I finally gave in and made the thread. Isn't it pathetic that a lot of us aren't even looking forward to games? What is there to talk about? Is there any conceivable way to make the team play well?
Re: Aug 4 Colorado @ FC Gonna kick the rapids' dallass Chili and I are going.. hopefully they can pull out a win for us!!!
Re: Aug 4 Colorado @ FC Gonna kick the rapids' dallass Well seeing how this game isn't until next week I think a thread is rather pointless untill the week following up to the game. We can spend our usless selves browsing the internet for some Superliga action, or spending half our lives on myspace, hey maybe even get out of the house tonite seeing how this 'GREAT' site will be off line for some mass overhaul or somthin--------->Hopefully BIG BROTHER isn't taking over ...
Re: Aug 4 Colorado @ FC Gonna kick the rapids' dallass The Simpson's movie opens today. You could go see that while BigSoccer is down.
Re: Aug 4 Colorado @ FC Gonna kick the rapids' dallass SPIDER PIG SPIDER PIG-DOES WHATEVER A SPIDER PIG DOES....
The only think to say about the Rapids as of late is: 1. They are listless. 2. They have NO heart, no desire to win. 3. They act defeted. 4. They bore me to tears. 5. Their organization could care less about their own bread and butter (the season ticket holders). 6. Their owner is more interested in P#$$ing off the North London fans by spending 100s of millions of dollars on a hostile takeover of their beloved team than spending a dime on upgrading the Rapids. 7. What was KSE thinking when he purchased this team from Anchutz???? Did big Phil use one of those date drugs to seal the deal?????? This team sucks. This organization suck. This owner sucks. On a more positive note. It will take a miracle of enormous proportions for the Rapids to win next week in Dallas. Ya never know.... Miracles do happen.
In keeping with the new tradition (one I like), I was hoping the thread would be started as the Rapids vs. the Cowboys.
I'm feeling pretty anti-Clavijo and rather hopeless when it comes to the Rapids but I'm going to put that aside and say KICK THEIR ********ING ASSES BOYS!!!! I'd love to see Herc put 2 past them and pull up his jersey to reveal a t-shirt that says "Where's your ********ing roof you god damn red necks?!??!!!"!!!!!!!!!!
That it gave them a way to get a local community to help with the funding for a new concert venue in the Denver are that they would control.
Chili and I are leaving Friday morning... Any last minutes spontaneous people wannna come with us? It'll be a GREAT TIME. We keep being shown up by other traveling fans. Dallas, i think, brought like 30. Come on people. we gotta steo up our game. GO RAPIDS!
Match up has taken note of Mehdi's absence, replacing him with Clark. Looks like it's the same 3-5-2 as against K.C. except for Clark replacing Mehdi. Hopefully FCD has reached their goal quota for the week and we can eek out a 0-0 draw.
For the match against FCD, I would like to see a flat four in the back. .............. Bouna .......... Prideaux ... Pablo ..... Ugo ... Erpen ..... Cooke ... Cancela ... Jovan .... Clark ......... Herc & Nico ........
Interesting other note from the match-up page: Petke is doubtful, not with an ankle injury, but a quad strain. You can't strain your quad if you can't run, so either the page editor made a mistake or Petke's healed from the DC game, which is good news.
I saw Petke working out at a practice right a couple of days before the ASG. After the practice I remember him having ice wrapped onto his quad, and then he went off on the golf cart to get some treatment.
Unfortunately, it's a pretty typical problem to favor an injured part, (Petke's ankle), and end up straining some other part that you start using in a different way than normal. Let's hope it is minor.
After watching the Galaxy-FCD Super Liga game, I am little more optimistic that we may actually score.
There were 5 "extra" minutes if you (incorrectly) call stopage, added, or injury time "Extra Time" (like Altutude does). Real extra time in soccer is overtime and isn't used in regular season games, only when a winner must be determined for knock-out or final placing in a competition. (But don't tell Altitude so I can keep on whinging at my television.) Also, scouting Dallas: Watch. That. Mulleted. Colombian. And Ruiz hasn't forgotten ANY of his initiate-contact-dive-and-get-the-foul skills, but he does seem to be slipping a bit otherwise. Please make a note of it.
