, F de Boer (Scholten), Bogarde, George, R de Boer (Wooter), Litmanen, Davids, Kanu, Musampa (Kluivert)
also reiziger, blind, bogarde, van vossen, van den brom, musampa, grim & reuser AJAX 94-95 (http://www.xs4all.nl/~michielh/19941995.html) was one of the great dominant machines of our time - i watched nearly every match that season and they were like work of art in motion
Well, they played in first half of the 1995/1996 season even better than in 1994/1995 but the second half of the season was not that well.
