one funny thing about this tourney from D POV, not too bad conceding 3 goals in 4 games. the main issue is that 3/3 goals were all similar. the D doesn't close down the shooter who shoots from either outside of box or from some distance. meaning 3/3 were all 100% avoidable goals to concede, LOL.
we got Krattenmacher 2.0 emerging, LOL. 05 AM/W Krattenmacher is currently on 2BL Hertha loan. his younger bro 08 AM/W Krattenmacher just scored today his 1st ever adult goals as he bagged a brace in a 5-0 W for RL Unterhaching. Both bros emerging from Unterhaching too. Unterhaching are currently fighting FCN II in terms of RL Bayern 1st place and 3rd Liga Promotion. From a Youth POV, both play loads of young player, so either way.
Patrick-Marc Meister and Alexander Staff Now fuck off and have a shit career from now on. Fucking dogshit— German Talents Scout (@GermanTalents) November 15, 2025 sheesh calm the frick down. sure most of us want Meister axed but if he gets a club gig good for him. No need for the excess negativity. He's wrong man to coach DFB. DFB needs to be more serious, your coaches need to be better and have been bad for a LONG time outside of like 1-2 and that's it. as for Staff, he's a dual, like most of the players if he gets poached than he's no longer our problem and given USA's poaching history he's good chance getting poached in future. Why exactly are you wishing him a shit career anyways??? like who recalls when troll poster called Castrop after like 1-2 DFB games "disgrace of a player who won't make it as a pro", he's currently in 1BL and poached by Korea. LMAO, double cringe on troll's part. concerning Staff, not sure why he's getting tons of shit. A CF isn't gonna dribble past 4-5 players and score if there is 0 or almost 0 services what is he gonna do??? its also funny because according to this clown, dribbling skills are unimportant and unnecessary for CFs to have, LULZ. people have this weird habit of always shitting on CFs EVEN when the attack and creating chances from M+AM/W is non-existent. even then Staff in very few chances wasn't far off from a couple more goals during tourney including hitting post as well. I think one of today's issues in attack was that Wisdom was trying to do too much alone and then Akumu on the other side showed very poor technical skills and felt like he lost numerous balls and went nowhere most of the time. Not sure how he's a U17 call up??? Outside of his physique and athleticism he doesn't have much to offer. Then again, DFB always calls up such players in lower levels like U15-U17. And then Staff was basically isolated almost all match and that's your front 3...... major issue with Staff, honestly is that he worked better off of Karl. Staff was at his best for DFB when he got to combine with Karl and play around Karl's magic and creativity.....once you took out Karl and there is nobody like him and this team like SNT in general has very low creativity. this team really really really plays like SNT. Saw a comment, even feeling the same that this team is basically SNT from 2018-present. and that's the reality too, Meister's style is basically SNT crap, LULZ. as for Staff, I'm not making any comments about his future, simply because he's at Frankfurt a club who so far have 0 integration. And these days, I have a 0 comment policy on non-adult footy players, so ALL players in U19 and under, no comment because I don't give 2 shits about youth footy.
I think one issue with DFB youth coaches+SNT is that they don't really try to have a variety of players. Okay you lost Karl to U21 upping why not try to find another creative player to add to your squad? so without Karl so ends any and all creativity on this U17 squad, not that its best possible squad either. No Karl also means no player who can dribble past numerous players solo and make solo runs and shoot from distance due to excellent shooting technique, he's a HUGE loss. but they then fill the squad with players with 0 creativity. Sure you won't find a 1 to 1 replacement for Karl but didn't even bother trying. teams should try to have everything in your squad -dribbling solo players -fast players -physical, direct players -creative players for some reasons, most of the time, DFB seems allergic to the 1st and last from those 4. At some point they were allergic to fast players and called up 0 players who can even counter, LOL. and when they go for fast players too often its just guys who are limited players. the 06 who won double U17 trophies and who SHOULD have won U19 Euro and would have won that if not for numerous players injured or who didn't go to the tourney too. Had 4/4 in squad, the creative player for that group was Darvich. That they had 4/4 is why they were so effective whether XI or bench players. the SNT during our great run of WC10-EC16, the creative player was Ozil. take SNT for example, you have a creative player in Wirtz but Musiala is the only AM/W who plays regularly who even dribbles a lot, the rest tend to just back pass or try to go around Ds and that's it, very limited usefulness from players like Sane, Gnabry, etc. past SNT were even worst, Anti-Dribbling, frick speed, barely any creative attackers, LMAO.
