Europa League Wolfsberg - EL Group Stage Austria Wien - 3rd Q Round Sturm Graz - 2nd Q Round vs. (Cliftonville (NIR)/Haugesund (NOR) winner) Champions League Salzburg - Enter at the Group Stage LASK - 3rd Q Round
Haugesand drew in Northern Ireland, but won at home 5-1. 25 Jul Haugesand - Sturm Graz 1 Aug Sturm Graz - Haugesand
Europa League Haugesund 2 - 0 Sturm Graz Really good result for Haugesund—two goal cushion and no away goals conceded. Will be difficult for Sturm to overcome in the home leg.
Europa League Sturm Graz 2 - 1 Haugesund A few minutes after halftime, Sturm had evened up the series with a 2-0 lead. But they couldn't add a third, and 25 minutes later, Haugesund got the away goal that essentially sealed the deal. A very short stint in Europe for the first Austrian club...
Europa League Austria Wien 1 - 2 Apollon Limassol Looks like a second Austrian team may be crashing out of the Europa League after one round. Poor result in the home leg leaves Austria needing a win in Cyprus.

Champions League LASK 3 - 1 Basel An impressive 5-2 aggregate win over Basel. LASK's next opponent will be Brugge.
Europa League Apollon Limassol 3 - 1 Austria Wien Austria lost both legs and crashed out 5-2 on aggregate. The second Bundesliga club to fail to advance in the Europa League. Wolfsberger AC will be entering in the group stage.
Champions League LASK 0 - 1 Brugge Not an encouraging first home leg. Another Austrian team is on the brink...
Champions League Brugge 2 - 1 LASK Like Austria Wien, LASK lost both legs of their series, falling 3-1 on aggregate. The club from Linz will now continue along with Wolfsberger AC in the Group Stage of the Europa League.

Obviously, Liverpool will be favorites. But could have done a lot worse than Napoli in the #2 spot in the draw. (Real Madrid, Dortmund, Tottenham, Atletico, Ajax, Benfica, Shakhtar were the other #2 seeds.) Certainly not easy, but I could see Salzburg advancing.
EUROPA League LASK can get their campaign off to a great start with probably the easiest game first. Wolfsberg starts with one of the toughest matches in a difficult group. Thursday 19 September Group D LASK - Rosenborg (Nor) PSV - Sporting CP Group J Gladbach - Wolfsberg Roma - Basaksehir (Tur) Thursday 2 October Group D Sporting CP - LASK Rosenborg - PSV Group J Wolfsberg - Roma Basaksehir - Gladbach Thursday 24 October Group D PSV - LASK Sporting CP - Rosenborg Group J Basaksehir- Wolfsberg Roma - Gladbach Thursday 4 November Group D LASK - PSV Sporting CP -Rosenborg Group J Gladbach - Wolfsberg Roma - Basaksehir Thursday 28 November Group D Rosenborg - LASK Sporting CP - PSV Group J Wolfsberg - Gladbach - Basaksehir - Roma Thursday 6 December Group D LASK - Sporting CP PSV -Rosenborg Group J Roma- Wolfsberg Gladbach - Basaksehir
Honestly, I can’t see either Austrian club advancing in the Europa League. PSV and Sporting should finish ahead of LASK, and Roma and Borussia M’gladbach will most likely eliminate Wolfsberger AC.
Champions League Salzburg 6 - 2 Genk Great start for Salzburg in what should be their easiest match of the group stage. Napoli beat Liverpool in the other match, which isn't a good result if you consider the Italians as Salzburg's competition for the second advancement spot.
Europa League LASK 1 - 0 Rosenborg Borussia M’gladbach 0 - 4 Wolfsberger AC So who had WAC winning by four goals in Germany?! Great results for the Austrian clubs today. Lots of challenges still ahead in their groups, but what a wonderful start!
Champions League Liverpool 4 - 3 Salzburg Toughest match of the group stage for Salzburg, and they almost got a result at the defending champions Liverpool. Fought back valiantly from a three-goal deficit to tie the game an hour in. But ten minutes later, Liverpool scored the eventual winner. No points, but Jesse Marsch will have a lot to take away from this one.
Champions League Salzburg 2 - 3 Napoli This one really damaged Salzburg’s chances to advance. Obviously, losing at home to probably their greatest competition for the second spot isn’t good.
Europa League Sporting 2 - 1 LASK Wolfsberger AC 1 - 1 Roma PSV Eindhoven 0 - 0 LASK Istanbul Basaksehir 1 - 0 Wolfsberger AC No wins for the Austrian clubs since the first round, but LASK had respectable results at Sporting and PSV, and WAC earned a draw against Roma. Both teams currently sit third in their groups but within striking distance and 2/3 remaining fixtures at home.
Champions League Napoli 1 - 1 Salzburg After losing at home to Napoli, this was a better result. But Salzburg is still in a deep hole, four points behind Napoli and five points behind Liverpool. The last two matches (at Genk, home to Liverpool) are must-win if Salzburg is going to advance. And even that might not be enough.
Europa League LASK 4 - 1 PSV Eindhoven Wolfsberger AC 0 - 3 Istanbul Basaksehir LASK was losing at halftime but came back with a tremendous second half. Moved into second place in the group, two points behind Sporting and level with PSV. Rosenborg is eliminated, so it's those three vying for two spots. Wolfsberger AC surrendered three goals in the last 15 minutes to lose a key home match. WAC's Europa League campaign went from winning by four goals at Borussia M’gladbach to losing two straight to the Turks. They're now in last place in the group. The silver lining: Only three points separate the four teams.
Europa League Rosenborg 1 - 2 LASK Wolfsberger AC 0 - 1 Borussia M'gladbach LASK clinched advancement in Group D with a win at Rosenborg! Technically, PSV can equal LASK's point total on the last match day, but LASK owns the tie-breaker head-to-head results. On the day one Austrian club advanced, another was eliminated. Wolfsberger AC will finish last in Group J. Turned out to be a pretty tough group with teams currently #1 in Germany, #5 in Italy, and #2 in Turkey. The highlight was definitely on match day 1 where the Austrians beat the Bundesliga leaders away by four goals!
Champions League Genk 1 - 4 Salzburg A convincing away win has put Salzburg in a position to advance. Still trailing Liverpool and Napoli, who tied, any win by Salzburg in the home match against Liverpool should do. (The first meeting in Liverpool ended 4-3 for the home team.) Would be amazing to knock out the defending champions and current Premier League leaders...
