    The Under 17 national team, which this morning beat Fiorentina of the same age group 6-0 in a friendly on the penultimate day of the match in Coverciano (goals from Samuele Inácio, Andrea Luongo, Oliver Blini, Vincenzo Damiano and a brace from Giuseppe Forte), is ready to try their hand at the first round of the European qualifiers, scheduled from 5 to 11 November in San Marino, the first step towards defending the continental title won, for the first time in history, in the last edition in Cyprus (Italy-Portugal 3-0 , June 5).

    Coach Massimiliano Favo has made official the list of 20 players called up, all born in 2008, who will make their debut in Group 9 against the hosts San Marino on Tuesday 5 November (11am) at the Acquaviva Stadium, before facing Wales and Norway, respectively Friday 8th (11am) and Monday 11th November (11am) at the Montecchio Stadium.     Anyone have an idea why Giacomo Gabbiani gets left out on the Italy under teams? The kid has consistently destroyed primavera competition. and this year has 12 goals in 9 games.

    First the away match in Poland, then the match at Viola Park against Romania. The Under 20 national team is ready to return to the field for the fifth and sixth match in the Elite League: Bernardo Corradi's Azzurrini, after the first four matches, have scored four points, the result of the victory on the field of Czechia on their debut, of the draw at home to Portugal in the most recent match and two home defeats, the one against Germany in Rieti and the one against England in Frosinone.


    The double match scheduled for Friday 15 November at 4pm in Bialystok and Tuesday 19 November at 2pm (live on RaiSport) in the Fiorentina sports center marks the beginning of Leonardo Bonucci's adventure as Corradi's technical assistant.     Having qualified for the final phase of the European Championship in Slovakia in October, and waiting (3 December) to know the opponents in the group, the National Under 21 team begins its approach to EURO 2025 with two friendly tests in Italy: Friday 15 at the 'Carlo Castellani' stadium in Empoli (4.15 pm, live RaiSport) and on Tuesday 19 November at the 'Alberto Picco' stadium in La Spezia (6.15 pm, live Rai 2), the Azzurrini will face France and Ukraine respectively, opponents who - as Italy - have already purchased the ticket for the final phase.

    For this double commitment, Carmine Nunziata has called 27 footballers, who will gather on the morning of Monday 11th at the Olympic Preparation Center in Tirrenia and, in the afternoon, will begin to prepare for the double commitment.

    PREVIOUS MATCHES The match against France will be played for the twentieth time at Under 21 level. Azzurrini ahead with seven victories (the last in the final for the third place of the Tournoi Maurice Revello last June, 1-0 with a goal from Cerri), seven draws and five defeats, the last of which in Cluj in the final phase of the European Championship in 2023. However, there have been six previous matches against the Ukrainians, with Italy having won three times (the last in a friendly in Reggio Calabria in March 2023 with a goal from Lovato and a brace from Colombo) and drawn once. The last precedent was won by the Ukrainians, 4-0 in the Toulon tournament in June.

    IN EMPOLI AND LA SPEZIA The National Under 21 team will return to Empoli for the fifth time, just over three years after the 3-0 against Luxembourg scored by Pirola and Cancellieri and Olesen's own goal. The 'Castellani' stadium, meanwhile, also hosted the senior national team in the test against Bosnia and Herzegovina last June. in preparation for EURO 2024 (1-0, goal by Frattesi). Under 21 who will instead play in La Spezia for the third time after the 2-1 against France in August 2007 (goals from Dessena and Rossi) and the 3-0 in Andorra in September 2016 (a brace from Di Francesco and goals from Pellegrini) .

    The Under 21's are tearing France apart 2-0 and you love to see it. I stand by my earlier statement that Italy will win the Euro U21's next summer

    Yeah France was much better in the second half and scored some well deserved goals on their behalf but Italy for sure left 2 or 3 goals hanging around. Still feel real good about this team next summer. I don;t know how Ndour plays in this midfield.tbh especially over Bove or Fabbian,, the guys has the worst touch for a mid. Casadei is brilliant and I do not know how he doesn't play every week either in England or Italy. I thought Kayode was too looses in this game and got beat constantly ..would have like to see Zanotti come on for him in the second.