its weird that Hannes Wolf is gonna be his 4th year come Summer 2026 as Germany U20 coach. Has been coaching Germany U20 since 2022. Is there a reason why he doesn't go back to coaching YNT for realz??? I know he's also busy as he's DFB head of youth but he ONLY coached 1 cycle aka 03s for U18-U19 and once he failed (and admitted he made blunders) but he bailed perm from the 3 year cycle and became Germany U20 fixed coach aka NOTHING but friendlies, LOL. The U20 didn't used to be fixed coach either, used to be that ONLY u21 was fixed. I have my issues with Hannes Wolf like -I feel like he has mediocre talent ID. Always calls up players that have 0 business to be called up. Or players where its obvious they won't play U21 so what's point??? -he always has these BS decisions in XI, like tinkering BS. The whole Sieb at false 9 was his BS doing and bunch of others too. He messes around too much. but like is he really worse than the other YNT UXX coaches??? We can't really know because he ran away too fast, LOL. from what one sees for U20 in past few years, he does show something more than the other coaches. The potential does seem higher as a coach. some reasons why I loathe non-U21 YNT is topic of -U21 is ONLY one that is 100% based on club progress. Meaning we won't see non-relevant pro footy players in there nor are the non-relevant pro footy even candidates. Translation U21 WEEDS OUT players from age groups, making it easier for the coach. -U15-U19 calls up there is NO weeding out, its mostly at the discretion of the coaches and almost all of these coaches have piss poor talent ID. I tend to think all DFB coaches have poor talent ID, its less obvious in U21 because club progress or lack of does the job for you, LOL. U20=partial weeding out, you have players in relevant pro footy but also ones in 3rd Liga that are knocking on door for higher soon enough. -I tend to think this also plays a role to why U21 is our only really successful UXX. The U17-U19 once in blue moon they will show something more but otherwise loads of flopping due to poor coaching, poor tactics, poor squad selections, pedestrian blunders that one doesn't see higher etc. Its hilarious the HUGE amount of goals conceded tends to be German freebies, LOL. -what proves this is simple, why do soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many Germany Age Groups seem to flop in U15-U19 but once they play U21 they pan out? Just take a look at 02-03 aka last U21 cycle. The 02 and 03s NEITHER were successful in U17-U19 and they made U21 Euro final, showing they can dispatch ALL rival countries along the way too. I've always thought there was potential in 02-03s but nothing prior actually showed that, LOL. They aren't the only ones either. which begs question, why do most of our age group rarely impress in U17-U19 but impress in U21??? Other factors are things like ones in U17-U19 might not always be there physically but are so once they are in U21. at end of day, its for best that players closest to SNT are ones who impress over the lower level UXX.
a kicker+ article on 1BL Stuttgart's 05 GK Seimen (2BL Paderborn #1 on loan, currently his club in 1st place) and 07 GK Hellstern (3rd Liga Stuttgart II #1). As usual, one doesn't need access to get the gist of an article, LOL. Seimen and Hellstern Facing a Bright Future "Complete Works of Art with a Winning Gene": How VfB Stuttgart's Goalkeeping Factory Works Behind Alexander Nübel, on loan from FC Bayern Munich, a new generation of goalkeepers is developing at VfB Stuttgart. With Dennis Seimen and Florian Hellstern, the club has two homegrown talents in reserve who have the potential to become the number one goalkeeper for the Swabians in the medium term. Two VfB goalkeepers making a name for themselves with their performances: Dennis Seimen (left, currently on loan to Paderborn) and Florian Hellstern https://www.kicker.de/gesamtkunstwe...k-des-vfb-funktioniert-1165844/artikel#twfeed not sure if article brings up a Nick Maier who I believe is a 2012 born who recently won a Golden Glove for best GK at tourney and who Stuttgart Academy head and others have praised highly. but yeah all indication they seem to have 3-4 GKs who seem well seen enough, LOL. for now, focus is on the 2 Pro #1s, LOL. and yeah Hellstern is good chance might play relevant pro soon enough like next season or season after he'll likely be in 2BL-1st Abroad level.
