Would be good to see Gedikli make his EL debut.

So far this season in CL Berisha has done well, plus very young strikers like Moukoko and Adeyemi are getting their first taste already.

Borkowski and Beier are other CFs with CL/EL potential chances.

hope Bayer trash Israel club and Gedikli plays otherwise would expect only R32 qualification would be open door.

-on Schalke call ups, which is 99 Schuler, 00-Flick and 02-Calhanoglu.
"Flick has a good mentality who can do a lot of work on the pitch, has speed, can fight duels and as a 6 he is often on the offensive.

And Schuler has a good pace, but his games often show inconsistent performance.

I would also have pulled Mehmet Can-Aydin up to the professionals. I found Aydin to be one of the strongest this season, alongside Juan Cabrera, Elias Kurt, Arbnor Aliu and Maden. If not the best in the field."

Can Aydin was good vs Dortmund U19 too.

-lol Rodinghausen who beat Dortmund II, 2-1 today both goals were scored by ex Dortmund Academy player 00 W Ibrahim too. Currently at 5 goals in 8 games, goal every 80 min and top scorer for his club.

as mentioned before only cover RL II teams because players could get 1st team chance without transfers to 1BL-2BL. But still tons of players in other clubs.

00 W Beckhoff is already at 9 goals this season for one for Wiedenbruck a mid-table RL West club. Also top scorer there.

Union Berlin is 2nd oldest 1BL club.
youth players currently are Moser, Maciejewski, Teuchert, N.Schlotterbeck (on loan and not fit yet, sucks since he was great pre-injury) and Bruns.

on 04 CB Bruns who is 2nd 04 to make pro squad this season. Damn, 1.92m tall

The student Mathis Bruns (16), since the F-Jugend Unioner, will continue to "do one or the other training with us", reported Fischer. The 1.92 meter tall defender was already on the bench in the most recent 2-1 win in Cologne. For a Bundesliga debut it is still too early, "he was able to gather some impressions, that should do him good," said the coach to Bruns: "The boy is 16. We have completed five or six training sessions together. He does it well . But we still need a little time to get to know each other. "

-H96's Kocak seems unhappy with his team save for 3 players could be chances for young players. Don't think his unhappiness includes Maina who's been having fitness issues for awhile. Could be chances for guys like Tarnat, Stehle, Gudra etc.
    https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/...n-trainer-kenan-kocak-talente-stehle-de-waal/

update on 02-Bokake from 2 weeks ago.
"We have to expect the worst," coach Kenan Kocak had feared - probably not the only one. On Thursday, the club confirmed that everything was okay in the knee and that further examinations will now follow. It is quite possible that the offensive talent will be able to train again in two weeks. Extremely good news!

U17-U19 players recently in 1st team training.
02-Grace Bokake, Jan-Erik Eichhorn, Lawrence Ennali (last season in shit Schalke U19 game only player that Elgert praised was him but left for H96 U19 in Summer. In fact H96 has recent past few years habit of poaching Schalke players, lol)
04-Adrian Becker (could be 3rd 04 to make 1st team, already played 1st team friendly)

    lol, clubs and dumb transfers.
96-opinion: The image that the club gives is (once again) devastating Kingsley Schindler and Patrick Twumasi may have speed, but they don't use their speed. Twumasi is one of the bigger disappointments of the previous transfer summer. It came for 800,000 euros and, according to reports, was not the A solution from Kocak's wish list - neither was Muroya, who came from Tokyo.

Kocak wanted experienced German second division top performers. He got international professionals from the Spanish (Twumasi), Japanese (Muroya) and Russian (Bijol) leagues. It does not fit. Kocak would have liked to use a ready-made ascent kit: an accurate striker, a strong six, fast outside. He received a colorful Lego bag and so far has not been able to put the individual parts together.

    -update on 01-Glatzel.

