and the next 02-03 CB plays pro the list keeps growing too.

    Pool looking like
    -1BL=Dardai, Schmidt
    -1BL Working Way=Boboy, Rosenfelder

-1st Abroad=Oermann (Austrian 1st loan from 1BL, has few XI in 1BL), Atemona (Belgian 1st)

-2BL=Mbi (loan from 1BL), Lawrence (loan until 2024 from 1BL), Beifus, Reidel (club are 1BL promotion candidates), Fofana (loan until 2024)
-2BL Working Way=Vukancic (debut only), Kleine-Bekel (pro contract that kicks in Summer), Breunig (pro contract+pro debut), Dietze (pro contract+pro debut), Siebert (3rd Liga loan from 2BL, shall return in Summer), Irorere (has a few pro caps but neverending injuries have made him lose relevance for now), Fobassam (brokethrough but attitude issues got him dumped to II. So now has to work his way back), Luhrs (pro contract and seems super close to breakingthrough)

I'm ignoring all 3rd Liga-RL, some are interesting from there though. But its becoming clear who are likely options for next U21 cycle.

looks like 01 RB Borges is no longer clubless as now with Kiel II.

shame how he's so injury prone and has had struggles at pro adaptation.

-2BL FD boss confirms that they are firmly planning with 02 CB Siebert (on 3rd Liga loan)
    https://www.liga-zwei.de/fortuna-duesseldorf-jamil-siebert-fuer-die-zukunft-fest-eingeplant/

-1BL Bremen coach Werner praises 05 W Opitz
. "Leon is a young guy who has been with us in training for the last few weeks," says Werder coach Ole Werner about the left winger (six goals, six assists) - and adds: "He made a good impression and was the most striking of the boys who were there from the U19. That's why he deserves to be there."

-Gladbach look to have confirmed that they plan firmly with 03 LB Netz for XI in future.
    https://www.ligainsider.de/luca-net...nt-mit-luca-netz-als-linksverteidiger-335203/

-on 2BL HR GKs they seem to have 3 young GKs they like/rate in 03 GK Hagemoser, 04 GK Hoftmann and 06 GK Maurer

naw its smart, why go to a big club and play U19 to last second followed by RL.....when you can just jump to 3rd Liga early.....Also Saarbrucken are 2BL promotion candidates.

in general a lot of 2BL-3rd Liga Academy players are the stupid ones for joining 1BL Academies as if they would integrate them early.

Bella-Kotchap, Vagnoman (1st call up), F.Nmecha (1st call up), Schade (1st call up) have all gotten Senior NT call ups, congrats!!! This is most important thing for this thread.

also Wirtz/Musiala are 2025 U21 eligible and Adeyemi/Moukoko are out for now.

I'm curious to see if any surprise names for U21 given these 4 are out+no Moukoko+no Burkardt+no Thielmann.

1st call ups for Matriciani and Ngankam. Well deserved for both.
Last paragraph highlights that Schade, Nmecha, Vagnoman and Bella-Kotchap to play U21 Euro.

Di Salvo: "Optimize our game and our processes"
"Now we're making big strides towards the European Championship," says Di Salvo. "We want to use the two friendlies to optimize our game and our processes for the tournament, although we are missing a few regular players due to injuries and nominations for the national team. This gives other boys the chance to show themselves again before the European Championship "For once, we're facing an Asian opponent in Japan. You could see at the World Cup what great footballing potential they have. In Romania we're going to face a team that has already impressed at the last two European Championships."

The U21 coach adds: "We've been in constant contact with the players that Hansi has now nominated for the national team over the past few days. It's a great honor for the boys to arrive at the highest possible level. That's where they're challenged and can gain important experience that they can then bring to the European Championship."

will say that Tillman+Samardzic poaching and then followed by no Burkardt/Moukoko/Thielmann does make our attack weaker tbh.

weird how Lemperle is nowhere neither U21, nor U20 nor U20 on call on. I hope he can pick it up for rest of season to be an option for Summer.