100% this, it's crucial that in any squad you have this variety of profiles, the fact we weren't even training dribblers properly was a joke, but now at least most of our age groups have these types of player. Now it's just a case of coaches making sure they call up balanced squads. I don't know enough about the 08 U17 pool outside the YNT as I don't watch U17 leagues but surely we could have brought someone to the WC to replace at least some of what Karl brings? We had an ok defence, the midfield had some quality and in Mike there was a dribbler but like you say creativity was missing. Akumu didn't look at a good enough level for this tournament. The main thing is about development at their clubs though, and of the 08's we are seeing Karl, Mike, Palma, Is, Mensah, Hawighorst, Kaba etc all making pro progress. Ultimately we all know the majority of each age group will never make the SNT. If only 1 or 2 do then that's a success. With 08 there is Karl who looks like pretty sure fire bet to make it and then a few others that have a pretty high ceiling too. So it's not doom and gloom.
honestly, recent Germany is legit the stupidest team you can ever find. I recall calling Germany's crash in burn in 2017 even with U21 Euro+CC17 Trophies in here in part because of the signs. The signs that we were neglecting too many things in attack due to the full on shift towards possession footy. Possession footy is fine but it has killed us due to fixation. with possession footy -frick fast players, they aren't needed, we have all possession, they aren't important -frick dribblers, LOL you want to lose possession with dribbling.......NO -frick CFs, with a false 9 we can have an AM/W who plays CFs and due to AM/W in general having better technical+passing skills than CFs we can keep the ball more aka better fit to the possession fixation -frick creative players we need to keep the ball moving and thus this type was almost entirely dropped post Ozil......outside of Wirtz, there are no creative regular players even called up and even him he missed WC22 to injury too....... -heck there was even a frick direct players for a LONG time too. This one is funny because loads of SNT matches, it was the direct players from the bench that changed the tide in our favor too. But after Schurrle has been mostly ignored by DFB. Sometimes what you need isn't dribbling or passing like idiots its just plain old direct style. We see it sometimes with a Beier for example but he isn't always called up. And players like Sane, Gnabry, Wirtz, etc aren't the direct type either. Adeyemi is like partial direct, dribbling, speed which is why he can be dangerous if used properly but still needs to work on decision making and finishing. this inability by DFB coaches to axe Sane+Gnabry and move on is killing us. These 2 have been ineffective in NT for AGES. They don't much of anything, they more often than not backpass or sidepass and just try to go around D. And neither has done anything in any tourney. And every coach insist on them with 0 to show for it. Players like these 2+Havertz at CF cough false 9 is what has made us very ineffective in most tourneys. one can see why Germany has flopped for so long. We basically had 0 to go for in attack, LOL. 0 variety. And then the M, has needed changing for awhile but this lack of desire to do it or force Kimmich at M, even though he sucks ass there. And you end up with a NOTHING NT. Germany will never get anywhere as long as we keep harping on these mid90s born players who have shown not much in NT but get free pass coach after coach mostly because nobody seems interested in a Young Revolution. conclusion what did we do with that possession? Neverending passing that leads nowhere, LMAO and being shit for fast approaching 10 years. the fixation with emulating Spanish footy is what killed us. Like we took the Spanish lovefest to an extreme and excessive degree. it feels like majority of our coaches are still stuck in this era or semi-stuck in that era. They don't even bother to try to have variety. Is anyone actually happy seeing 3 back to back SNT coaches where they basically do the same thing and play similarly. Like one