Does everyone get cup of tea and show up in their Sunday best? WTF kind of BS is that for Soccer fans not to be able to act like Soccer fans. Seriously, all of this kind of crap is making us look like a bunch of p******s!

And since when are "outlaws" classy?

I had been saying for the longest time leave that "you suck a**hole" garbage to the low class fans south of the border. It's beneath us. Keep doing it and you get censored.

I don't have a problem asking for a different chant than the YSA chant. That requires zero thought, isn't creative, and really is boring. Time for something new. Put some thought into it.

    However, no banners? That's ridiculous.

It is a little ridiculous. Perhaps AO can unfurl a banner that says "This is not a banner".

Or bring enormous signs. Just argue that signs technically are not banners. Stencil something on a bed sheet, and let that hang. Again, not a banner.;)

I just want to add that this "friendliness" and "class" is not applying to the away team. So why they are throwing piss bags, bottles, and saying foul language, we should just be good neighbors and good examples to the foreign team's supporters.

YES. Whenever you root for the US National Team, whenever you put on the colors and cheer for our team, you ARE representing our country to the world.

I don't get the ire over foul language either, BUT we DON'T make racist chants, we DON'T throw bags of piss or batteries, and we DON'T act like a bunch of drunken idiots. We DON'T act like "The away team", because DAMNIT, we are not the "Away team", we are the United States of America. Superpower Superpower USA.

So yeah, while I don't expect you to act like a "Good Neighbor", I do expect you to at least act like a grownup. If you want to roll your eyes, throw batteries and piss and act like an idiot, feel free to put on a Mexico kit and sit with those idiots.

What does chanting YSA or anything else Wessoman mentioned have to do with standing up for your country?

YSA chant is awful and needs to go. It shows no creativity at all. Chants at opposing players/teams need to have wit and class. I'm all for getting rid of the chant.

It's unfortunate but I expect nothing less of the USSF. US soccer for the first time has a large and continuously growing fanbase full of people who are caring and passionate about the USMNT, and what does the federation do? Censors them immediately. Good job guys. I could give a ******** about being classy, if I wanna be classy I'll throw on my khakis and a polo and head to a fancy restaurant. At sporting events, I wanna go apeshit.

Its a soccer game, I'll act like an adult at work. I'll go to a soccer game to have fun k?

Why doesn't the USSF put pressure on CONCACAF to stop letting fans throw bags of urine, beer and batteries at our players? Instead they want to concentrate on banners.

I assume this is just a one-game thing. We'll see what happens with the next US friendlies.

What's Gulati's position with the Revolution again? This sounds awfully familiar.
