Anyone remember how strange it was to see the Quakes in white ? I remember a little bit, we won the f-ing cup that year ! Is there any group / supporters group that is willing to coordinate an away schedule for the casual fan to travel with them ? Casbah / Ultras have any ideas ?

I strongly believe that this year, our squad will really need us, their supporters more than ever.

You mean on road trips to someplace other than L.A.???

Uh, the Rapids are the next closest team. If you left today (thursday) for Saturday's match you could probably travel the 1300 miles needed to get there by Friday evening, provided you took the necessary breaks...

Yeah, you're right. That's a long way to travel. I had a few Harps in me last night and wasn't thinking too straight. But I'm feeling much better now.

I might attend a couple of away matches these year. I was thinking of attending the L.A match, columbus, chicago, and maybe even D.C match, so i might see you there rcoull. The L.A match is for sure though.

    Long live the Quakes!!!

I really want to see the Quakes in New Jersey. But I don't think it's gonna happen this season. I already have my vacation scheduled around the Wednesday LA road trip. And I want to see the Quakes play the Metros on a vacation to New York and New Jersey (where my dad's family is from).

Oh, and Club Quakes might be scheduling road trips for the LA games and the All Star and Cup games in LA. So stay tuned to their website. Become a member and get email updates on that if you want. The road trips are always a ton of fun. I won't be taking the bus for the June game, but any other trips the Club makes I'm so there. It was lots of fun last season!

Couldn't help but think it's too bad Sacramento is a long way off from having a stadium good enough for an MLS team, and the league could expand there. I know there has been some interest expressed but I'm not too optimistic.

A Sac MLS team could make for a great "local derby" and an easy road trip for SJ fans. Too bad the only sporting rivalry between Sac and the Bay Area is so one-sided at the moment. :D