would think new coach would do things differently but nope. The coaches like Wuck and Di Salvo who moved past this BS are the only ones who have seen success, LOL. When Di Salvo coached the 00-01 in his 1st U21 cycle he played like SNT and flopped hard, well in his defense he was missing like 12ish players, LOL. But he only started to see real results and more exciting footy when he ditched this crap and went more variety allround with a focus on CF too. concerning U17, why exactly did Meister call up a squad full of players all from Bayer, Frankfurt, Leipzig??? It just feels like it was an attempt at "cheat code" with him thinking that players from same clubs are likely to be more in synch with each other. It didn't work out, LOL. an interesting comment, "There was just so little right with the team. The left side is a perfect example of this. With Turay and Mike, they had two fundamentally good players with clear strengths, but tactically, they were sometimes neutralized by each other. That's simply bad. A coach's job is to create the conditions within which players can reach their potential and develop, and this isn't the first time Marc Meister has completely failed in this regard. The selection was already questionable, just like his handling of some of the talented players in the two previous years." yeah Akumu had limited technical skills, was all physique and athleticism but even then was very ineffective vs the big Faso Defenders, got easily taken out of the match. When I look at him, what's so great about him? If you want a more direct type, you need more quality in the player to make a difference. Akumu and some others I won't name, feels very unlikely we shall see them in future in YNT. The more the 08 advance in UXX, the more likely they will be phased out. and yeah at end of day, reality usually a few players in every age group TOPS even make SNT. SNT=no age groups=everyone fighting for limited spots. That's why the age group fixation was always dumb because long term its irrelevant. That's why I ONLY tend to focus on players by position and not by age group. Because that gives a better view of SNT than age groups do. Karl is 100% making SNT, no way around that. Nagelsmann was tempted to call him up too, would have been basically youngest ever Germany SNT player too. But didn't and left door open that he could still make WC26 squad. So that's likely our 1st 08 in SNT, likely to see some more in future.
-09 LB Lemke playing 2 back to back XIs for RL HSV II in 5-1 W. Lets hope continues to play in RL for rest of season. -06 GK Schlieck played full 90 on Friday in 1st team friendly for 2BL Furth in 3-0 L vs 1BL Hoffenheim. Looks like he got some indirect praise as the Furth coach praised the showing of the young players. And now that Schlieck is fit again, Furth is heading towards a 3 way GK duel as to who shall be #1. For our sakes, 2/3 of the candidates are youth GKs, 05-Prufrock and 06-Schlieck. Lets hope Schlieck wins this, he has more potential than Prufrock. https://www.nn.de/sport/spvgg-greut...er-landerspielpause-im-further-tor-1.14900546 -next CF to add to our 0 CF pool??? Troll poster gonna go raging mad if he breakthrough as he hates the player, LMAO. 06 CF Akaegbobi made his 2BL Bochum debut in friendly this week. Akaegbobi, who made his professional debut and was brought on in the 60th minute, was explicitly exempt from criticism. "He did very well," the coach praised the 19-year-old striker. "That's the kind of young player I envision – courageous, and he showed that he wants to make a lasting impression." with Bochum playing like 6 Youth Players in XI and going undefeated under Rosler. There is no better time to breakthrough than a club like this for a young player in position like CF, LOL. Take advantage most coaches have bigger hurdle in way.
speaking of players left out by Meister. 08 AM/W Mohya scored the 1-0 winner vs Norway. Wael Mohya schießt unsere #U18 zum 1:0-Sieg gegen Norwegen. Gut so, Jungs! 💥#UNSEREZUNKUNFT | 📸 Getty Images (Archiv) pic.twitter.com/32gUPM7DiA— DFB-Nachwuchs (@DFBNachwuchs) November 16, 2025 Mohya is a player who is on verge of breakingthrough 1BL Gladbach too.
