    Anyone heard anything about this?

On another board people were talking about a press conference being called for July 25th (yes, July 25th), and saying that it was supposed to be some really bad news for you all.

It sounded like "my cousin's-friend's-roomate works for the club" kind of stuff but could be kinda interesting nonetheless. Anyone else heard something about this.

I don't think press conferences get scheduled two and a half months in advance to begin with.

Well, Man U is playing in Chicago that day, maybe they are going to relocate to the windy city and compete with the Fire and Chivas USA for fans?

(Tried to put smile within text, not sure how)

The other folks were speculating it's the end of Fergie, so that's why I would care, just interesting is all. No troll intended or nothing.

Besides, that doesn't make sense to me, you don't wait so long to drop the manager when your preparing for the league to start.

I agree that's unlikely. I don't think there's any truth to this, simply because I find it unlikely that anything very important would leak so easily that far in advance.

But if it the leak *is* true... my best guess would be that someone's buying the team.

Nothing else really makes all that much sense. That's past the ideal point in the summer to buy players, so it's probably not Ruud or Roy leaving. It would make a managerial search more complicated, so I doubt that. And if they planned on having a successor lined up soon, and announcing it then... well, we'd be hearing a lot, lot more about it already.

    Probably fake, though.

My guess is that Man U is moving to Idaho permanently.

Not good news for Favre :(. Besides, the Pack could use somebody at strongside.