Moukoko & Thielmann should hopefully both be fine for the summer though, which is the most important thing. How long is Burkardt out for? He should be fit in time to think?

I believe Moukoko-Thielmann should be back this month. Back already have pics in training but too late for U21.

but Burkardt is more sketchy, Bo made it sound like he might or might not come back in time for last matches of season....

and next LB to breakthrough pros goes to

2BL FCN, 03 LB Brown with his 1st ever pro XI and back to back caps.

I'm curious to see how LBs gonna go next U21 cycle.
We have Ba, Rothe, Ullrich, Zenhter, Reichardt making progress or close to breakingthrough 1BL from 04s. Already 3/5 with caps with 1st teams too.

    then from 02-03s
    -1BL=Netz
-1BL Working Way=Dietrich (has been constant matchday squad at Bremen this year of 2023 but yet to debut)
-2BL=John (on loan from 1BL), Calhanoglu (on loan from 1BL), Brown
    -1st Abroad=Herold (on loan from 1BL)
-2BL Working Way=Andresen (has debut but currently injured), Ruschke (has made debut),
-3rd Liga=Di Michele Sanchez (on loan to Dutch 2nd from 1BL but has been injured for awhile), May (brokethrough XI last season, how long until he goes upwards???)

    Rest in RL-5th division.

so far Netz, John, Calhanoglu, Brown, Herold=5/5 with XIs too.

A lot of options looking to emerge.
Netz might not play next U21 cycle he's looking like Gladbach 1st choice 100% next season, wants to play Euro 2024 with Senior NT and was in WC22 prelimanery squad too.

Freiburg II look like having a chance of becoming only the second II ever to win the 3.Liga title after Bayern in 19/20. That would be some achievement. In any case top 2 looks almost guaranteed on current form.

its more impressive since Freiburg is NOT seen as a top club. No Schade, no Weisshaupt, no Atubolu, no Rohl, no Schmidt=no problem they still win every game, LMAO.

-Bayern II=no we can't allow anyone in 1BL with 1st they need to play 3rd Liga. Constantly not wanting or taking anyone for relegation fight etc.
-Dortmund II=screw youth or Academy just play older irrelevant players with 0 1st prospects

-Freiburg II=YOUTH YOUTH YOUTH, 1st team spots for youth no problem II is covered well.

Last season, Freiburg II was effective as they barely allowed any goals and scored enough to win. Now they are doing both, scoring a lot and not allowing much. It will bode well for a lot of them in terms of jumping to 1BL Freiburg or get picked up by other 1BL (recently for odd reason more and more 1BL seem to be scouting 3rd Liga more than evr) or 2BL-1st Abroad.

    Meanwhile
02 AM/W Nebel (on loan) continues his fine form in 2BL with assist for 2-0. I really hope continues his form so that come next season=back to 1BL.

Freiburg coach Streich praises 02 CB Schmidt on his pro debut
"He hasn't played in a professional game for us yet," explained Christian Streich at the press conference after the 2-0 defeat. "But it's not a difficult moment," said the experienced head coach, "we were 0-1 down with ten against eleven players. It wasn't that much pressure for him."

Schmidt's focus must first be on establishing himself in the core business. “The difficult moment is in a Bundesliga game. Now we were the little ones against the big ones.” Nevertheless, it was a nice moment for the young professional. "He did great."

Streich has no doubts that Schmidt can develop into a Bundesliga player. "I knew: He comes on the pitch and plays well - one hundred percent," assured the coach and added: "He can develop."

05 W Opitz makes 1BL/pro bench debut. Shame that efforts to land 05 Chiarodia making his 1BL XI debut back in U15-U16 failed as from day 1 he prefered Italy.

05 AM/W Maza plays his 1st ever RL/Adult XI for Hertha II today.

more impressive was that he was playing for a 10 men team for entire 2nd half, that's never easy even less for debut.

Streich seems intent on dev/integrating him...........sounds like our 2nd 02-03 CB to breakthrough 1BL after Dardai!!!

