A few weeks ago my sister got my mom started on facebook... I respond that it's a horrible idea, and begrudgingly accept the inevitable friend request. Today I get an update from Facebook that my mom is now a fan of La Barra Brava...
Horrible idea, my mom and sister-in-law signed up and did the inevitable request. I ignored sis and deleted mom after a few days. Believe me, it's waaay better for mom if she doesn't know half the shit that goes on in my life.
Don't feel bad. I unfriended my sister and I'm very thankful that my mother is one of the "Techno Amish". I wish that Facebook had a filter to it like blogs or livejournal.

I'm on the opposite end. I've posted on my daughter's facebook (with a newpaper link) that I've never sold her! If I really want to get her, I post that we like to listen to Gordon Lightfoot.
