On one hand, it's a good sign we dominated them and it shows our talent level. On the other hand, this loss means dirigenti will continue to ignore these players. Instead of evaluating their talent, they will use it as an excuse to do nothing with them.
Who is ignoring them? At AC Milan we are not ignoring ours: Camarda, Zeroli, Bartesaghi all have had first team experience already in official Serie A games, and are headed now to our new Milan Futuro that will play for Serie C. Liberali is part of our USA tour with the first team and has had his start already against Rapid Vienna. Cuenca, Torriani, Nasti, Bakoune, and Raveyre are all traveling to the USA with the first team. Sia and Magni are good players too. Alex Jimenez who was on loan with the Primavera has pretty much been promoted to the first team and signed permanently from Real. At Milan, we do believe in supporting the homegrown players and the Primavera/Milan Futuro players.
Brasitusa That's great and all, but if you look at the Milan first team and their purchases, it hasn't been great. They need to give these kids more first team time and minutes.
This is the important take away. We dominated Spain. We didn't win but sometimes that happens. If you hypothetically replay this game 10 more times and we probably win at least 7 or 8 of them.
I, who have been following the youth national teams (other than U21) for at least a few years before 2009, can only be satisfied with how we are moving forward with the various youth national teams, that is, if they were playing with an U17 or U19 team a few decades ago we would have done struggling to get past the midfield other than forcing Spain to play with 11 men behind the ball as we did for large stretches of the match today
It's true. I can't recall a match where a Spanish team played as much catenaccio as they did. But kudos to them for getting a result when they were outplayed. Let's see if the dirigenti in Italia respond now.
Why am I not surprised. Last summer when Italy won the U19 EC, did Udinese come knocking for any Italian players to join them? I certainly don't recall. But true to Udinese form, today they signed a player from this years Spain U19 team. Udinese doesn't even hide their distain of Italian players. While I'm sure this Spanish player they signed is a fine prospect, had Italy U19 converted any other their numerous chances in their SF versus Spain and gone on to win it, can't see Udinese making an overture to any on the Italy team.
The National Under 19 team, after having surrendered to Spain in the semi-finals of the last European Championship, is preparing to start the new season with a double friendly test against Slovenia, scheduled for Tuesday 6 August (6 pm) at the 'Giuseppe Morigi' municipal stadium ' in Manzano and Thursday 8th (11am) at the City Stadium in Ajdovščina.

Carmada two goals and hit the crossbar. Nava the goalkeeper has looked really good for Futuro. Also liked what i saw of Diego Sia. As terrible as the senior team is, Milan has some real nice Italian talents in the pipeline
Falvo visto che qualcosa di buono sta Uscendo, come ti avevo detto ero MODERATAMENTE OTTIMISTA perchè qualcosa di buono sta uscendo PS: Falvo ti ricordi cosa ti avevo detto l'11 Luglio del 2022 "allora per tirarti su il morale ti posto il video dui questo giocatore "Mattia Liberali" classe 2007 del Milan U15" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Falvo seeing that something good is coming out, as I told you I was MODERATELY OPTIMISTIC because something good is coming out PS: Falvo do you remember what I told you on July 11, 2022 "So to cheer you up I'll post the video of this player "Mattia Liberali" born in 2007 for Milan U15"
