He played RB and did pretty well, went close to scoring early on. Got praise from Hjulmand and Andrich.

Hopefully Leverkusen start integrating more, Onyeka has done well on loan at Bochum and the likes of Hawighorst and the Mensah bros are highly rated.

 

Karl with an assist and good performance against Gladbach. Wael Mohya scores his first BL goal at 17 yrs( not sure if he is the youngest gladbach scorer) and against bayern ( wirtz first goal scored was against bayern too in 2020).

 

Incredible seeing two 08 players being productive in a top BL match.

It looks like Mohya is the youngest ever Gladbach goalscorer. Previous record holder was Marco Villa who was just over 18.

 

It is great to see Karl performing well and starting before the international break. Nagelsmann should not think twice about including him in WC squad.
I am glad to see Mohya scoring for 10 men gladbach. Looking forward to see him combining with Kleindienst soon. He looks like a big talent hopefully we don't lose like we did with Maza.

 

Lennart Karl is definitely needs to get call up for WC. He both foots can drill defenders and swich up his legs for crosses something Leroy Sane will never would. Sane only cut inside using his left.

If Nagelsmann still call up Sane again, I am death haha.

 

Wael Mohya is starting for the 2nd time. Hopefully he impresses in order to be called up by Germany U19 or even U21.

I guess the most likely thing is US poaching, especially in a WC year but we'll have to wait and see.

 

Wisdom Mike suffered a muscle injury on his hip and requires surgery. He'll be out for 3 to 4 months which means his season is over

Ben Bobzien bagged a brace for Dresden

 

Karl scored his 4th CL goal and as per the latest reports he is gonna receive his first senior call from Nagelsmann tomorrow.

 

At 16 yrs and less than 2 months , Filip Pavic makes his debut for bayern and sets new rocord as the youngest bayern debutant in CL history.

 

He did well, looked calm and composed. Hopefully he gets more chances.

In the two upcoming qualifying matches for participation in the European Championship 2027 in Albania and Serbia, the German U 21 national team will meet Northern Ireland and Greece. On Friday, 27. March (from 6 pm, live on ProSieben MAXX and Joyn), the U 21 of Northern Ireland is a guest at the Eintracht Stadium in Braunschweig. Afterwards, the DFB team will meet on Tuesday, 31. March (from 6 pm CEST/7 pm local time, live on ProSieben MAXX and Joyn) in Athens on the Greek selection. Head coach Antonio Di Salvo has now nominated his 24-player squad for both games.

"Northern Ireland and Greece are our two strongest group opponents, so this international phase is of particular importance for the European Championship qualification," says Di Salvo. "We have to resist the combative Northern Irelands from the beginning. I am convinced that with the support of our fans in Braunschweig we can win this game and then have a real top game in Athens. Due to our defeat in the first leg, Greece is currently the leader of the table in our group, which we would of course like to change - knowing the quality of the Greek team. Nevertheless, we want to win both games in order to go into the last qualifying games in the fall with an optimal starting position."

Coulibaly, Finkgräfe and Lenz new

Di Salvo can draw on many regulars. "We have a strong squad and mainly rely on the players who were already there in the previous qualifying games," said the head coach. "In addition, Linus Gechter from Hertha BSC and Brajan Gruda from RB Leipzig, two returnees to the team again." For the first time in the U 21 squad are the defensive players Karim Coulibaly from SV Werder Bremen and Max Finkgräfe from RB Leipzig as well as for the offensive Cajetan Lenz from VfL Bochum. "We are looking forward to getting to know these players and are curious how they will contribute to the U 21 circle."

Di Salvo, on the other hand, has to do without Lennart Karl, who was nominated for the A national team. "Lennart shows strong performances at the Bavarians in the Bundesliga and Champions League at the highest level and has thus earned this nomination," says the U 21 coach. "He also convinced us in the November setting with three goals in two games." In addition, Assan Ouedraogo (RB Leipzig, in advanced training) and Ilyas Ansah (after consultation with Union Berlin) are missing.

The U 21 European Championship will take place in Albania and Serbia in 2027. In qualifying group F, the German team meets Latvia, Georgia, Greece, Northern Ireland and Malta. After five match days, the DFB selection is second in the table with 12 points behind Greece (15 points) and ahead of Northern Ireland (7 points). In addition to the two hosts, the nine group winners and the best group second-up qualify for the European Championship final round. The eight remaining group runners-up are playing the playoffs to determine the last four final round participants.
