Rhein playing well in all preseason matches but always handicapped by Cuisance.

we also saw his aggressive side today too.

whole playing youth XI in 2nd half that most 1BL clubs do=dumb shit.

when a player gets 1BL XI chance or sub chance it won't be with a youth XI but with a pro XI........so why bother doing it..

It's almost like clubs want to throw youth at wall and see what sticks or just want them to fail.

Frankfurt only have 3 youth in 1st left, 01 GK Ramaj, 02 CB Otto and 02 CB Irorere. Based on test matches Ramaj got a lot of playing time due to Trapp not there but it's Otto that's playing a LOT.

on 02 CB Otto, would be nice to see an Academy success at that shitty club.
-"Looks incredibly serene for his age on each of his assignments. I hope Glaser will give him the chance in the Buli one day. At least I don't have a headache seeing it as an IV backup."
    -Fynn Otto HYPE
-Fynn Otto is already physically very advanced, you think you plan him in as a backup
-I'm really looking forward to Fynn Otto. That should really benefit from Glasner
    -Fynn Otto boy. Remember him

just saw vid of 3 Ligue 1 St Etienne players pressing on Otto and he uses his body to shrug off one and nutmegs another to pass ball to teammate and get out of that jam on sidelines near his box.

not even posting all preseason stuff....eh, DFB cup starts next Friday anyways. So things now don't matter as much. Also long season too.

01 W Leweling of 1BL Furth, scoring in 3-2 loss to Fenerbahce, very nice solo goal, dribbling by 2 players and beating GK.

promising W, some think more suited for 1BL than 2BL. Ghana wanted call him to Senior NT but rejected to play dfb.

    for U21,
00 CF Ngankam (on loan and currently injured), 00 CB Bauer, 00 CF/W Kehr, 01 RB Asta, 01 W Leweling play at 1BL Furth.

00 RB Kratzer (3rd choice RB), 02 AM Torlak are others close to 1st but likely II.

I do think chances for II to 1st not impossible depending on injuries etc.

    01 W Weisshaupt getting praise
-Weißhaupt, who has qualities that young footballers in Germany nowadays have less and less (strength in 1gg1, dribbling, brave forward). Will get minutes with the pros After that come mmn. Ezekwem and Schade who already show extremely good systems and should commute between 1st and 3rd league.

-Weisshaupt is incredibly good with the first contact and the first meters and movements, with both feet. A feast for the eyes. If he were an external transfer, everyone would say: a talent that has to play again and again. Soon he will also be a U21 national player and will be even more of a focus.

-Definitely fun to watch. Stupidly said, you have to show him the perspective. In the regional league he was of course a bit too defensive on the left in front of the 3-man chain. But you have to play it like that in the 4th division. In the first team, I actually see him more offensive. To "burden" him with defensive tasks is actually given away.As the football romance would have it, we are lucky enough to welcome him as the son of Marco Weißhaupt. A jersey with its flock is pure romance

Agree and disagree with 1st post. GOOD CHUNK of younger attackers look to have dribbling skills. More accurate if your looking at older.....

Today Freiburg had 2 friendlies vs Ligue 1 Strasbourg
    Game 1 XI, 2-1 L: 00 M Keitel (scored),
Game 2 XI 2-1 W: 02 GK Atubolu (that's where he was), 03 CB Rosenfelder (same as Atubolu), 01 W Weisshaupt,

    Subs for 2nd 01 LB Engel (1st debut), 01 CF Schade, 02 W Bazdrigiannis (1st debut)

Ezekwem likely unft, not in II nor in 1st.

I do think 00-01 more promising that 98-99 but end of day 98-01 all get shat on but 98-99 won U21 Euros, lulz.

just think how many AM/W played 1BL from 98-99 when U21 cyclce started? And how many played 1BL when U21 cycle ended

    Answer: 0

1-Hack and Maina both have 1BL experience. Maina for playing with relegated H96 and Hack for breakingthrough Hoff but both always injured. And clubs wanted them from 1BL but their 2BL clubs sabotaged deals. Now both still in 2BL.

2-Fuhrich played his 1st pro season in 2020-2021 season in 2BL and in Summer 2021 transferred to 1BL aka post U21.

