Hannover have an option to buy of €1m for the 20-year old, while Bayern have a buy-back clause in the low single-digit million sum. Aséko has impressed during his loan spell, and internally at Bayern he's described as a 'physical monster'

Will be interesting to see what Bayern do with Aseko, he has the potential to play for a top 1BL club but will he get playing time if he goes back there next season.

The ideal scenario imo is Pavlovic, Bischof + Aseko getting regular playing time at Bayern, Dortmund integrating Watjen & Kaba and Leipzig signing Eichhorn and pairing him with Ouedraogo.

Jykese Fields (captain of the U19) is reportedly signing a professional contract until 2030.

That's the problem when you look at the 05-08 year groups, tons of potential but so many duals and countries attempting to poach left and right.

At least from 05 we still have Siemen, Weiper, Pejcinovic, Di Benedetto, Ulrich, Aséko etc who are still with the DFB.

 

LOL, almost all the current youth at Bochum will likely be sold in Summer.

I think they want more 100% owned players and less loanees going forward. Should be able to breakthrough for realz next season when Watjen ends his loan and Lenz gets sold in Summer.

Tbh I prefer talents not to be talked about too much outside of Germany, as we end up with players jumping to EPL too early. Jeltsch is in the best place for his development, playing EL and maybe CL next season.

TSG HOFFENHEIM STRENGTHENS ITSELF WITH LUIS ENGELNS
TSG Hoffenheim welcome talented central midfielder Luis Engelns to their ranks. The 18-year-old joins TSG from SC Paderborn with immediate effect.


“Luis is a very exciting player with excellent game intelligence and a strong presence in central midfield,” says Paul Pajduch, technical director of TSG Hoffenheim. “Despite his young age, he has already gained valuable experience in professional football. At TSG, he can take the next step in his development, gaining important playing time in the 3. Liga and get used to the level of the Bundesliga.”

Luis Engelns progressed through all of SC Paderborn's youth teams and made the jump to the professional ranks early on. In October 2024, he made his debut in the 2. Bundesliga in Paderborn’s away match against 1. FC Kaiserslautern. This season, the central midfielder has made 17 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga, scoring one goal. Engelns has played two matches in the DFB Pokal and, in total, made 29 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga.

Engelns also gained early experience at an international level with four appearances for the German U19 national team up to now.

 

Hopefully he makes the next step with the 1st team and does not end up in 3rd league because Paderborn are competing for promotion to BL.

FORTUNA SIGNS KILIAN SAUCK ON DEADLINE DAY

18-YEAR-OLD COMES FROM BORUSSIA MÖNCHENGLADBACH

Fortuna struck again on the transfer market on Deadline Day and signed Kilian Sauck from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The 18-year-old offensive player signs a contract until the 30th. June 2029 and will wear the number 29 in the Red and Whites.

The Hamburg-born Sauck first grew up in football at HSV Barmbek-Uhlenhorst and FC St. Pauli, before he was drawn to the youth of the "Foals" in 2021. There he ran through the youth teams in recent years up to the U23. For them he was used 16 times in the current season of the Regionalliga West season. He scored two goals and prepared two more.

Sauck can act both in the offensive midfield and on the outside lanes. He has already been used three times for the U19 national team of Germany. In 2024, he was awarded the Fritz Walter Medal in silver in the U17 age group.

Sven Mislintat, Board Member Sport: "With Kilian we are winning a very young offensive player with strong assets and great development potential for us. He is brave with the ball on his foot, has a good speed dribbling and can create chances in the last third with his qualities. We are happy that Kilian is joining Fortuna.”