2BL (besides Nebel assist posted above)
    -03 LB Brown's 1st XI was 88 min in end in 2-2 D.
-02 CF Shuranov scored his 1st of season, PK in dying mins for important 2-2 D. I'm just glad he's getting confidence boost.
    https://streamja.com/jm4V4

-00 M K.Sessa scores his 3rd of season in 5-2 W for Heidenheim who continue to be 1BL promotion candidates.
    https://streamja.com/7nyOr

-01 M/W Kother looks to have played his 1st game of season for Heidenheim as 5 min sub. Believe he's been injured for majority of season.

    3rd Liga
-02 CF Hartwig (on Austrian 2nd loan) scored his 9th of season in 2-0 W as his club continues in 1st place.

    RL
-05 AM Komur (has pro contract with 1BL Augsburg) scored his 1st ever adult goal in his 2nd RL cap in 3-1 W for Augsburg II

What Current 02-03 aka next U21 cycle looking like the season BEFORE their U21 cycle begins. Doesn't look too bad tbh outside of RB and yes yes, typical German youth=HUGE CHUNK of pool is flexible, not gonna list every fricking position for every fricking player, LMAO.

    Pros 1BL-2BL-1st Abroad
-GK=Atubolu (future #1 in 1BL, with 3 XIs+#1 in 3rd Liga), Schreiber (2BL loan until 2024 from 1BL, #1), Urbig (2BL loan until 2024 from 1BL, #1), Ernst (1BL bench), Schulz (2BL bench), Gorka (2BL bench), Krumrey (Austrian 2nd, #1, can't play there forever. Next season would be his 3rd season there....already too much. He does have a Salzburg pro contract too), Gebhardt (3rd Liga loan from Swiss 1st, #1)
    -LB=Netz (1BL), John (2BL loan from 1BL), Calhanoglu (2BL loan from 1BL), Brown (2BL), Herold (Austrian 1st loan from 1BL)
    -CB=Dardai (1BL), Oermann (Austrian 1st loan from 1BL), Atemona (Belgian 1st), Mbi (2BL loan from 1BL), Lawrence (2BL loan from 1BL until 2024), Beifus (2BL), Reidel (2BL), Fofana (2BL loan from 1BL until 2024), Schmidt (1BL)
    -RB=NONE (LMAO)
-M=Martel (1BL), Salifou (1BL), Rohl (1BL), Wagner (1BL), Rhein (Austrian 1st loan from 1BL), Breithaupt (2BL but going to 1BL in Summer), Castrop (2BL loan from 1BL), Sterner (2BL), Consbruch (2BL), Reitz (Belgian 1st loan from 1BL), Kerber (3rd Liga but all indication gonna go upwards in Summer)
    -AM/W=Thielmann (1BL), Lemperle (1BL), Egloff (1BL), Knauff (1BL), Scott (Belgian 1st), Kehrer (Belgian 1st), Nebel (2BL loan from 1BL), Obuz (2BL loan), Ibrahimi (2BL loan from 1BL), Sieb (2BL), Rossmann (2BL), Gunther (2BL loan from 1BL), Momuluh (2BL)
    -CF=Asllani (1BL), Kastanaras (1BL), Scherhant (1BL), Nischalke (2BL), Beier (2BL loan from 1BL), Shuranov (2BL)

