also they have dominated in DFB for 10 age group.
-Assomo=4 goals and 1 assist in 3 games. Didnt play as much to injury. G or A every 43 min

curious to see how Assomo and Turbic do next season for Germany U17.

We’ve been searching for future number 9s (lack of them btw)
and we think we have found one in 15-Year-Old Vedad Turbic at Bayern Munich. The general issue with creating number 9s like Kane/Lewondowski etc etc is because academies play mostly with 1 striker, so we are losing specialists in that position.

So when we scouted a recent Germany game, and saw Vedad, it was great to see! He demonstrated different areas to his game. The ability to hold the ball up, link play, makes runs in behind (another thing we don’t see attackers do anymore due to defenders constant building with short passes)

And… of course variety in his finishing. We are Looking forward to seeing him progress over the next few years

in general I prefer not to overhype any player especially not anyone playing in youth level crap. Its why I rarely bring up players below certain ages because its more logical to go wait and see approach aka time will tell.

too many players fizzle as they move up in club footy, so I see no point in fixating on any of that low level crap.

One can score 1 million goals in U17 and it makes 0 difference on whether they will make it to the pros. Same for U19 footy too.

at end of day, breakingthrough pros and impressing vs adults is the most important thing. Looking good vs kids is one thing but being able to replicate vs adults is another.

but all indication is that yes we do have promising, interesting CFs talents emerging or will emerge in future.

 

on topic of CFs, I do laugh at how troll poster in past would rage like a maniac for me saying wave of next gen CFs emerging.

-Wave of next gen CFs= NEVER EVER meant, they are all world class or Elite or whatever, LMAO. This is exactly what that twerp thought every time I said those words.
-why the ******** would I ever say that about any player anyways. I've ALWAYS said for me the REAL list of world class is very very very very small and same goes to Elite, there are more elite players then world class obviously. But reality most players their ceiling is just good players, that's it and nothing wrong with that.

I also personally have very low opinion of Hawwy Kane and hes viewed as world class and its not even because hes British its simply because I dont see much promise there, LOL. For me hes one of worst CFs ever that are categorized as world class too, LMAO. Like sooooo many better over the decades. Only reason why Kane gets so much hype is because in past X # of years, there hasnt been a huge amount of world class CFs so when you compare Kane to whats out there he looks better than he actually is, LOL.
-to be world class or Elite it requires season after season after season aka consistency over career. Not a 1-2 season hit and then crash, LOL.
-nobody can tell if a kid CF will be World Class or Elite when they are young anyways. They can show potential and interesting package but TIME WILL TELL if they can take that package and potential and turn into Gold or not.

-Conclusion the REAL MEANING of wave of next gen CFs Emerging is what.....its to indicate that the next gen CFs are FINALLY something PROMISING for NT......like a ********ING HUGE UPGRADE to what we have and what we had for like 10 years post Klose-Gomez. Not even saying any will be their level just that we FINALLY have something that is more usable at MIN. And no False 9 BS, actual CFs too. If any reaches Klose-Gomez level that would be great but even if one level below its better than nothing as long as they are suitable for NT and work in the system thats good enough. Does anyone think Kleindienst, Fullkrug, Undav etc have more potential then next gen CFs. 3 out 3 are late bloomers vs kids emerging younger and making waves younger.

 

I am glad to know that Brunner is impressing in pre season. He was outstanding with U17 in Euro and WC and I thought he will be integrated from BVB in BL . Unfortunately, BL teams hardly give chances to youngsters especially BVB recently ( the last was Moukoko maybe ) so we are lately seeing many young germans leave BL at very young age to get more chances to start.

 

They should send at least one or two on loan to a BL2 team because I don't see more than one getting few minutes next season.

-Germany U18 All Time Scorer=05 CF Pejcinovic
-Germany U19 All Time Scorer=07 AM+W Onyeka............07 CF Stange was behind by only 2 goals but he played 2 less games.
-Germany U20 All Time Scorer=06 CF Brunner, LOL bagged his 2nd All time stat last season. Since hes likely to play U20 next season he likely will extend his record BEYOND his current #s.

-Germany U21 All Time Scorer=NOBODY for now BUT 04 CF Tresoldi is only 6 goals behind from taking record. Between entire next season+U21 Euro 2027, hes well on track to bag the record.


LMAO if Tresoldi bags U21 record, it basically means our CURRENT next gen players took ALL the records at ALL levels for Germany YNT, LULZ.

 

my understanding is that most actually rate Turbic more than Assomo. They see Turbic as more complete package CF and more allround game. While Assomo is usual issue is that too much of his high standing is due to physicality edges and he has been criticized in past for needing to improve his 1st touch. Will his physicality edges disappear in pro footy and he gets exposed or is his physicality edge turned to a weapon in pro footy time will tell which one it is. I think his physicality is also main reason he played RL last season. While von Taube is rated less then the 2 others.

main issue with Bayern they dont loan out 15-17 year olds, my guess is one will be main CF in U17, one will be main CF in U19 and the other in RL.

and I agree only one is likely to get chances next season, who is likely dependent on 1st team training.

