Ahhhh, the soft underbelly of Big Soccer.
reminds me of a famous movie scene.

I wonder if we can follow his progress in the YA forum. Just to highlight, compare and contrast with the person I "Dare Not Speak His Name." (Sorry, I was threatened with a ban for speaking truth about a certain person over there :D)

We still have Torres...that counts as a win, right?

Glad this isn't any other country.

Wish Soumare the best of luck.

meh... I never argue with him about a minor detail... usually its a major flaw that he just refuses to look at...

in saying that, i wont do it here...

I agree that it's ridiculous how other countries get citizenship for soccer players so quickly- I definitely wasn't trying to defend them. I was just saying that it's frustrating that everyone else seems to be willing to skirt the rules and we're not. Oh well...

Man what a blow, I have really admired that guy this season for his poise and his ability to not solely rely on his physicality. USMNT really could have used such a player, especially when defending set pieces with his height. I truly wish him the best of luck, too bad the red-tape tripped him up when from all indications he really felt strongly about representing the stars and stripes.

On the other hand, here's hoping he's still around in MLS for the 2010 season so Philly can grab him!!:D

I'm personally expecting both of them to say, "This message is hidden because sidefootsitter/Zoidberg is on your ignore list."

I still say Szetela would be a great RB, but Soumare is a CB anyways, but thanks for the recognition anyhow and best of luck to Soumare.

Yeah good luck with winning 6 games over the next ten years. Glad he aint playing for the US. We seem to have a problem with cards already and he would make it ten times worse.

There has to be some gold-digger out there who cares about the future of our central defense. He's way hotter than David Regis.

i see szetela in a szetela/edu/bradley rotation in midfield...

i do agree, he could do right back, but i think spector could do it better...

as to defending set plays...gooch versus bakary.... gooch has done it at the elite level..

usa doesn't lack in big guys in the middle, but guys in the middle who are comfortable on the ball, and can defend...that's the guy i',mlooking for

This is clearly a counterfeit Giffenbone drunk-post. There is no mention of Tim Howard's awesomeness.
