Bologna and Parma once again are victims of the fashion police.

I would have to say that Manchester United took a step down by affiliating with Nike....now they will just look like every other Nike sponsored team with the little stripes on the side......blah

FC Zwolle away... I wouldn't be caught dead at a golfclub with that boring dark green/blue.

Sure it's available. The question is, "Why would I buy it?"

If you were walking on a street late at night, cars would be able to see you and not hit you.

Also, we would all do better with more joy in our lives.

  9. Or see you in order to hit you. :D

Actually, I kind of like the jersey.

And I like ManU's new blue jersey, but am utterly confused. Why blue? That's not, to my knowledge, a club color. Black from last season I could understand because it's a neutral color, like white. But blue?? And it's not just ManU. Many clubs are starting to be a bit hard to discern because of their newfangled kits. It's not just an American problem, strangely, as USL fans often assume it is.

I hate those kits where the sponser feels the need to put its logo ALL OVER IT. Umbro used to do this.

Wow, Italian soccer must be horribly bad on and off the pitch if a historic club like Parma has to use Champion gear. That's pathetic. I didn't even know they made soccer gear.

What? No mention of Arsenal's away kit -- kind of looks like a Spiderman suit to me.

Yeah, it sort of looks like tie-dyed. Someone must have been smoking something when they designed that. I get confused now, because Arsenal and ManU have phone company sponsors and have a circle on their jerseys (the Vodaphone logo) and the O2 logo.

It's kind of funny, because it looks like they're walking around with ZEROES on their shirts. No doubt some fans will talk some $#!t if they get blanked.

That's the goalie jersey. The away uniform is all white.

In defense of the Parma uniform (it was my adopted hometown for 4 months), the blue and yellow horizontal stripes is the same jersey they have had for years

Champion, as far as I can recall, has been their sponsor since the team parted with Puma (or at the very least, for the past three years.) Walk on down Via Mazzini and you'll see a Champion store with all the replica jerseys. The logo down the side is new - it is ripping off Kappa from a few years ago. If they made the red part of the "C" yellow, I think it would look much better.

Joy is a new product from the dairy kings Parmalat (sort of a creamy yogurt that Dannon now has). It's just like when Arsenal went from Sega to Dreamcast on the front of their uniforms.

As for third jerseys, most major clubs have these now. It helps with kit clashing, but the primary purpose is to sell more merchandise (works for me, I love the black Milan one.)

They wore Lotto for one season ('98-'99) and it actually looks half decent. So half decent in fact, I own it. (And iirc, they've always had the C's down the sleeves)

Lotto also managed to make Croatia's uniform look not completely ugly.

My fault, I was thinking of the black jersey.

  19. Thank you for the clarification on the blue jersey, whirlwind.

Skip, I think the 3rd jerseys last year were black. Not sure about the GK jerseys. I can never get thoase straight! lol
