Jeff Causey, GK Coach at UMD and former MLS player, has decided to renew his career in MLS. He has been contacted by numerous clubs in the league and will be leaving UMD soon.
I'm happy for Jeff but sad for UMD Soccer because he has made a big impact on the program. It just shows how difficult it is to keep everything in place from last season when the feeling was "everyone will be coming back so we expect to be back in the Final Four." It's only the beginning in February.......

glad to hear he's left UMD
his presence was counterproductive to UVa's success.

and a little more bad news.....

I forgot to post the other bad news, Nino Marcantio the Terps third leading scorer broke his foot two weeks ago in a pickup game. If you remember he came into last season with a broken foot and it took him most of the season to find his best form late. This time he has plenty of time to properly heal.
College soccer better FEAR THE TURTLE in 2003!
