I'm pretty sure it's the tackle that injured him, woulda happened on any boot. Watch the replay!

In an age that boots are made to seem more and more influencial it's only bad luck to Nike, i think, to have their star total 90 donned player getting injured in the first game he's worn them.

Ofcourse bad luck to Wayne aswell... And England...

Ivan Cordoba was amongst the testers of the new boot and he was still standing after the game over the weekend...

But that article is indeed interesting. conspiracy...

    Re: Rooney wearing AZT90IIII

I've not been on here for a few days so sorry if this has already been mentioned but, Mikael Silvestre was actually wearing the new total 90s against Boro and charlton and did he break his foot? No. I think all the people that are blaming it on the boot are people who dont actually wear new boots. If something is going to be broken its going to happen. It has nothing to do with the footwear. Thousands of players wear totals and week in week out and i bet you could count the metatarsal injury on or two hands if that?

finally, someone who understands what I've been saying all along.

and that letter, is it real? I have real doubts about that. I mean, yeah it gets everyone talking about Nike, but not in a good light(especially in England)

I can't believe anyone would believe that letter is real. I guess it follows the "if it's on the internet it must be true" line of thinking.

Will you do us a favor and let us know how they are once you get them.

I am going to go out on a limb here and guess you will get them before any of us, unless they end up in the store I work at in the next few days I might be tempted to buy them.

    * I just saw the black ones on Soccer.com and I am in love with them. I can't wait to try them on. I hope they feel like the 2's in term of fit, if they do then I will be the happiest person to ever try on a boot. I had seen them in the Nike catalog but it was just a side view not the full on view and I liked them then, now it's just become my mission in life to buy them.

I 2nd that. if they're as wide as the III's, I think a lot of people are going to be highly disappointed.

    Re: Rooney wearing AZT90IIII

It wasnt so much the width that was an issue for me it was the length and the the overall chunky feeling of the boot. A 10 was too small and a 10.5 was just a touch too long in the 3's.

    slightly off topic...

just on the thread title --> "Re: AZT90IIII Thread All AZT90IIII posts go here".......shouldn't it be "Re: AZT90IV Thread All AZT90IV posts go here"?

    just a thought

I am sorry to ask this but when will it be launched? The nike website has yet to be updated. Are there delays as Rooney's injury has brought the boots under the microscope for now.

gilberto sylva had a very nice pair of blacked out ones on in training for the gunners a few days ago. In the picture he is sitting down and you get a great veiw of the boots. they have red studs so i am assuming the are the red 90's that have been blacked out. Check it out on getty...