speaking of GKs, 2BL Hertha's 03-Ernst looks to have numerous 1BL clubs interested and with a 2027 contract. He also looks to have a clause too. if Hertha get promoted to 1BL, he likely will stay but if they fail, he good chance bails and Hertha will be forced to sell him in Summer 2026 or risk free transfer. really does look like decent chance that next season we could see 05-Goller or 06-Heide as new #1. from our POV, given that -Heide is a candidate for 06-07 U21 cycle better that he becomes #1 over Goller. Its same thing with whole 2BL Furth of 05-Prufrock vs 06-Schlieck........the next cycle emerging>>>>>current cycle candidates. Issue with current cycle of 04-05s its clear that anyone that isn't Weiss, Seimen, Backhaus will just be a back up option down the pecking order. Vs next cycle aka the main candidates for call ups. -Heide was part of double U17 trophies, him becoming relevant pro #1 would be good to see
why are bunch of brits talking about German youngster? Its really just because they are linked with their EPL clubs, LOL. Both about 2BL Hertha's 09 M Eichhorn. -a 1:30 min vid on him. 16 years of age, playing like he’s a decade in 🤯Kennet Eichhorn 🇩🇪 pic.twitter.com/jvzhbbRf6U— Kish (@Kish_P14) November 16, 2025 -an article from a sportsjournalist and Man U fan. https://substack.com/inbox/post/178615981?r=57qy6b&utm_medium=ios&triedRedirect=true
on 07 CB Coulibaly of 1BL Bremen!!!! 🚨👀 Karim #Coulibaly has been one of the breakout stars of this Bundesliga season. The 18 y/o talented centre-back is a regular starter for Werder Bremen, and all major German clubs are tracking him and have made enquiries.Eintracht Frankfurt already have very concrete… pic.twitter.com/FdhzjwgwrC— Florian Plettenberg (@Plettigoal) November 16, 2025 in this case, its more like a bunch of guys who want him at their club, LOL. But reality Eichhorn will all but likely end up with 1BL club next and that is best choice. Everyone thinks only way Hertha keeps him next season is if they get 1BL promotion but all but likely will be playing 1BL next season. Some think even if Hertha get promoted he'll likely bail. but how long until real jealousy pops up anyways? LMAO. we have a wave of very promising next gen M players who are breakingthrough or have already brokenthrough. Guys like Pavlovic, Bischof, Ouedraogo, Eichhorn etc. all guarantee top clubs, 3/4 already there too. very very exciting next gen Ms and LOADS more are linked with top clubs. We've haven't seen this much breakthrough at M in ages, when I say breakthrough here I mean going towards top clubs and these kids are doing very early/fast. #s wise its even bigger than the Khedira, Kroos, Gundo etc from like 15 years ago. speaking of Eichhorn, Toni Kroos younger bro Felix Kroos is already a big fan of the kid and rates him highly and thinks he has a bright future.
Current 04-05 Pool -GK=Backhaus (1BL #1), Seimen (2BL #1, on loan), Weiss (EPL bench GK. The only non-04-05s are the players who have already been called up to U21 like Jeltsch, Ouedraogo, El Mala, Karl. -For GKs, I'm ignoring ALL non-relevant pro footy #1s, they likely won't be relevant anyways. -Bolded=players who have pro caps but haven't fully brokethrough yet for one Hoffmann at CB=already linked with PERM OUT of Hertha to 3rd Liga come Winter. Seems to have 0 interest in going on loan. -Pretty interesting to note, how our AM/W Pool has shrunk by a LOT. Poaching=Maza (1BL), Uzun (1BL), Yildiz (Serie A), Pesch (2BL) Change of Position=Janisch+Niehoff=RB/RWB now and then Baur+Marie=Ms now that's total of 8 players lost to poaching+change of position, LOL. -will be curious to see how many in 3rd Liga-RL make jump soon enough whether Winter or Summer to 1BL-2BL. Same can be said to ALL 2BL players, how many will be in 1BL come Summer??? -its a shame that players like Buchmann, Fritschi have been destroyed by injuries and others like di Benedetto for quick example roting in lower. -Missing anyone?
