This isn't true. It's said a lot, but Arsenal with Giroud and Koscielny were quite good at corners, and led the league in headed goals for several seasons.
Somehow ends up ten yards upfield and allowing a clear midfield ahead of him when his opponent inevitably wins the header too.
Arteta was going to bring in Dani for ESR, but changed his plan when Saka got injured. Smith-Rowe is my MOTM. And if he is taken off for our final sub, he should get a Standing-O from our bench, in lieu of traveling fans.
If you say so. I have many, many many memories of the ball not getting over first man or going straight to the goalie.
FT 1-0 to The Arsenal The first half was a complete throw away The second half came to life and we exerted authority on it Just barely squeaked it out Not as impressive a win as 3 days ago, but just as important Onward
Whoa! Back-to-back wins! Excellent gut check to come back so quickly and win on the road. May this add more confidence to the side. Not sexy but we'll done. Onward and upward.
Haven't had a chance to watch that much of him (didn't watch the last two matches that carefully), but I really like what I've seen from ESR so far.
I have a question about corners. Several times today Saka and Smith-Rowe stood over the ball suggesting they could play either an in-swinger or out-swinger, but when Arsenal mob the keeper in the 6 yard box it’s always going to be an in-swinger. There doesn’t appear to be a point in having them both stand there, unless they are going to play short along the goal line, but I don’t recall Arteta’s Arsenal ever doing that.
