Yep i am extremely happy we joined Asia

Now we are forced to make changes in Australia

we are forced now to play possession football like we did in the World Cup which was fantastic, but we are forced now as well to develop good technical players... which is something In my opinion we severely lack... we just dont have players that have the balls to take the opposition on

an all a-league team has only been used once by australia, and that was against kuwait. 2-0 australia won easily.

I don't see any specific reason for Australia joining Asia because they could have joined UEFA or COMMEBOL or CONCACAF!
Asian football is absolutely far behind!
They should have joined in South America or even Africa to play more competitive football.
Joining AFC is totally a nonesense.

That surely must not have been easy.

Tonga: Well, here we go again.
American Samoa: So, Australia wins this year too?
New Zealand: We are supposed to be Australia's rival. Oh, who are we kidding.
Vanuatu: Don't mind us. We are just playing for the heck of it.
Fiji: It's over now. Let's go home.

Australia: Ha! That was easy. Who's next? ... Oh dear.

Uruguay: Damn it! Losing to Brazil and Argentine are OK. But to Paraguay and
Ecuador? We are pissed off now! Whose butt do we need to kick to get back
    into World Cup?

Nope. Not an easy way at all.

Theirs only 1 benefit Aussys be in Asia.

Korea needs practiced beat up on C level Europe style team, so we can keep our practice of being only one in Asia spank teams like Italy, Spain, Germany, etc etc

    Whatever.
OFC got 0.5 berth while Asia got 4.5 berth. It is obvious that Australia joined AFC since AFC got more World Cup berth than OFC. Instead of having 0.5 berth and face South American team in World Cup Qualifier play-off it would be much easier to get one straight berth from Asia. That's what made Australia joined AFC. They joined AFC in order to steal a berth from Asia.

Nah, we joined to play Asian Cup and Asian Champions League. World Cups are only every 4 years. We need something to keep football on the sports pages of the newspapers more often than that.

My ass! Why Australia did not join UEFA or COMMEBOL?
You know well that Asian football is totally crap.
It was much better for Australia join UEFA or COMMEBOL. They play highly competitive football over there.

IF FIFA GIVES ONE STRAIGHT BERTH TO OFC, THEN AUSTRALIA WILL RUSH GOING BACK TO AUSTRALIA.

They do play better football there but if you want to know why Australia didn't seek to join those regions then just look at a world globe. If that doesn't give you a clue then look up any international airlines website and check flight times between Australia and those places.

Get a clue! If you want more competitive football, why not Australia go to UEFA or COMMEBOL?
Or Ask FIFA give OFC one straight World Cup berth.

You know well that Asian football is really useless. There is no difference between AFC and OFC in level of football. You could have gone to UEFA because there are 14.5 berths.

Like I said, Australia will benefit more if join UEFA or COMMEBOL.
There is no need to be a part of AFC since you will never learn good football.
Trust me, one day you will be disgusted with AFC!
Go to UEFA or COMMEBOL or even CAF! They play awesome football there.

Australia begged FIFA for 1 berth rather than 0.5 berth, however FIFA rejected it.
Since Australia is reluctant to face South American teams such as Uruguay or Paraguay or Ecuador in play-off, they joined AFC in order to steal a berth from Asia.
As you know AFC has too little berth as well. 45 Asian countries have to fight for 4.5! And now they have to fight for 3.5 since Australia(the thieves) joined AFC.

I'm glad you think so much of us, but the recent Asian Cup has showed we will be fighting for one of the 4.5 just as much as any other team. We are a long way from having a spot wrapped up. I would expect our qualifying strike rate to improve from once every 32 years, but I would be happy with every secoond cup.