Making Progress/Trying To in 1BL-2BL-1st Abroad-Loanees, pretty decent chunk of outfield players have min pro debut. Underlined players have pro debuts at min in 1BL-2BL-1st Abroad. And then I think almost every player left has at min made pro bench debut for pros, even all the GKs listed too.
-GK=Schenk (Bayern II), Noll (Hoff II), Kruth (2BL #3), Hagemoser (2BL #3), Kokelsum (2BL #3), Schulze (Wolfsburg, needs to GTFO), Dumrath (Swiss 1st #3)
-LB=Andresen (2BL), Di Michele Sanchez (Dutch 2nd loan from 1BL, injury issues), Ruschke (2BL), Dietrich (1BL)
-CB=Vukancic (2BL), Rosenfelder (1BL), Boboy (1BL), Kleine-Bekel (2BL), Breunig (2BL), Dietze (2BL), Fobassam (2BL, brokethrough but attitude issues got him dumped to II), Luhrs (2BL), Irorere (2BL), Siebert (3rd Liga loan from 2BL)
-RB=Sponsel (3rd Liga loan from 1BL, injury issues), Hoppe (1BL), Semic (3rd Liga, pro contract with 1BL but not looking great.), Allgaier (RL loan from 2BL), Hofmann (2BL)
    -M=Munst (Swiss 1st loan from 1BL), Meyer (1BL, always injured), Uhlmann (2BL), Littbarski (2BL), Dietz (2BL), Koster (2BL), Angleberger (2BL), Basenach (2BL), Arslan (2BL), Roggow (2BL), Jessen (2BL), Shabani (1BL), Civeja (3rd Liga loan from 1BL), Berg (Austrian 1st)
-AM/W=Sane (1BL), Bobzien (3rd Liga loan from 1BL), Nankishi (Dutch 2nd loan from 1BL, promotion candidates), Wehmeyer (Dutch 2nd, promotion candidates), Sesay (RL loan from 2BL), Croswaithe (RL loan from 2BL), Blum (2BL), Baah (2BL loan from Championship, injured), El Zein (2BL), Schmidt (2BL), Stavridis (2BL), Amyn (Eredivisie), Ennali (3rd Liga loan from 2BL), Kalem (Swiss 2nd loan from Swiss 1st)
-CF=Woltemade (3rd Liga loan from 1BL), Winkler (3rd Liga loan from 1BL), Wollschlager (3rd Liga loan from 1BL), Hartwig (Austrian 2nd loan from 1BL), Borkowski (3rd Liga loan from 1BL), Schmid (1BL)

3rd Liga-RL-5th division=Everyone Else. I won't list them as who knows if they stay next season in 3rd Liga-RL or if some RL ones who are pro potential end up in 3rd Liga. What matters next season is that 1BL-2BL-1st Abroad contenders. I gather for quick example that 03 RB Bruckner of Bayern II is likely gonna be 2BL-1st Abroad next season. But not gonna list until they are confirmed.

I also don't want to make a poached list as based on quick head count. Its already in that over 50 range players who have been poached by other FAs.

the interesting question is basically given how many 04-05s seem to be breakingthrough 1BL-2BL is how many of those will play U21? I think there might good chance be temptation for X number of them in Fall. More breakthrough more tempting it would be to call them up. Although 2005 born play U19 next season so dfb might not be keen on upping too much in 2023-2024 season but 2024-2025 season is fair game. 04s would be completly open for next season as they'd be in U20 which is nothing but friendlies. This gives all 04-05s rest of this season and next one to make career progress.

funny thing about RB is I do think 02-03 RBs have potential the only issue is that covid delayed their dev with axing of U19+60% of RL and they all basically wasted a year.

    Then you have issue like
Sponsel=injury proness, Kraft=+ drug test (recreational drug not enhancements), Mhamdi/Aydin=poached, how long until Kostka is also poached???

even Rosenboom in RL but a 1BL Bremen 1st prospect has had too many injury issues this season. Sucks because he wasn't far off from making bench at one point too.

Semic who has potential is getting wasted to max at Dortmund II.

that's main issue but then question becomes how many can jump to 1BL-2BL-1st Abroad come Summer???

as I said I think Bruckner who should have bailed from Bayern II in Summer should be 1. Will Bremen loan out Rosenboom? Will Kraft get 2nd chance at Mainz since he was 1st prospect? Will Allgeier go 3rd Liga with his club Ulm who are 3rd Liga promotion candidates or return to 2BL? Will Hoppe breakthrough Stuttgart? Sponsel injury is killing any chances of going to 2BL-1st Abroad too. List goes on and on.

