With all the hoopla about the WC apparently we forgot about U19 championship. Germany played Denmark, winning in a squeaker 4-3.

Anyone know anything about the team/players?

 

Germany started in a perfect way with a 3-0 lead. I expected a bigger result but denmark looked better in 2nd half and they closed the gap with the help of our keeper Hellstern in the 2nd goal.
Germany have some interesting players from Pedrosa ( rb) to Nink( lb) , onyeka the captain , cullbreath ( already known in BL with leverkuson), and Stange( HSV) who scored 2 goals. But I was surprised with Catovic( Stuttgart) and Reimers( HSV) because I did not hear about before and they played very well.

 

Catovic is an interesting talent, played mainly 3. Liga with Stuttgart II, composed, ball playing DM who is currently linked with a move to Hoffenheim and Wolfsburg.

Germany being destroyed by Spain 4-0, it appears Germany rested players. I'm not familiar with the team to be absolutely certain but Stange wasn't in the starting line up.

 

Looks like 05 M Aseko is moving from Bayern to Frankfurt. Apparently he has been promised a prominent role so I understand his motives for making the move, although it did seem possible for him to be integrated into the Bayern squad.

Yeah was crucial to equalise so soon after going 1 down, was nice play from Lum after a quick throw, and very composed play from Stange to make space for himself and finish from the edge of the box.

We've been the better team but have struggled to create a lot, and of course conceded from pretty much their only dangerous attack lol.

 

Saw now that Ukraine won against Italy,Serbia and Croatia in the group games. Seems to be quite at tough nut to crack

Overall a deserved win, against a tough well organised opponent. Stange was close to scoring not long before the winner, wasn't sure but looked like he might have been fouled rounding the gk? At least it didn't matter in the end.

 

Lets see if Bundesliga clubs Will use the talents though. Think thats the biggest concern

Spain will be a tough nut to crack, they haven't conceded a single goal all competition. Hoping for the best.
