Given that Australia has yet to PLAY in an Asian Cup, I guess you are right Einstein -- they have done nothing.

Whoa dude, that wasn't necessary, mods, ban this little ass. Especially when it's coming from a non-Asian.

I've been told in some Aussie board that not only Women but the whole Australian football is just a Joke:confused:

The match will certainly be showed in CCTV5 but from what I heard There will be no Live broadcast in Australia,

and this edtion of women Asian Cup has the lowest attendance in the recently edtions~ Can't emagine it happens in a Sports Crazy and one of the World Sports Giant Country!

Women's sport really does get shafted in Australia. Even the biggest women's sports (netball, basketball, hockey) really struggle for attendence and support.

Ummm... it's a little bit like basketball, except you can't bounce/move with the ball, players in various positions are limited to moving in certain parts of the court, and the nets have no backboards. Goals are worth 1 point, no multiple scoring. Played with a ball a bit like a volleyball.

It's played almost exclusively by women, mainly in Commonwealth countries. Very popular junior game for girls, sort of the female equivalent of soccer for males.

Australia some how has managed to become the number one team ( according to the Australians ) without playing one important game in the AFC , they must be really good

    NRF,

Poor bugger doesn't know if he's Arthur or Martha. Have a gander at his BS public profile and you'll see that he must be stateless and certainly doesn't have the balls to own up to supporting any team(s). :D

Take it with a pinch of salt there are a number of Aussies mouthing off in here since the world cup. Pity we are all getting judged in one basket for it.... The rankings are a load of shite!

Men haven't yet proven themselves in Asia and China will be a tough side to beat for the Matildas.

I can say it is looking pretty good though. The big test will be to hold things together without Guus.

Australia owning the rest of Asia once again.

Australia 2-0 China at halftime of the Womens Asian Cup 2007! :D

29' GOAL - AUSTRALIA! an absolutely stunning strike from all of 30 metres from Caitlin Munoz strikes the underside of the cross bar and bounces into the goalmouth - a real cracker!!

33' GOAL - AUSTRALIA! following Shipard's attempt and resultant corner, Joanne Peters gets her head to the ball from close range to double Australia's lead

    half-time: Australia 2 China 0

Still another half to go but things are looking good!