I just watched the second half of Bayern v Salzburg. Adeyemi missed a very good 1v1 chance against Neuer. I really wanted him to score that chance. I was a bit disappointed. Berisha had some great first touches and showed nice footwork. It is interesting that he wasn't good enough for Magdeburg at the age of 20( 2 years ago) and now he looks good enough to play against the best.

because Magdeburg was 2BL back then which is mostly a terrible league for youngsters. Age and experience trump everything for 2BL. Only few 2BL clubs are youth friendly.

been saying it for years in German pyramid scheme is shit, 2BL is massive sticking point when it comes to upward progess. When 2BL does mass loaning to 3rd Liga for young players or RL, when they tell 1BL clubs if you loan players we might not play them or we'll only take player on loan if there is buying clause.....lol how annoying. Always feels like there are mass loans from EPL to Championship but not that much from 1BL to 2BL, it's just not efficient. 2BL also jacked up prices to all young players that 1BL was interested in Summer......yeah.....

Berisha was never given any real chances and its cringe in retrospect.

tbf to Adeyemi, Neuer was MOTM and beast, numerous saves. Do wonder if nerves hit Adeyemi. 18 year old CF making CL debut vs his old club Bayern too.
Berisha could have scored more than one today if it weren't for Neuer. Bayern lucky not to have lost pts today.

my current issue with Berisha needs to move up in Summer 2021 to better league and impress there. Very good that he's impressing in CL and on higher end of top scorer list. This should help attract Europe interest and should be able to hit double digits in Austrian Bundesliga too.

And so far he hasn't impressed a huge amount for dfb u21. Like I'm not huge of Nmecha but Nmecha seems more effective and not talking about scoring most of Nmecha goals in U21 are all PKs. But in terms of dribbling, physical presence and even defensively he does a lot. Real Nmecha criticism is really his lack of efficiency everything is there to succeed but that.

    -AB coach on Maier,
Among other things, with actors who could not be there recently, the U-turn should succeed. At least gradually, like for example Andreas Voglsammer, who last played against Bayer 04 for his first brief appearance after a hairline crack in his foot. Neuhaus: "He's a building block that is gradually getting closer to the starting XI. He has a lot of quality in the goal-closing actions in training, and of course he lacks the rhythm of the game." The same applies to Hertha loaned Arne Maier, Arminia's "development aid" for the game forward, most recently after a knee injury and private matters also left out. "He stopped for a few days and has been with the team since Wednesday," reports Neuhaus, who now has all the players in his squad available - healthy and so far with negative corona tests. "I spoke to Arne. We are convinced of his qualities. My goal is to send him into a game in top shape so that he can show what he's capable of and that he can really help the team."

    -Double Schalke updates,
Baum might rest Ludewig for playing a lot recently.

Ansgar Knauff from Göttingen signs a professional contract with Borussia Dortmund

Ansgar Knauff, former youth player of SVG Göttingen, has fulfilled a childhood dream: The 18-year-old signed a professional contract with Borussia Dortmund. The 18-year-old Ansgar Knauff from Göttingen has signed his first professional contract, dated until 2023: The top talent is still in the service of Borussia Dortmund - but now belongs to the first guard of BVB.

In the summer, Knauff had completed the preparation with the team of head trainer Lucien Favre and got a taste of professional air for the first time. The junior international made such a good impression in the training camp that he subsequently moved up from the U19 to the U23 of coach Enrico Maassen. In five games of the regional league team, he scored for the first time last weekend in a 5-1 win in the derby against the U23 of FC Schalke 04, when he marked the interim equalization in the 38th minute.

Knauff was born in Göttingen and was trained at SVG Göttingen. When he was just four years old, he started with the black and white youth group - and in the years that followed, he made a lasting impression on those responsible. “As a child, Ansgar was extremely focused on football. Becoming a professional footballer was his dream from an early age. He always did everything to achieve this, ”said Knauff's long-time coach Helge Kerl when his former protégé was taken to the professional training camp by Favre last summer.

The extreme strengths of the 18-year-old were his ability to sprint and maneuverability as well as being one on one. In addition, he can read and anticipate the game incredibly well, explained Kerl. Marcus Schmidt-Lehmkuhl, youth leader of the SVG, could only agree with this assessment: Knauff was dangerous for goals and strong in duels and had an impressive game intelligence very early on. "At his age he was very, very complete and versatile, both offensive and defensive," said Schmidt-Lehmkuhl.

-love his use of his speed and technique. 2nd goal even physically shrugs player too. And last one was sublime finish.

