This might be an ignorant question, but why build a double-sided video board? To me, it doesn't look like it will serve fans in the stadium, so who is it for? If it's just for advertising during non-game times, that seems awfully expensive.

A small part of StubHub's deal is some signage at Staples Center and LA Live. But, AEG has scored big on naming rights in Carson. Once StubHub's 6 year deal is up, they'll have basically made enough money from StubHub and Home Depot to cover the construction costs of the entire complex.

Part of the HD sponsorship was that the Galaxy had a few million in credit at their store and shopped there exclusively. I imagine SH had something similar involving the fees or what not. So not a straight cash deal.
