Maybe I missed the discussion, but does anyone have an insight into why ESPN Soccer Saturday show the same MLS teams in consecutive weeks? Didn't LA have like 4 in a row? Doesn't NY/NJ have the same thing coming up? I know there are only 10 teams, but couldn't they mix it up a little more? Is it because LA, NY and CHI have the biggest markets?
I know this is the fifth post but I really feel somebody should make mention of the fact that espn is a big bunch of clowns.
As this thread gains new life, my guess is that ESPN is not choosing the teams that are being shown during the day. My guess is MLS is choosing them based on a combination of factors including: - Probable attendance - Stadium Availability - Team Market Size - Marketability of player(s) on a particular team - Probably not the temperature
Could it also have to do with logistics. Perhaps the film crew catches a ride on one of the planes that the teams are flying on as well. I don't know, just a guess but it is certainly possible.
