    GAK - Salzburg 3:1

Looks like Salzburg's fancy new team still needs a bit of work. Still, it should be quite an exciting season this year. Salzburg (EUR 28 mio) and Austria (EUR 25 mio) have some impressive budgets. Add Rapid (EUR 11 mio) and GAK (EUR 9 mio) and you should get an interesting championship race.

Things are looking good for the Bundesliga...

    ill go for Admira Wacker..

AS you now this team is iranian owned.. :)
they have 3 iranian players that i think Austrian league should be happy to have in their league their big name players

Pashazadeh-Azizi-Razzaghi are the 3 iranians in the team none of them are Iran national players.!! Pashazadeh and Azizi were part of the 98 Iranian team..in world cup 98 both were key players

also Recently Admira wacker bought a Bosnian player from the iranian 2nd division club Ogbab Tehran ;)

ill root for Admira this season..hehe Good luck

    Yeah it definitely was.
Sturm scored with two standards and a counter when we started attacks. Besides this they ALL defended in their 16er and had absolutely no further chance.

Well, we'll bounce back, that's for sure.

    Great you visit Austria!

Yeah the bundesliga has just started.
Rapid plays Superfund Pasching on the 23th of July at the Hanappi-Stadium
Austria plays GAK on the 20th at the Horr-Stadium ...
    ... if I remember correctly ...

    I can give you a little advice? watch the rapid-match! :D :D

    No problem. :)

It looks like Salzburg's team is starting to find itself.

I read Salzburg played more than 70 minutes a man down, scoring four goals. If true, that's pretty impressive!

I think Chileans Von Schwedler and Miranda play for Grazer AK (could be wrong? Feel free to correct me on that one), but I was just wondering--how are they playing in your guys opinions?
Von Schwedler left such a long time ago, and he has been capped but a few times, and when he played in the Chilean League he looked clumsy, IDK about now, but I don't see him getting into the NT.
Miranda, however, seems to me like an interesting prospect.
Comments and your opinions on them would be highly appreciated.

    Round 4: [R]

    Austria Wien 2 - 0 Ried
    Wacker Tirol 1 - 0 Admira
    GAK 1 - 0 Mattersburg
    Salzburg 0 - 2 Rapid Wien
    Pasching 2 - 2 Sturm Graz

Last year's top three again lead the table. Austria (12) has a perfect record, while Rapid (9) and GAK (9) are one loss away. At the other end, Admira (0) has lost all four, and Mattersburg (1) isn't doing much better. Third from last is the big-spending Salzburg (3)--certainly a disappointment so far.

    Runde 5

    Sa, 06.08.2005,19:30 Uhr
    SK Rapid Wien 3 : 1 (1: 1) FK Austria Magna
    FC Wacker Tirol 2 : 2 (1: 2) FC Superfund
    SV Josko Fenster Ried 2 : 1 (0: 0) Liebherr GAK
    Nordea Admira 1 : 2 (0: 1) SV Mattersburg

    So, 07.08.2005,19:30 Uhr
    SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz 0 : 0 (0: 0) Red Bull Salzburg

Rapid catches Austria in the standings with their home win as the Viennese teams share the lead. Sturm catches GAK as the Grazer teams share third.

At the other end, Admira keeps their pointless streak intact.

I am surprised at those numbers. I would have thought there was more money in Swiss football overall, but I guess not. How come Basel can afford such an expensive team? Do they have a sugar daddy like Austria and Salzburg?

GAK is now tied with Rapid, three points behind Austria. After a good start, Sturm has faltered a bit lately.
