I am really a fanatic of young soccer players in MLS could you guys that are more inform than me help with this threat????
Re: Re: Bad a$$ kid of the week No... I am not...I am just tired of see some foreing burn out players drag their a$$es and get paid so much money....
I think you're looking for a "Bad Ass Young Player of the Week in MLS." Since Kyle Martino is going to win this award a lot this year (presuming you keep it up), I'd have to go with Todd Dunivant of San Jose, who had a nice goal and played stellar defense in his first professional game (and was voted MOTM). He's not a teenager (I think he's 23), but he is a rookie and still fairly young. I hope that helps.
Re: Re: Re: Bad a$$ kid of the week completely agree with you.... and flash man's nomination of todd dunivant is a very good place to start. the kid was a stud this week.
Thanks ...right on the money This really help there is so much information that many of our young players are getting overlook....It will be great if FSW could show some plays done by this kids on MLS
Here is the the 64000 dlrs question.... This is for you, the VETERANS OF BIGSOCCER: who can we talk to make this YOUNG SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD OFFICIAL
Re: Here is the the 64000 dlrs question.... Over on the USA Board, under Junior Teams, they usually run a weekly "U-23 in MLS" type thing, which you may have a lot of interest in. In this case, I don't think Dunivant would have qualified, as he's 23 or older.
Re: Re: Here is the the 64000 dlrs question.... You are right about Dunivan age but I thing if we have a BOY running with the big dogs he should be recognize on the BIG BOYS BOARD also, I would like to see at least one U17 ON MLS ON EVERY TEAM
Dunivant's 22 actually. Doesn't turn 23 till December I think. It's really a shame that he's not eligible to play for the U-23 team that'll be going to the Olympics next year; the team sure could've used him in the backline.
Re: Re: Bad a$$ kid of the week Don't ever say that again, you stupid racist. And before you turn around and flame me, maybe YOU'RE Catholic. Just don't go there. Prof
I am catholic. if you can't laugh at yourself, who can? so ... 1. Lighten up 2. Don't call me a racist.
Re: Re: Re: Bad a$$ kid of the week Come on guys take it easy......, my interest is basically have the name of the best young player of the week recognize by this website, not too much... but some of this kids are working their SS off meanwhile some foreing just show up and collect a hefty paycheck
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Bad a$$ kid of the week There is a website to vent all your sexual frustation: soccer365 boards, do not trash this nice website
Re: Re: Re: Bad a$$ kid of the week The funny thing about this post, is it's more "Racist" to label Catholics as a race in the first place. Put this down as a finalist for stupid post of the month/year. I like the idea behind this tread. It will be really hard to make this an official weekly topic/BS award, all you have to do is keep posting the same title with the MLS week. Like this could be Week 1 and next week, Week 2. You probably need to set some qualifing rules like age limit(I think U25) or do they really have to be young Americans, you know young internationals like Vaca or Quintinilla. I think they should be included because they are helping to build MLS just like the young americans are. Under those criteria, I'd have to say Ronnie O'Brien for this week. He filled the middle in very well and that goal was goal of the year material. If not, then Dunivent played a good game as well.