    1BL
-03 W Sane back in 1BL matchday squad for Schalke. Made debut in last match before WC.
-05 CB Klemens also back in 1BL matchday squad, his 2nd time for Hertha
-04 CF Downs makes his 2nd bench in month of March for Koln. Will he make debut vs Dortmund today??? Really is looking like the 04 CFs who have 1BL prospects EARLY (key word) are Downs and Topp.
-00 M Osterhage, 01 M Stiller, 00 RB Fischer, 1st 2/3=re-breakingthrough XI and last one=breakingthrough XI. Fischer looks like he's benched Baku and made himself 1st choice RB at Wolfsburg. While Stiller looking like new coach of Matarazzo rates him better than previous coaches and back to back XI. Let's hope he stays in XI. Funny how Stiller and Osterhage back in XI=their clubs doing better in results too. With Osterhage in XI for past 3 back to back they've been going on winning run, winning last 2 including 1-0 W vs Plastic today, LOL take the L Plastic.
-new Hoff coach also seems to rate 00 M Becker who continues to pick up 1BL caps, his 5th cap. Last week 1st ever 1BL XI and this week 15 min sub. Has been used in 3 back to back matches by coach and coach who used him the most this season. Would be funny if he breaksthrough 1BL for realz post U21, LOL. That's also reality as I keep saying you finish U21 at 22-23=even age and 21-22 for odd age birth.....but no player reaches his prime at 21-23. So a LOT of players will make top 4 leagues post U21, its just reality.
-in not so great, 00 CB Bauer (HT sub OUT to injury) and 02 CB Dardai (failed to make squad as injury....what is it with Dardai and never being able to play regularly due to constant fit, out, fit, out. Been an issue since he brokethrough 1BL). Both are U21 call ups, will they retract from U21??? If they do, then I think David, Siersleben, Jakel, Mai need to be candidates. If 2 CBs retract than you need 2 CBs to replace them.
-An Article on rise of 02 CB Schmidt of Freiburg
    https://www.kicker.de/schmidts-debuet-auf-groesstmoeglicher-buehne-942795/artikel

    2BL
-03 GK Urbig (on loan) keeps a clean sheet in 1-0 W and back to back Ws for struggling Jahn.
-00 M/W Petkov (on Winter loan) scored his 1st ever non-3rd Liga goal in 3-0 W, back to back XIs.
    https://streamja.com/VbL2q
-02 M Dietz made his 2BL/pro debut for Furth as a 5 min sub.
-05 M Raebiger played his 2nd 2BL cap today as 5 min sub. Really hope he can breakthrough XI at some point this season and then next season be XI all season.
-back to back XI for 00 AM Nadj at Paderborn.
-03 M Krahn is back!!!! Has been injured for majority of season. That he jumps back to 1st team instead of II kinda highlights that Walter is high on him. Shame that if it wasn't for injuries would have long brokenthrough for realz. He has already debuted last season.

    3rd Liga
-03 M Wagner had an assist in 1-1 for Freiburg II
-04 M Worl had an assist in 3-1 W for 1860. He's 2nd 04 to be fixed XI at 1860 along with 04 CB Morgalla
-02 M Kerber had an assist in 3-0 W for Saarbrucken.
-05 M Breuer back to back caps (1st was pro debut) and today 7 min sub
-03 CF Hettwer continues his form with a goal (4th of season) and assist in 3-3 D
-05 M Elouarti made his 3rd Liga/pro debut for Wehen. While 05 M Jaadar and 04 CB Jaromin made their pro bench debuts. Seems like these 3 are players Wehen are high on. A lot of these 3rd Liga clubs, Academy=not much info so who is rated or not=who knows.
-For 00-01, 01 AM/W Bakir scored his 2nd of season for 10 men in 3-3 D, back to back matches and return from injury. 00 CF Besong (on loan) scored his 3rd of season in 3-1 L.

