...the match against Malta: We created a lot of scoring chances, and the quality of those chances was good. We've never had 52 shots on goal before. We could have scored one or two more goals. Nevertheless, we were good in our positioning and movement, we just weren't quite as clinical. We want to improve on that.

...his squad: Everyone is fit and healthy. Hopefully, that will still be the case after the final training session. Said El Mala has also joined the squad.

...the upcoming opponent Georgia: They are a very difficult opponent. We want to make sure we take the three points home. We want to impose our game on the Georgians and play a dominant game.

...the goalkeeper position: Mio Backhaus played well against Backhaus and was there when needed in the second half. That was very important because we wanted to keep a clean sheet. Dennis Seimen will play in the second match. Both goalkeepers have been training really well, as has Max Weiß. The other two have a slight edge over him because they have the necessary playing time at their clubs.

... Finn Jeltsch's performance in the unfamiliar full-back position: Finn Jeltsch didn't seem to mind the position at all, as he had many opportunities to break up the press and created many good chances both offensively and defensively.

... Said El Mala: We have several options for the game. Said's strengths lie on the left side. I'll wait and see how he does in training today. He hasn't trained with us yet – let's see how he comes along. Then we'll make a decision tomorrow.

-interesting saw mention that 1BL Frankfurt might be interested in 06 CF Moerstedt of 1BL Hoffenheim. Although he's better off staying if Hoffenheim go full integration mode, he's regular on bench in 1st team. With Asllani+Lemperle already attracting bigger clubs, the door might open up for him soon enough.

-LOL, Barcelona and Flick seem to be tracking 06 W El Mala of 1BL Koln.....yeah no, don't go to these bum EPL-La Liga clubs, needs to stay in 1BL and go to a top 1BL club instead.

-on 08 M Kaba of 1BL BVB. LOL, I'll believe it when I see it, that club only makes real effort to integrate non-German youth, LMAO. In any case, all indication that wave of very promising next gen Ms are itching for more and more breakingthrough top clubs!!!!

in all honestly, I'm not surprised, Osawe for me, always came off as someone who its more physicality edge over real skills. You know that criticism about youth footy and how some players look better due to their body over anything. Even that double U17 Trophies, Osawe for me was always the "team's muscle", LOL. He was that big/physical aggressive type that is super useful to have in youth footy but maybe not as much down the line. From all the regulars of those 2 tourney he was one of the biggest question marks.

I still think he'll make it as a pro but he's not one of our more promising Ms, just one of maaaaaany.

on his career, its gonna be interesting to see what happens.
FCN II are currently in 1st place in 3 way fight for 3rd Liga Promotion. So if FCN II goes up to 3rd Liga, then he won't go on loan and then jump from II in 3rd Liga to 2BL FCN would be very small. Or he manages to breakthrough between post Winter break to next season. Time will tell.

we also had Portugal in our U17 EC GS too. We flopped as they comeback beat us 2-1 too.

given that he's small he is forced to either be on the sideways or outside the box for corners. He's not going to be smack in middle vs CBs, LOL.

that's use of having such a player to finish when need be on back post.

I agree, Osawe was very much a physically strong type of midfield enforcer, didn't he get sent off in the WC final lol. Like you say wasn't the most talented from the 06 midfield, I expect Ouedraogo, Darvich, Harchaoui, Watjen etc to achieve more but even a decent pro career is fine. It's obviously never the case that every player from trophy winning youth teams makes it to the top, but still good to have a balance at those levels with the earlier developers doing the physical side to provide a platform for others.

LOL, yeah he got red carded in final and almost cost us entire tourney. He always felt not far off from getting sent off in other games.

I mean even a Lenz at Bochum has overtaken him too.
he'll make it because German footy loves his type of player.

yeah was needed especially after Ouedraogo got injured. One does need physicality boosters on teams in those early UXX levels to make a difference. But down line, they will lose relevance.

we need El Mala and Komur to score goalazos so then entire attack+Bischof will have scored long distance this International break, LOL.

its needed since these teams bus park too much.

 

I mean better luck and Karl should instead of being 3 goals in 2 games should be like 5-6 goals in 2 games.....would have been crazy stats for a player that young, LOL. But yeah its hard to keep him here long term.

Ansah + Damar coming on, the attacking depth in this squad is impressive.

Is it GD or H2H that seperate teams? With Greece winning heavily we could do with more goals.
