I'm collecting donations to buy a Nice 25ft. banner that will say "The Yanks Are Here" or "USA Supporters" on it. The price will be around $1000 but I believe this will be a good investment because it would last for years. If your are interested in making a donation, please email me at mattfirefan@yahoo.com
Also tell me what banner you would rather have.

I am a student (read no money), but "The Yanks are Here" slogan makes a better banner.

That seems like quite a high price...By a 25' banner, I assume you mean that's how long it is, and it'll be about 3 feet high? The Yank Army got the Rattlerzilla (20' by 30') made for around $800. You might wanna check with La Norte as well, to see what their experience has been.

The banner will be 4 feet high. The reason it would be so expensive would be the 3 different colors. I'm still checking around for prices at this time.

Why not make it yourself with some friends? Save some dosh and it won't have the bland Kinko's type look that banners like the Screaming Beagles have.

You all have probally seen the banner that says
LA NORTE Loves USA, wither at the miami game or at the USA games at RFK. I could be wrong about the size but its about 15-20 feet long and 3-4 feet height. In all honesty it probally at most cost me 80 bucks to make. It did whoever cost me some time. But if you dedicated 1 whole day just to making it you would probally be done, depends on how fast your work. The paint actually needs a whole day also SO you could get it down in 2 days of work. Plus you save alot of cash and its not hard at all, Trust me i am no painter and i think that my flag turned out pretty well.

Here is how i made it: I bought like 20feet of red fabric that was 3 fight high and 10 feet of white fabric that was also 3 feet high cut the fabric and made the height 1.5 feet and just sewed it to make it as long as i could in the end it turned out to be 3-4 feet high and 15-20 feet long. Just use a sewing machine. Then I sketched the banner with the words LA NORTE LOVE USA, and when it got it to look right i just painted inside the lines. If you can get a crew of 2-3 people you should be done in no time. Just make sure you paint it somewhere where it wont rain, and you are able to leave it there overnight, i left it on my lawn. Make sure not to put newspapers underneath it, instead use nylon plastic that wont stick to the paint.

I also made a banner that was the same stlye but was black on the 1st and 3rd block and red in the middle.
Trust me it saves money and plus it looks realy nice.

That was the price I was given by several companies. I'm working on making the banner by myself and will start it in the next few weeks.

The real costs comes in the labor. However, if you can find an inside connection to a local sign or banner company the sum total costs could be cheaper.

I did the "America, You'll Never Walk Alone, 9-11-2003" banner seen below. It was featured at the U.S. vs. Jamaica World Cup Qualifier held at Foxboro Stadium on 10/7/01.

Pretty much bought a bolt of white fabric 10 feet hight and 75 feet long from a store literally next door to my old apartment. Todal cost was $125 for the fabric. All the lettering was done free-hand using fabric paint, the cost of that being about $100, all the labor done by yours truly (and 2 other members of Sam's Army) in the living room of my apartment over a series of weeks.

Even did a 15 by 30 foot banner about six years ago for a Revolution supporters group. The nylon banner (pretty much same used in flags) was constructed for a cost of about $220 by some place out in Missouri, while I did the artwork with about $45 in fabric paint.

The banner dried out and the fabric paint didn't run.

Do you have to say, "Yanks"???

I'm from Virginia and it's offensive.

To the victors go the spoils. Shouldn't have supported a side that propogated slavery.

Damn, let's not get into some Civil War argument. There was more to it then just slavery. And, for the record, it was wrong of the south to have it.
