Hi, guys, After doing the long thread (https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/ballon-dor-awards-revisited-by-bigsoccer-users.2119696/page-109) which is incredibly successful (thanks to all for voting) but also @PDG1978 , I would like to launch this thread for the Ballon d'Or 2025 from now on As with the other thread, you can choose to vote for the season (2024/25) or the calendar year (2025). Maybe we should wait the end of the season at least Cheers, IceBlood34
As in the previous thread, I leave it up to you to choose when to vote; either now (i.e. end of the regular season), after the summer competitions (i.e. Nations League finals, FIFA Club World Cup) or at the end of the calendar year. In all cases, we will make the final accounts at the beginning of 2026 to take into account all types of vote.
Nations League and Club World Cup were always glorified friendlies mostly for Europeans so I will already vote my top 5: 1. Dembelé 2. Raphinha 3. Yamal 4. Mbappé 5. Salah
1. Lamine Yamal (spa) 2. Rapinha (bra) 3. Ousmane Dembele (fra) 4. Kylian Mbappé (fra) 5. Vitinha (por) *If Dembele, Mbappe or Vitinha have an outstanding performance at the Club World Cup they can aspire to the top spot
To me trophies don't matter but I'll still be counting goals and assists and other stats from the club wc since it's more matches and more stats for players like dembele and mbappe
Well, now that 2024-25 season is completely over, I will vote for my top 5 BigSoccer Ballon d'Or award: 1- Dembelé 2- Lamine Yamal 3- Vitinha 4- Raphinha 5- Hakimi It's very difficult because we have very good players fighting for top 5: Salah, Mbappé, Nuno Mendes, Doué, Kvara, Donnaruma, and so on Interestingly, I put Lamine Yamal 2nd, but to be honest maybe Raphinha was the most consistent player for Barcelona this season, but at 17yo Lamine made the best "peaks" during the season. Tough decisions...
Ok so here's my top 5 1. Salah because he had the highest average rating in the best league itw 2. Raphinia because of his cl campaign 3. Yamal because of what he did at such a young age 4. Dembele he played in a farmers league and Salah and raphinia had better seasons imo and he's older and has an age advantage over yamal 5. Nuno mendes because he pocketed the likes of yamal, saka and Salah
