I don't think of Méxicans that way at all. I love your country. I love the food, the music, the culture (outside Azteca). But I came to México to see the USA compete for 3 points. And hopefully to see every one of you lot cry. Note that I would never try to induce such crying by imposing physical pain on you.

The fans who were around us were the poor and stupid ones (same applies for Mr. Confederate flag). I never meant to say anything bad about the whole of México.

I was referring to the dogs around us. Not Mexican people in general.

we were located so far away, i am not sure what kind of acknowledgement you expected. i did notice a few players point up toward us and clap.
personally, i think 5k+ in 2013 is an impossibility. i think 1k is a goal to reach for first.

I couldn't have said it better myself.
I'll be back down to the Azteca in 4 years to celebrate when we demonstrate our dominance. Mexico will be going down in the Azteca soon.
And there is no sporting event in any stadium in the USA where you couldn't feel safe bringing your wife or kids along. The same can't be said about Mexico. It's a matter of class.
I brought my wife down there expecting some colorful displays and some beer showers, but the people defending launching missiles on these boards are completely classless. I won't be bringing my wife to any more encounters at the Azteca, but I'll be there enjoying the hell out of our boys kicking some Mexican tail. You can count on it.

    You see that?

That's your BS argument flying out the window along with any sort of credibility you might have had.

aww boo hoo, wifey got showered with beers at Azteca?

    Poor you.

Maybe next time you can bring her to a Houston Rockets game and Ron Artest can punch her in the face.

That would be ohhhh so classy.

    Why not aim high?

4 years is a long time - maybe we'll have achieved something higher than cult status by then.

why not be realistic? build the fanbase, build a dedicated passionate support. 5k people going to azteca in 4 years is unrealistic and unnecessary. lets be optimistic, hopeful and realistic. i have been a fan for as long as i can remember and have seen the sport grow but thinking or hoping for an increase of more than ten times the number of people in four years? not going to happen.

Maybe Ramon Ramirez won't be involved in vehicular homicides back in Mexico. F***ing murderer.

    Unnecessary?

I too have been a fan for many decades. It just really bugs me why there is not more support after all these years. Too many people talk a good game but on these boards (and elsewhere) but never follow it up with action.

    Support your country!

    5k isn't happening.

I am a lock for 2013. I just couldn't do it this year due to prior commitments. So, I am taking my life in my hands and going to Honduras with the girlfriend too. So you will have two more for 2013 but by then she'll probably be my wife! :D

I'm surprised you only got a red card.

After all, you were only talking about "dogs", eh?

Serves me right. Argue with an idiot and all you get is an idiotic argument.

    LOL

    Idiotic argument?

You just said there wasn't one sporting event in America where you would feel unsafe with your family.

    I gave your three examples.

Don't be mad because you live in a bubble and suffered from culture shock down in Mexico.