    -Baum on youngsters.
Baum wants to see attitude and attitude. "The passion that every player brings to the field" is now "much more important than a collection of high-quality players who only work for themselves". If "at the end of the day there are a lot of players from the Knappenschmiede", that's the way it is. The commitment of the talents in all honor: The leap into the upper house remains a big one, of course. And it is by no means the case that all the players in the Bundesliga squad are now out of the picture: "But we also have enough players in the professional field who are falling behind due to these events and the reporting." Doors could open to the left and front A-Junior Çalhanoğlu can hope for a cadre nomination or even a mission. Full-back Bastian Oczipka is questionable for the weekend. Hamza Mendyl is also available for the left side.

"If we have a good feeling, if they fit in well, if they simply bring passion to the field, why shouldn't they be some who can't play in the professional team from a young age?" Said Baum about the chances of the young guard.

I have a rant. I have to let it out.

So Bayern fans gets estatic by Marc Roca performance before the red card. On top of that, before the Salzburg match, Flick had to explain justify playing Javi over Roca on last bundesliga match before Salzburg.

So Bayern fans heads over heels over Marc Roca. They never bother if Stiller not even on bench.

But fair enough. No problem. Let say it is true Stiller is sh1t compared to Roca and Tiago Dantas. Okay, I agree, whatever.

But why on fu3k earth Flick or Brazzo or even other management of Bayern always said that oooo Stiller is very talented, hardworking, has all the arsenal to succeed. Not only Stiller but this can be apply to Rhein, Dajaku, Mbi.

I got it. All German youth players are sh1t. Let say it is the truth. Okay. No problem.

But let's call A SPADE with A SPADE. No need to sugarcoat, no need to give false testimony, false hope whatever the fu3k it is. What for? Why does it is important to praise Arp, Stiller, Rhein, Mbi, Dajaku or any other youth in other BL club if they are really sh1t. Why? Does the management afraid the young players gonna cry all day long?

My point is, I AM FU3CKING TIRED WITH ALL THOSE PRAISE toward young German players then give them ZERO chance. If they are sh1t, say it loud. Grow some balls.

More like if you don't rate them be quiet no need to say anything. But your right at Bayern (and other clubs) they praise a lot the German players but then no one plays. Can't impress if you don't play or given chance, just there to decorate bench. Even Mai, Fein and OBM who are on loan got tons of praise but never used. Brazzo called Mai best Bayern defender at Academy and had more chances with Jupp when 17 than when he was 20, lol. Last season he spent half the season as 1st team unused bench.....Mai with his composure, dribbling, long balls, anticipation did well as Bayern II won 3rd Liga for 1st time. Only lacking high end speed but if Hummels can play for Bayern and Dortmund not a deal breaker. Hopefully next season he goes to 1BL club or 1st division abroad to gain more experience, his career is more important.

Arp gets praised by Flick too much for someone he never uses. Forget scoring, watch II matches and you see midfield being overrun, II struggling to breakthrough other team's box as too many teams defend as whole aka parking bus. When tons of games THIS season it's like 10/11 or 11/11 all young players with holes in their games. Playing uptop isn't as easy.

let's be honest Flick makes a lot of excuses and praises too much players all the time. Even when players did poorly still praises them. Like he tries to avoid being critical publicly. Just look at that Spanish RB from last season constantly praising him and saying he promised him game time even when complete rubbish and all internal reports saying he doesn't rate the Spaniard, LMAO.

anyways, care more about these players a lot should leave in Summer and make real career progress. 3rd Liga with youth team and unused bench/scrap min is pointless. No one should play 3rd Liga max 2 years.

    German CFs in Europe.
    CL:
    98-Berisha (XI)
02-Adeyemi (made debut yesterday), Borkowski (bench)
    04-Moukoko (bench)

    EL
    98-J.Eggestein (XI)
02-Beier (made debut today and in XI too)
    03-Gedikli (bench, hopefully debuts today)

when one sees, Adeyemi, Borkowski, Beier, Woltemade, Moukoko playing pro footy and then Gedikli and Matanovic closing in on debuts and these players are doing so at 16-18 years old too. Don't recall Germany ever having this many teenage CFs jump to 1st team very early. And Still tons of 02-04 CFs who could still get chances this season or next one and be in teenage years. And also a lot of 98-01s are currently 1BL-2BL too.