-one player I forgot is 05 DM/CB Klemens of 2BL Hertha. I forgot him since he's been injured since Summer. U21 striker joins the first team on Monday - "shows by far the most" In the friendly against VfL Osnabrück, hardly any VfL Bochum player was able to showcase their abilities. One U21 player stood out - and can hope for his debut against his former club. In the 1-4 defeat in the friendly against VfL Osnabrück, there was little reason for VfL Bochum and birthday boy Uwe Rösler to celebrate. The third-division side, in contrast to Bochum, conceded goals far too easily, and squandered too many chances in attack. One player, however, made a lasting impression on the head coach – with consequences for (former) U21 striker Jonathan Akaegbobi, who received a kind of "gift" from the birthday boy himself. "I have to praise Bobi, I also told the team: 'This is the kind of young player I envision, someone who wants to show courage here and make a lasting impression on me.' He'll be with us starting Monday," explained the now 57-year-old Rösler after the match. "He did a fantastic job, made some great runs. He showed glimpses of things that are very important to me and is by far the player who showed me the most today." Just last summer, the former captain of VfL Wolfsburg's U19 team, boasting 34 goal contributions in 49 appearances, moved to Castroper Straße and has so far been playing for the U21 team in the Regionalliga West (fourth tier). Under coach Heiko Butscher, the 19-year-old has scored three goals and provided four assists in 14 games. Debut against Dresden? Three years in Dynamo's youth academy Now, the striker can dream more than ever of scoring goals in the 2. Bundesliga and celebrating at Castroper Straße. And if it were up to him, VfL's upcoming match would be the perfect opportunity for his professional debut. This coming Friday (November 21, 6:30 p.m.), Bochum will host Dynamo Dresden in a league match. It would be a special occasion for his debut at VfL, as Akaegbobi spent his youth in Dresden, playing in Dynamo's youth academy from 2020 to 2023. In his last matches, he wore the captain's armband for the Saxony U17 team, as he later did in Wolfsburg. And, just before the match against his former club, he took a big step towards his professional debut. https://www.reviersport.de/fussball...ag-bei-profis-abstand-am-meisten-gezeigt.html
Brunner scores PK for Germany U20 for 1-0 lead vs Italy U20. now takes his U20 tally to 7 goals and 2 assists in 4 games he also almost scored prior, where he beat the offside trap past 2 Italian D and should have scored but made it too easy for GK.
Moerstedt 2 mins later makes it 2-0 vs Italy U20. fantastic throughball by Bulut and Moerstedt physically shrugs off the D to shot past the GK. Moerstedt in U20 3 goals and 2 assists in 4 games
Moerstedt NOW MAKES it 3-0!!!! WOW Brunner dribbling past 3 Italians solo for then a cross towards Moerstedt who shots past GK!!!!! 4 goals and 2 assists in 4 games for Moerstedt!!!!
crazy game, Germany scoring 3 goals in what feels like 7 mins..... fun fact Germany U20 trashed Italy 4-0 back in September too where Brunner had 1 goal and 2 assist in that match. takes his vs Italy U20 tally to 2 goals and 3 assists in 2 games. that has to be the Biggest German tally for a German CF vs Italy at any level, LOL. looking like another trashing of Italy by the Germany U20.
LOL Talent Plan: BVB Rethinks Approach Borussia Dortmund has recognized the problem of integrating its own homegrown talent into the professional squad. As reported by the 'WAZ', BVB intends to focus even more on its U23 team. The plan is to increasingly rely on homegrown talent in the Regionalliga (fourth division) team to prepare them for the senior level. The motto is: playing time in the second team instead of sitting on the bench with the first team. The second team has always been seen as a stepping stone to the professional squad, but the team has regularly been supplemented by players from outside the club. In the last summer transfer window, five players from other clubs joined Dortmund. In contrast, eight youth players were promoted from the U19 team. This number is expected to increase further. https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a335266270807981439-talente-plan-bvb-denkt-um
Moerstedt robbed a hat trick after Brunner tricks the Italian D but was called out for who knows why. Should be 4-0 Germany.
Ulrich makes it 4-0 with nice finish. Italy with their changes got more into the game and got very aggressive in order to disrupt the superior German technical+combination play but not amounting to anything.
Brunner makes it 5-0 outside the box, LOL. now at 8 goals and 3 assists in 4 Germany U20 games for him!!! and 3 goals and 3 assists in 2 games vs Italy U20
FT 5-0 W for Germany U20 vs Italy U20. and that's 9-0 on aggregate, YIKES.... great win and very dominant from us, should have been like 7-0 W tbh. again one has to wonder why Hannes Wolf doesn't coach YNT for realz.
