So...we need to get the job done on the 28th. The game on the 28th will also be streamed live and the ticket information is supposed to come out sometime today.

Impressed with your season so far. Given how late this team was cobbled together I expected you to be mired deep down in the table, not averaging nearly two points per game. Congratulations
The product on the field is definitely exciting. Our boys are undefeated when playing 11 v 11 for the whole game. That said, I think this season will be just the springboard many of our players were looking for in becoming regular contributors in MLS next season and beyond. Such is the case in minor league sports, but I rather fear that this off-season will feature plenty of roster rebuilding.
AZ United take the first half lead but fall to the Galaxy, 2-1. @kenntomasch , I actually had no idea you used to do Chicago Fire games--apparently it's like riding a bike because you did a very good job, as did Allen. I come from a broadcasting family so I know how difficult it can be. Well done.
Watched the game tonight. I thought AZ made a very nice showing against the Galaxy and accounted themselves well. Best of luck to you during the balance of the season (well, except against the Sac Republic ).
Kenn calling the game on YouTube. Good job sir. Is it just me or did the supporters group shrink? What is with the clock? 1:15:14 ? IS that supposed to say 75?
I feel bad for bailing after seeing game pics. Had my ticket, scarf and a change of clothes at work but I was exhausted and opted for the YouTube stream at home.
Curious as to what you guys think are the reason why the wheels seem to have fallen off the bus on the playing side? Too many games, not enough use of the squad, coach not experienced enough, wrong tactics.....what?
All but five of the 16 league matches have been one-goal affairs (and, obviously, all of the USOC matches were, so 14/19). They blew the lead against OC and apparently didn't show up in Carson but thought they had the tying goal against Dayton (it was Dayton, wasn't it?) and didn't get it. Their inability to score goals is a concern, obviously. But here's what recent USL Pro expansion teams have done: Los Angeles Blues (2011)..8-7-9, 33 points (8th/12) VSI Tampa Bay (2013)......9-12-5, 32 points (10th/13) Antigua Barracuda (2011)..9-13-2, 29 points (9th/12) FC New York (2011)........6-11-7, 25 points (11th/12) Phoenix FC (2013).........5-14-7, 22 points (12th/13) Dayton Dutch Lions (2011).2-16-6, 12 points (12th/12) Only LA made the playoffs. They're going to have to get 10 points (thanks to the deduction) in the last 12 to be better than Phoenix FC. It's not easy to be a new club in this league. And to come together at the last minute with a first-time head coach in a competitive league with very little training and no history together....well, it was always going to be tough. As for recent events, perhaps they've hit a wall, I don't know. They've got some good players to build on. With the benefit of an off-season, just about everything should be better in 2015.
All very good points Ken. It's been an interesting journey, so far, this season. I agree that they have players who are more than good enough for this level and preseason would most certainly have helped. My concern is that, as a team, they are not coming together. Team cohesion is not getting better, the performances don't seem to be getting better. If any or all of these were the case, then there would be light at the end the tunnel. The concern for me is that our coaching staff do not appear to be having a positive influence on these things.
Again, to be fair, anything this club accomplishes in year one is a bonus. You hire a coach for this unique set of circumstances, you trust he's the guy. He's got job security (to a point, obviously). If this conversation is still happening 12 months from now, perhaps it's a different story. And remember, no matter what....still better than Phoenix FC.