Guess who's back. Back in training after a few months of injuries: Frederik Jäkel. "I no longer feel any pain, now build up to be ready to play again."

I hope he at least makes Belgian 1st division/pro debut pre-next year. And that by next year he breaksthrough XI. If he wants to get Leipzig 1st team chance step 1 is XI.

Good to see the new generation of German CF's are starting to break through. Would be great to see 5-6 playing regularly in 2 years time.

Imagine the NT actually having some CF depth for once.

I expect Gedikli and Moukoko to make their European debut this season, especially if their club can qualify from the group early. Borkowski less likely as Leipzig will go to the last match.

Be interesting to see who scores first out of the teenagers, hopefully it's Beier tonight.

what I think about Leipzig is that if they end up in EL, could see Samardzic, Martel, Wosz, Borkowski get chances in Europe. Unlikely all but it opens door.

But if they use last 2 games to qualify for CL R16 than would be surprising if any get used in CL Knockouts unless injury problems pops up.

but yes potential depth at CF being possible is nice to finally see. Will be exciting following all these players and more in future.

Beier doing well, very tenacious agressive, he fouled other team players like 4 times and some are bigger too as he goes after every dual. Good movements, does hold up pretty well too and involved in build up too.

Numbers are 100% passing, 1 tackle, 2 dribbles with 100% success rate, won almost half his duals too, 3/8, for a player who turned 18 few days ago too.

04 CF Sanogo of Union Berlin is training with 1st team. No idea if other U17-U19 are also training besides Bruns and Sanogo.

although doubt he'd be used, likely only training with 1st team due to covid delaying U17-U19. Unlike Bruns who's a U19 player, Sanogo is a U17 player. Only played U19 1 game due to covid canceling U17 game for that weekend. Also Bruns made squad due to fitness issues in CB. But for Sanogo there is no real need uptop unless more injuries pops up. He scores a lot in U17 but majority of his goals are PKs, tap ins and taking advantage of defensive blunders and isn't physically behind either.

as for eligibility, I know it's been said he's not eligible YET. But for like 6 months when asked on instagram who can he play for always lists Germany, Ivory Coast and USA and he was asked that tons of times too. Also said he hasn't made final decision from the 3 options.

and dfb aka Prus called him up to 2 dfb camps including last International Camp for U17/04s back in October which was cancelled due to covid.

not 1st nor last potential eligibility player who can be discussed here. Other thread is for provisional and permanent cap tie. We mention here 01-Voloder and 02-Asllani who are provisionally capped because dfb keeps calling them up. Neither has switched yet too.

-RL Nord has been delayed until 2021. It's disastrous to see so many players won't train or play. Clubs should get relevant II players to train with 1st team.
    -on 00-Massimo,
His colleagues were able to collect plus points in training while Massimo was on the road with the German U21s. He returned from his trip very late, which is why he missed the final training session last Friday. That was the reason why the right-winger was not in the squad on matchday 8 against Hoffenheim (3: 3), Pellegrino Matarazzo now explained.

But that has now been ticked and the 20-year-old was able to present himself in training again: "Massimo is fully involved," confirmed Matarazzo. "Now at the weekend he is an issue for the squad because he has trained much better this week. He also performed well in the U21s. He is now an option for Saturday," reported the trainer.

-More hints that 02-Calhanoglu could make Schalke squad.

shame that Gedikli came on at same time as Wirtz came off. Would have loved to see the 03 boys play together for club.

not too bad for a player who hasn't played a match since October due to covid. I really enjoyed his movement all over the field. Didn't shy away from a dual too, only iffy moments was twice with his back to goal and he either slipped or got back shoved and fell not sure which one it was. He also did pressing and build up got ball back twice too. Actually was more involved in build up in midfield than Alario who mostly waits. Some stats, 50% dribbling success rate, 100% passing, 1/3 won duals. Looks lanky, a player who could be even more interesting as he improves physically than his duals and back to goal would be even better.

It's know Bayer rates him, just this season got praised by Rolfes, his ex U17 coach and like another 3 people who work at the club. That he's a humble hard working ambitious player who also works as a clerk at Bayer too.

I mean who was last Academy player that Bayer played not called Havertz. All the Azhil, those double Poles, Boller etc none ever left unused bench status.