3-Goller has past 1BL experience but got 2BL loan than Bremen got relegated.

4-Not only that in year 1 of U21 cycle wasn't that many AM/W options from 98-99......even in 2BL.

majortity of 98-99 still in 2BL (Eredivisie/Austria Bundesliga)-3rd Liga level, maybe some could still go upwards in future time will tell.

Now if you look at 00-01 AM/W (ignoring like 8ish poached). Not helped by covid.
-1BL/EPL: Massimo, Klimowicz, Khadra, Weisshaupt, Leweling, Michelbrink

Mchelbrink has 2 1BL caps from last season and has done entire preseason with Hertha. Also scored yesterday in 3-2 win. Kid got a lot of praise by Dardai and Friedrich last season. Stll has to work on physicality but has good technique and dribbling.

Khadra has posted above looks close with EPL Brighton and coach praised him too.

-Eredivisie/Austria Bundesliga/Belgium: Heil (loan from 2BL), Yeboah, Maciejewski (loan from 1BL until 2021. Has 1 1BL cap and today made Austrian Bundesliga debut as sub for 9 men, LOL), Batzner

-2BL: Kother, Bilbija, Sussek (currently injured but club extended anyways), Appelkamp (already linked with 1BL but 2022 more likely), Arslan (could still go on loan, 03 AM Sesay ahead of him), Hartmann (loan until 2023 from 1BL aka any upwards move=post U21 in Summer 2023. That's following over a year injured), Stehle (might go to 3rd Liga loan), Lounbongo (covid killed II, need match practice in II after not playing 1 year), Schonfelder (between injury+covid killing II last season, he has to get match practice in II 1st), Kuhn (on loan from 1BL, always slowed down by injuries looks set to miss matchday 2 after XI in matchday 1).

    today 00 W Bilbija scored in 2BL and assist from 02 M Rohl, that's Ingolstadt's 1st goal in 2BL this season.

    Unknown: OBM, Abouchabaka, Dajaku, Dehl

00-01 AM/W has more in 1BL than 98-99 ever did. And can still move upwards in Summer 2022, Winter 2023. But 02-onwards is where AM/W talent mostly lies.

have to say it kills me that
Hartmann, Kuhn, Abouchabaka, OBM, Dajaku should be higher but bad career moves AND/OR injuries issues has made them all waste bunch of years.

are they less talented than high level ones......no but higher level ones all made smart career choices..........

I could make long post about all 5 but won't. Hopefully come 2022 or 2023 all 5 are in high level.

on 01 M Stiller getting a lot of + responses from Hoff fans in 3-1 win vs Ligue 1, was XI.

a lot of reactions about him could breakthrough XI.

on topic of Dajaku, Union Berlin are A-Holes.

They take him on 1 and a half year loan than gets injured. Than come Summer time and they want to loan a loanee, WTF GTFO with that shit.

a lot of people crtizing that mentality that dumping player from place to place is not good for dev or never any club stability for a player.

club has no II team and doesn't want to integrate so why loan him in??? Union doesn't even integrate their own players......

keep saying German clubs like to collect German youth but mostly do nothing with them, no real interest to integrate.

that's why he's Unknown/limbo. Who knows what's next currently unfit too.

Interesting analysis, he has started 3/4 RL matches so far this season at 6. The description reminds me a bit of a young Julian Weigl although a bit smaller. Playing as a 6 at just 16 v adults is pretty impressive. Definitely worth keeping an eye on.

There are some promising young players like Torben Rhein or Armindo Sieb, who with a little more training experience with the professionals can be trusted to start under talent promoter Nagelsmann. But there are also actors like Michael Cuisance, Joshua Zirkzee or Bouna Sarr, from whom we simply cannot expect more than what has been shown so far.
    https://www.spox.com/de/sport/fussb...kader-hinter-den-eigenen-anspruechen-ftr.html

most think Rhein, Sieb and Stanisic are winners of Bayern preseason. Scott also with decent prospects. I think Lawrence looked good but any CBs (Lawrence/Mbi and others in U19-II) likely won't get any chances unless emergency. Tillman looks promising but after year out still feels not fully there might have to play II. Copado/Ibrahimovic likely only for training.

    lol
Rhein got the most minutes of action (also in the Am preparation, by the way), but for me the silent winner of this professional preparation is Stanisic. Starting eleven in every game, played right and left in the back four, also impressed in the DM, and whoever knows him knows of course that he is actually a trained IV. With this versatility, and with his stature, physical stability and serenity on the pitch, I actually assume that Josi will (in fact) be part of the professional squad, even if it is because of Corona! At least I currently have the impression that Stanisic is ahead of both Sarr and Omar Richards in the internal AV hierarchy.

