Hello to all, I am now in a search of how well the avg of attendance for the top league across all country in the AFC. If some of you have the information regarding this, lets share it among the members in this forum.. Cheers

Here is a good resource for the Thai Premier League. http://www.clubwebsite.co.uk/chonburifc/113109/News/view/851108 It is updated after every round of fixtures. Hope that helps.
well,I'm also surprised by that standard. But HK clubs like Kitchee is very strong and considering HK population, around 1000 avg is not bad. Singapore League also had the same problem as HK
Not sure if that was sarcastic or not, but this is exactly why HK needs a team in CSL. To give HKers a legitimate local club to rally behind.
I am sure that no drastic change in attendance rate even if there is a Hong Kong team playing in CSL. The Hong Kong fans are only focus on BPL, La Liga and UEFA Champions League. Not many HKers care about the local and Asian football.
I dunno, Singapore had the same issues until LionsXII came in and peaked local interest by joining the Malaysian Super League. They get solid crowds over 6,000 in an 8,000 seat stadium usually. Not mind blowing, but they outdraw their national team and easily outdraw every team in the S League and make a great game atmosphere. I split my time between Beijing and HK and I think people here would like to see a local club, they just don't have one to latch onto right now, because the local league has a bad reputation and no real reason to cheer for one team over another. Put a HK CSL team in Mong Kok Stadium for a few years and see how it does.
Self fulfilling profecy perhaps. When the local league is destined to have a low standard you might as well look to the best leagues. New Zealand's local league had poor support before they got an a-league club. Well relative to the local league it has good support, not really compared to Aussie teams. Hong Kong would be a very attractive place for some big name players if they had their own team in a stronger league like the CSL. Could potentially actually give Guangzhou a run for their money.

There are 3 to 4 clubs in Malaysia with average attendance between 10k-20k . After their nation became 2010 AFF champions, people started to support their local leagues. More than 60,000 fans attended the 2014 FA Cup Final and 90,000 in 2014 Malaysia Cup Final. Rare to see such a big crowd in other leagues in AFC
