well one good thing about blundering games in qualifiers is that better now than in tourney, LOL.

young players do need that learning curve and desire to comeback to win.

that is issue of Bischof and Ouedraogo seems very very very unlikely they play U21 Euro come Summer 2027. They might play in some qualifiers but end game seems unlikely.

Very frustrating defeat. We at least should have got the draw. We switched off around the 75-80 mins let Greece have a bit more possession and got a bit slack, Greece took advantage and then parked the bus/killed the game. Other then that we dominated the 2nd half, a lot of our best attacking play came through El Mala.

Di Salvo: I had warned about the Greeks; they have good quality. It was our fault. We were slack in the first half and didn't come back well. Our defense was uncoordinated and kept passing the ball back. The first half was nothing; we were too greedy, but that improved in the second half. Then we gradually got better into the game. The Greeks blocked several opportunities. Overall, there were too many easy mistakes. In the second half, we showed a different face and were closer to making it 3-2. We had chances to score, but we were under pressure for a while, which we couldn't capitalize on. You have to take those chances. But then we underestimated the decisive moment. Now we can't afford to make any more mistakes and can keep our heads up.



LOL, the Greeks don't have good quality, taking advantage of pedestrian stuff doesn't make one that good.

-Seimen=had NO chance to save on 2/3 goals conceded. Outside of his unfortunate blunder on the 2nd he didn't make any mistakes anywhere else. That blunder will happens when GKs play from the back and the opposition presses.
-Ullrich=no issues
-Blank+Rothe=Why is Rothe who is the LB Bench playing CB??? Sure he might play CB at Union here and there (also plays LB/LWB there too) but that is when they play 3 at the back NOT when its only 2 pairing.....and Blank only recently brokethrough 2BL H96 XI, he lacks match practice. Like how are these 2 your CB pairing............a LB+a CB who lacks match practice.....these 2 are 100% NOWHERE near 1st choice for CBs either and neither should have been used there.
-Morgalla=why was he even in XI??? Should have been Baum who impressed in September and who has more potential too. His side was badly exposed throughout entire 1st half and in 2nd half we played Aseko at RB after Morgalla was subbed out. Why not sub in Baum........because he wasn't even on bench, same for a Pauli too. And Aseko is NOT an RB either, LOL, he's a M.


I think main issue of CB is how everyone is missing, LOL.
Collins, Jeltsch, Quarshie, Gechter are all absent and these 4 would have been the 1st choices at CB too.

Also why does Di Salvo call up Blank anyway? Why is Blank a regular U21 call up when he only brokethrough his 1st XI pre-October International break and that is ONLY because the other CB got injured at H96......why are players like Drexler+Pauli behind Blank when they are BOTH XIs in 2BL......heck even Bakatukanda in Austrian 1st on loan is a regular in XI. Even Munz at 2BL Furth has more game time than Blank too. I don't dislike Blank but he 100% lacks game time. Blank and Morgalla are very likely Di Salvo bias tbh. Morgalla has been a fav of his since last cycle too.

 

heck even 07 CB Coulibaly has more game time than Blank and Coulibaly brokethrough 1BL XI too. But since DFB doesn't up players too early and they want him for U19 Euro Qualifiers, he won't get upped either. Speaking of Coulibaly according to reports, top clubs are already showing interest in him.

once 06 CB Odogu starts to breakthrough Serie A Milan that could also propel him forward too.

 

1BL Gladbach beat 2BL Munster 3-2.
04 CF Urbich scored a brace on his 1st XI for the club. While 07 AM/W Fleck who made his debut I believe, assisted the winning goal from a great cross it seems. 06 M Vidic also assisted the 2nd too. The youth players involved in 3/3 goals for Gladbach too.

07 M Swider back from injury was in XI and so was 08 AM/W Mohya who is also back from injury and also in XI.

according to Polanski the coach looks like he expects BIG things from Mohya and also praised Urbich too.

Haas is the 1st FCK Academy youth in AGES to breakthrough the 1st team. As for Frankfurt move, I think that is too big of jump for now.

 

-04 CB Gechter and 09 M Eichhorn of 2BL Hertha both linked with 1BL and both seem doubtful to still be at Hertha after Summer 2026.