I think 2027-2028 season is when we might see loaning beginning for them.

would be amazing if one of them can breakthrough directly and be Kane understudy CF but an Elite club like Bayern, GK and CF is most ruthless position, so seems sadly doubtful. Like I keep seeing people who think Bayern GK Prescott is future #1....Bayern isnt going to make a in future RL GK #1 at their club and if Urbig is #1 its for LONG Term.

I could see LOAD of interest for 3 out of 3 of these young CFs though whether other 1BL or 2BL clubs.

 

Stuttgart, BVB and Leipzig, Frankfurt are like some of main SHIT LIST for a lot of us.

Leipzig at least with Finkgrafe, Ouedraogo, Gruda are finally opening door for German youth.....but not Academy ones.

heck even Frankfurt who I shat on for ages, is making progress with German youth. Ive been shitting on them since I joined this board. With Aseko, Baum, Collins and with Baum thats 1 Academy player too.

if Stuttgart can get Pejcinovic which I hope they do then add Seimen and Jeltsch not too bad,

but BVB is like crickets, LULZ. Its legit now one of worst clubs for German talents. Like its really bad they have no interest in German youth because $$$ for dev and sell is for non-Germans its all about making money for that club. None of the foreign youth even care about club they are just stepping stone.

 

The first touch thing is a big deal, like you say dominating physically is fine but it won't continue at higher levels. That's why I find the more complete but also technically gifted CF's more promising at youth level, and why I always liked Woltemade. Size alone isn't enough.

I too prefer the technically gifted CF, complete package ones. Like if Germany focuses on possession Style mixed in with very offensive style of play we need difference makers uptop and ones who have the skills to fit into the XI or from bench not ones who are out of place. And that's usually how I evaluate CFs myself, based on whole package and usefulness long term.

other issue plaguing Assomo is what African descent CF is even relevant at this stage. Its a very small list like from 90s born to 06s seems only Moukoko, Ansah, Brunner, Musah. And there have been sooooooooooooooooooooo many of them but the rest ALL fizzled, some in 2BL-3rd Liga are okayish but not relevant. African descent CFs are the most deceptive when it comes to youth footy due to physicality edges when younger that then gets them 100% exposed once they go pro.

more then that, its becoming clear in itself that 1BL clubs are only keen on complete package CFs. The ones who are complete or close and more technically gifted those are the ones who are jumping to 1BL-2BL VERY VERY VERY young.

if one notices ALL of our 02-onwards CFs, ALL the most promising CFs jumped to pros super fast aka as teenagers-20ish in 1BL-2BL level. This is also another reality that people miss, if wave of next gen CFs doesnt exist then why have so many next gen CFs made pro jump super fast. Remember 1BL clubs and 2BL clubs are very ruthless to German youth especially at CF so anyone who makes it fast is because they have the potential to make it. Heck or example of poached Asllani and Matanovic both had breakout 1BL season last season and both brokethrough 1BL-2BL very very very young too. The trend is there.

This is NOT something anyone can say about CFs from 90s-01. CFs from those age groups, 1BL-2BL clubs nixed almost everyone super fast. Sooooooooooooooo many got like 1-2 caps and then dumped perm to 3rd Liga-RL. Barely anyone from that like 13 age groups actually made it to 1BL young. DFB was so desperate they basically went after Nmecha, Ache, Berisha, 3 Germans who left Germany young because 90s born CFs didnt produce much. In fact 90s born CFs is Land of LATE BLOOMERS, LOL. But even late bloomers arent the type of CFs to actually win trophies, we wont win trophies with Kleindienst, Undav, Fullkrug, etc. They are more serviceable and lack that final quality to real make real impact for SNT. If the next gen are at MIN a level above them that's already an upgrade.

 

One thing that frustrates me with the some of the biggest 1BL clubs, in particular Bayern & Dortmund is how many foreign youth they insist on signing.

Dortmund in particular give virtually no chances to German youth, selling guys like Rothe, Collins, Watjen, Brunner and probably Kabar whilst hyping up the likes of Reggiani, Inacio, Lerma, Prates, Yamamoto, Albert, Diallo etc etc. Basically all their most hyped talents, other then Kaba, are signed from abroad. The indication is that this will continue as they push more back towards the develop and sell strategy.

 

Bayern foreign youth are all irrelevant players though they end up playing U19-RL before bailing perm. They just do it for brand reasons etc.

but BVB, never forget their motto
We only bring in foreign youth if they have potential for 1st team.