Although I still don't expect much playing time in 1st anyways. Way Nagelsmann talks about squad and players on bench. Based on his stats 20 man squad, players in bottom order only play like 10% max. That's why he thinks no point in having 20 world class players in squad. Tells you any youth if not taking advantage of others injured won't play that much.

    03 LB Netz,
On the pitch, his strengths lie primarily in the speed and offensive qualities that he brings with him. Once he picks up speed while dribbling, he is difficult to calculate for his opponents in one-on-one. However, and this is only logical at his age, he still has little experience in the senior sector. On the pitch, this can be seen every now and then in his duel, especially defensively. He can also improve his speed of action.

    Assessment of the RP reporter
Strong left-backs - the former national coach Joachim Löw can tell you a thing or two about that - are rare in Germany. Netz is one of those players who are predicted to have a great future in this position. At Borussia, Ramy Bensebaini is set, but his current muscle injury shows that he needs his breaks regularly. At Borussia Netz would be number two and could also be used as a wing defender in a five-man chain if Bensebaini moves into the middle.

A change of Netz‘would also show that Borussia want to prepare for a possible Bensebaini exit, which could become a reality no later than next year, when his contract is only running for one year. And: Netz would have a few months to prove itself and get used to Borussia, far away from its own “stable” in Berlin, where the pressure of expectation is already high. At the beginning of 2022, when Bensebaini is expected to take part in the Africa Cup with Algeria for several weeks, Netz could then get his big chance under coach Adi Hütter.

hard to give 2 shits when Dortmund is likely to block all of them, lol.

    in any case 03 CB Kleine-Bekel, 03 M Lutke-Frie, 03 M Gurpuz, 04 LB Rothe, 04 RB/LB Mrosek, all made 1st debuts this preseason for U19.

others like 04 M Walz and 04 CB/DM Cisse only trained.

"Indescribable feeling" – Dortmund youngsters reflect on training camp
With many senior players making a late return to the team after being on international duty with their countries, 10 players from the U19s and U23s were invited to take part in Borussia Dortmund's pre-season training camp in Bad Ragaz. Here's what the BVB youngsters made of their experiences with the first team.

"They're doing well, the lads are doing well," shouted BVB coach Marco Rose in the background as Colin Kleine-Bekel, 18, talked about training with the first team. "That's great to hear, of course," said the U19 central defender, who – along with five team-mates – was invited to join the training camp. "It's unbelievably fun to be playing here. You soak everything up." Tom Rothe, 16, concurred: "It's special to be here. The level is high and you have to be 100% on it."

Every day, the talented youngsters take to the pitch with the pros, getting stuck into challenges with Mo Dahoud or defending against Erling Haaland. Or they'll play a round of football tennis with the coaching staff. While most of the players only completed a session in the athletics tent on Saturday, assistant coach Alexander Zickler set up barriers on the training ground as a make-shift net and challenged the youngsters to a game of football tennis with head coach Rose and second assistant Rene Maric.

But for three of the young players, the first highlight of the training camp came a day earlier when they featured in the friendly against Bologna. Göktan Gürpüz, 18, has already spent the entirety of pre-season with the senior team and was named in the starting XI for the first friendly in Giessen and the second one against Bologna in Switzerland. "It's a nice experience to be involved here. The pace is relatively high, but it's fun and you take it all in."

"It's a completely different feeling than in the U19s," said the younger Dennis Lütke-Frie. "The tempo and the match intensity are higher. One has to adapt to that, but I think that everyone has done so well." BVB boss Marco Rose certainly concurs.
