Malena is a fucking hypocrite whore. I'm almost more pissed that Adam (the remaining Average Joe) didn't call her out on it.
What did you expect? I too was a bit surprised, though I must say in retrospect that it made perfect sense. It did come down to looks. Remeber her reaction when presented the average guys on the first episode? She choose the bland, but good looking boy over the successful man. Adam was very gracious in being rejected. He went up huge with his demeanor and class. Remember good looking girls are a dime a dozen. A special women with a great heart are truly rare gems. The next installment looks pretty much like a satire of this first installment. The guys presented were not average. They were fat ugly and did I mention obese?
What do you suppose the reaction would have been if she picked Adam? Average Joe? in looks only. Turns out the guy's a millionaire. So if she would have picked Adam would people say she did it for the money? The preview of the next one looks horrible. What is average about those guys? The way I see it you have two extremes. One one side you have the hot sexy pretty boys. On the other side you have the dorks and geeks. And in the middle you have the Average Joe. Looks like the producers overloaded on the hunks and dorks. Don't be surprised to see one of the hunks win again.
I'll take Adam! He's the funniest sweetest thing, and has sooo much class. Melana was too dumb and uninteresting for him anyway.
Yes, if she choose Adam you are right she would be suspect of chossing money, but really, Adam was much more interesting than the other kid. I will definitely not watch the next installment too. They should call it Fugly Joe!
My wife said that he'll probably have women all over America lining up for his phone number. He'll have to beat them off, living in NYC. He was waaaaay more interesting, funny, accomplished, and had more personality than that other dude.
i have not seen this show, but saw a photo of this Adam guy. Now, speaking from a record of staunch heterosexuality, but is Adam really that "bad" looking? He kinda looks like Joey from Friends in the photo I saw. Was he really so less good looking than the guy who won?
The good news is that after her extended date with the guy she choose she can move in with him at his parents house. You would think that some of these women would have standards by now.
It all comes down to attraction. I think she may have developed a good friendship with Adam - they got along real well. But, she wasn't physically attracted to him. Now, I know for a strong relationship there needs to be more then that, but without that, all you have is a friendship. At least people can't say she is a gold digger.
Did you see how much they were making out? 27 year old who is decent looking, funny, smart and owns his own business. or.... 26 year old hot waiter who has no personality and lives at home. I wanted Adam to win, but I expected her to pick Jason because from the first episode I could just tell that Malena was fake. But the ladies in my office would be banging down Adam's door right now if they knew where he lived. He came out looking awesome. And yeah, the next series looks terrible. There is a difference between an Average Joe and total nerds and fat slobs.
Adam is almost as bad as Malena as far as being a hypocrite goes. I couldn't stand his whole modesty schtick ("Yeah, I really don't like to talk about my money...). Then he proceeds to announce the fact that he's a millionaire to everyone in America who was watching. Has his own article in Fortune magazine framed on his wall...takes Malena to the bar that he partly owns...etc.

You could tell she was gonna pick pretty boy. She gave friend vibes to Adam the whole time, and when alone with him there was always space between them, as with Mr. Peoples where she was all over him. I think she'll have great sex with that fellow for a month and realize that he is as dull as unflavored yogurt.
that adam guy is less than decent-looking. his smile is kinda scary. she's not a bitch for not picking a guy she isn't attracted to. and that she picked the one that wasn't rich probably makes her the opposite of a "whore."
You're right, she's not a whore. The truth is that those guys could have changed lives but stayed the same person, and she still would have picked Jason. She would have thought how awesome it was that Jason was so humble in spite of being so successful, rich and attractive to boot. And she would have had the convenient excuse of how Adam lives with his mom and isn't as far along in his career as she would prefer, and that's why she didn't choose him... not because of his looks. Have you ever seen Chris Rock's "Bigger and Blacker" routine? He does this funny segment where he talks about how women decide if they're going to sleep with a guy within the first five minutes of meeting them. He pretends he's a girl shaking hands with a new man, and thinking (out loud for the audience): "I'm gonna fuhhhck him! I hope he don't say nothin' too stupid." That was Melana to a T. The minute she met Jason, she knew she was going to choose him over one of the A.J.'s, provided Jason didn't blow it. He didn't blow it...
Your giving him too much credit I doubt that young kid would have a clue how to bang her much less know how to get her off.