..so every single foreign youth without exception is seen as 1st team prospect, LMAO whether U17, U19, II, or directly into 1st team.

much worse is BVB signs in foreign youth in same ages and positions as the so called top talent Germans at club essentially they purposefully screw their own Academy.

they also BS with whole they consider anyone who farted in U17-II=our Academy players....yeah no they are foreign signed where you always meant for them to be in 1st team , NOT REAL Academy players.

 

-04 AM Damar looking like 2BL Wolfsburg transfer. Its a shame that Hoffenheim doesn't give him a chance, hes already impressed in 2BL loan in past, that's not what he needs he needs 1BL integration oh well.

-07 CB/RB Erlein an XI at 3rd Liga Hoff II is moving to 1BL Bayer who will loan him out to 2BL. I'm not too sure what his position will be long term. Initially was a CB but then for some reason, Hoff II mostly plays him at RB. Also he was XI for U19 Euro where he was at CB for tourney, time will tell.

correction Bayer is another trash club in this regard but we are increasingly seeing signs of doing better.

-07 RW/RWB/RB Culbreath, 09 M Eichhorn=in 1st team, with Culbreath even an Academy player
-07 AM/W Onyeka=after successful 2BL loan now on 1BL Elversberg loan for this season
-07 CB/RB Erlein=soon to be transfer and 2BL loan next season
-06 W Ruprecht and 07 M Mensah=seem likely to leave whether loan or perm. So far Ruprecht looking like preseason with 1st team for now but believe loan is likely but Mensah looking like hes doing trial in Netherlands.

YEAH when it comes to next gen players, we are seeing players ALL 1BL clubs but BVB continues to be the MAIN HOLDOUTS, LOL.

 

is Hoffenheim turning into a bad club for integration.....
they always claim how prideful they are of their Academy but....

-II in 3rd Liga has pushed for 0 integration in 1st team. In fact ALL 1BL IIs in 3rd Liga always seem to do 0 1st team integration, LOL. Not sure I get logic.

-04 CB Quarshie brokethrough 1st team did well for his 1 cap then dumped on 2BL loan. After successful 2BL loan instead of integrating him into 1st team they sold him to Championship for $$$.
-05 CB Drexler, brokethrough 1st team and got praise then got loaned out to 2BL. They then said they will integrate him into 1st team only to sell him perm to RB Salzburg
-05 LB Behrens had a HIT 1BL Heidenheim loan only to sell him to 1BL Augsburg this Summer
-04 AM Damar, had HIT 2BL loan only to be barely used last season in 1st team and now selling him to relegated to 2BL Wolfsburg
-07 CB/RB Erlein hit in 3rd Liga II and in U19 Euro sold to 1BL Bayer.....how does Bayer have more planning than Hoffenheim
-05 W Hennrich who was a hit in 3rd Liga II was sold to relegated to 2BL Heidenheim

how long until they sell more and more youth from Academy, LOL. Seems to me its a club that doesnt want anything to do with defensive players, 4/6 are D players. Do they think integrating D players will get their D destroyed, LOL. The Behrens is weird one you sell someone who had a hit 1BL loan.....why.

 

I watched him with U19. He looked promising but leverkuson already brought Oermann last yr and he was not used at all.

Erlein is not as bad transfer because he outside of 1 EL cap for Hoff 1st team never brokethrough. And one would expect that 2BL was always going to be next step for him anyways since Hoff avoids integrating for realz D players.

issue with loans has always been who says there will be room for you post loan in parent club, LOL.

Who will get called up...Hulsmann, Podlech, Hellstern. Calling up Hellstern might make sense in whole call up a next U21 cycle up early. Heck would say if Hellstern is #1 in 2BL next season, call him up over Weiss too for U21 Euro.

on topic of CFs, I think there is too much obsession over age groups.
-Age Groups don't exist in SNT
-purpose of age groups is basically UXX that's it, as you get older you move up. Also once you end up in U21 its now 2 age groups COMBINED. So if Age Group X is good at CF but Y is weaker who cares call up more Age Group X CFs, LOL. Also one can even call up Age Group Z up a cycle too.
-why do so many act like Germany needs 100 CFs, LMAO.....nobody needs that many. Also when majority of CFs are duals, its already hard enough to keep players in program, that having HUGE # isn't realistic and majority will be poached.....at that point your just dev CFs for other countries, LULZ.
-another less said reality what rival country in world devs 5+ amazing CFs per age group anyways. I legit don't see that anywhere for any country.

reality most age groups for any country tend to dev relevant CFs at like 0-3 per age groups TOPS. If anyone from any country can dev 3 in 1 age group that's good #s. The ones beyond are just pool options not serious options for anything relevant.

also when most only play 1 uptop what need is there for 5+ anyways.

-from 02-05s so far, no age groups has dev 0 relevant CFs from Germany. If one says what about 03s......well there is Matanovic who had breakout 1BL season last season so WE DID Dev 1 relevant CF in that age group but he ended up poached.