    RL
-05 M Aseko had his 1st XI today for Bayern II in 0-0 D, its his 3rd RL cap. Now we need 05 CB Buchmann to be upped to II and for 04 CF Copado to return from injury!!!
-03 CF Schmidt scored his 5th of season and 1-0 W for Mainz II
-03 CF Nischalke bagged a brace and 11th of season in 3-1 W for FCN II
-03 CF Schmid scored his 11th goal of season and 3-2 W for Koln II
-03 CF Kastanaras scored his 2nd of season in 2-1 L for Stuttgart II
-02 W Schroers scored his 1st of season in 4-3 W for Gladbach II. Has not been his season, then again why is he playing his 3rd RL season anyways???? Good way for one to regress. Not only that but went from 2/2 seasons being XI to this season mostly on bench has been playing more XI in past couple of weeks. Gladbach II is screwing almost all younger players just to shove in the older players they brought in Summer. Continues to show how bad of a club for youth Gladbach is.
-02 W Velasco scored his 6th of season in 2-2 D for HSV II. I believe gonna end up free transfer in Summer.
-03 W Mata scored his 8th of season in 3-2 L. Gonna end up higher come Summer, has 2023 contract and would be stupid to stay in RL.

    some added RL
-02 RB Rosenboom made his return from injury as a 70 min sub for 10 men Bremen II.
-05 RB Walde made his RL/XI/adult debut, 3 in 1 for Gladbach II in that 3-2 W.

04 LB Rothe played 13 mins for Dortmund has they trashed Koln 6-1.
his 2nd 1BL cap of season, 5th in all competition this season and 7th career. So far has 2 XIs and looking for 3rd.

seems after Moukoko he's next youth they looking to integrate.

have to laugh with all the Coulibaly hype, its always Papa who is ahead with 1st team, LMAO. And then Kamara seems to be nowhere 1st team. Aning also nowhere near the 1st team and Braaf who couldn't get off II bench left in Winter. So much for all of that.....

some of these age groups have too many CFs of same duality, LOL.
    German-Italian CFs
    -04=Tresoldi, Marino
    -05=Torsiello, Mazzone

from DFB, Tresoldi, Marino, Torsiello have all been called up this season, LOL, that's 3/4 too.

    German-American CFs
    -04=Downs, Sanogo, Ouro-Tagba, Imasuen, Hendricks

Downs and Sanogo seem to be knocking door on 1BL debuts. Although Union Berlin is looking like worst 1BL club for Academy players, so that never helps Sanogo to breakthrough. Ouro-Tagba is a 1st prospect at 3rd Liga 1860 too. And these 3 have gotten involved in DFB camps.

said this before but just past year, dfb has tried out like fast approaching 20 04 CFs, LMAO. They legit can't seem to figure out who are the best ones.

Stuttgart youth boss looks like he's high on their 2005 crop+04-Paula by name. Also said that the club wants to have youth breakthrough squad and XI and that he does see that happening in future. Also that they believe potential for a Young Wild too.

So this pushes the Stuttgart youth as like
    02-Egloff, Meyer (sadly ALWAYS injured)
    03-Kastanaras, Hoppe (has made bench)
04-Paula (only recently back from Summer injury), Reichardt (seems to be frequently training with 1st team and has made bench)
05-Seimen, Fritschi, di Benedetto, Azevedo, Ulrich

    Question Marks
-00=Bazzoli (has made bench bunch of times but has no prospects needs to bail)
-01=Aidonis (bailing in Summer to 2BL-1st Abroad), Wolf (needs to bail), Ganaus (needs to bail), Schock (needs to bail)
-02=Munst (his loan not going well and still hasn't played with his Swiss 1st club this season), Kudala (2023 contract, time to move on in Summer)
-03=Laupheimer (has 1st prospect confirmed but questionable that will get chances due to 2 05 Ms listed above), Boziaris, Drakas
-04=Winkler (interesting player but for now next season=II and from there its wait and see on more), Widmann (2023 contract was promising prior to injury, has to show his previous potential), Wagner (2023 contract but promising)
-05=Reinhardt (dfb seems high on him), Kuranyi, Boakye
