-update on 2 2BL Hertha loanees, looks like both 04 RB Eitschberger and 05 CB Hoffmann will return after successful 3rd Liga loans.

► Central defender Tim Hoffmann (20/Aue): The Berlin native (contract until 2026) played 25 games for Aue, was a fixture, and impressed. That's why Hertha is planning to sign Hoffmann. Sporting director Benjamin Weber (45): "That's been clearly discussed, Tim is returning to us."

► Right-back Julian Eitschberger (21/Essen): The Germany U20 international (contract until 2027) was a regular starter for the third-division club (33 games, 4 goals, 3 assists) and has developed well. He is expected to face competition on the right flank at Hertha.

-06 LB Arnold and 07 CB Pfister sign pro contract with 2BL Darmstadt.
    https://www.sv98.de/arnold-und-pfister-erhalten-profivertraege/

Arnold and Pfister Sign Professional Contracts
SV 98 has signed youth players Tim Arnold and Max Pfister with professional contracts. The two 18-year-olds will be part of the Lilies' first-team squad next season.

Paul Fernie: "Max and Tim are an ideal example of our approach to allowing young players to gain early experience in the senior level through the U21s. Both have shown, both there and with the first team, that they have great potential and are extremely willing to learn. We are delighted to be able to offer two of our youth players the opportunity to move even closer to the professional level and continue their development there."

Arnold, who has been part of the Lilies' youth team since the U11s, was in Florian Kohfeldt's squad six times in the last second-division season and regularly participated in the first-team training sessions. Pfister, who transferred from the youth team of 1. FSV Mainz 05 to the Darmstadt youth academy in 2022, also completed numerous training sessions with the second-division team and traveled to training camp with the first-team in both the summer and winter.

Although both players were also eligible to play for SV 98's U19 team last season, they played almost all of their games for the U21 team in the Hessenliga. Arnold (born in 2006) played 26 games there, while Pfister (born in 2007) appeared in 27 games and also appeared in two games for the U19 team in the DFB-Nachwuchsliga.

that was a fun goal, Pejcinovic assist and Weiper finish!!!!!!

that game back in U17 Euro 2022 was seen as the REAL final by everyone too. Too bad we lost on PKs, LOL.

now we are seeing the 05s making jumps.
    -Bischof=SNT
    -Weiper, Baum, Wanner=U21

That 05 U17 team was a lot of fun to watch. Only area that was maybe lacking RB but now we have seen Baum emerge there.

It's funny when you think about it, 05's with a bit more luck = easily good enough to win U17 title thrashing a number of top nations at that age group, 06 = U17 champs, 07 = beat pretty much all of the top nations at that age group but screwed up in elite qualifying, 08 = considered strong contenders if they can beat Portugal.

Four year groups in a row where we have looked as good as anyone.

next U21 cycle looks to be packed in numerous positions.
-LB=Ullrich (1BL), Rothe (1BL), Finkgrafe (2BL, club got 1BL Promotion but linked with bunch of 1BL club), Zehnter (2BL but heavily linked with transfer), Behrens (signed 1BL pro contract this week. He's the real question mark from the 5, the others not as much)

when have we ever seen 4+1 during Year 1 of U21 cycle??? I mean 02-03 looks headed to 4+ during post U21 and Year 2 of U21 only has 3 02-03 LBs too and during Year 1 there was ONLY 1 LB in 1BL. So from 1 in Year 1 to 4+1 in Year 1, that X4-X5..........reality LB pool has been weak for ages but from 03-onwards that is where it becomes PACKED of prospects.

-CB=Collins (1BL), Gechter (2BL, linked with 1BL), Quarshie (2BL loan with tons of 1BL interest), Pauli (2BL club promoted to 1BL), Drexler (2BL loan, confirmed back next season to 1BL),

looking like a possible 5 CBs for Year 1 from 04-05. Usually its 3 MAX. Reality if Buchmann wasn't always injured would have been 6 and that would have DOUBLE the usual #s.

-RB=Baum (2BL loan, confirmed 1BL for next season)

when was the last time we had 1 RB in 1BL in Year 1??? Feels like ages ages ago, LOL.
Could have been more, like if Morgalla wasn't always injured could already be in 1BL next season. We are seeing LOADS of 04-05 RBs next season in 2BL level though.

-AM/W=Gruda (EPL), Diehl (1BL), Damar (2BL loan, confirmed 1BL next season), Kabadayi (1BL), Preu (1BL), Komur (1BL), Wanner (1BL), Ibrahimovic (Serie A), Balde (1BL Promoted Club), Krattenmacher (??? has been linked with 1BL)

are we headed to 10 04-05 AM/W next season in 1BL level??? Damn those would be crazy #s. Less we forget the poaching of Uzun (1BL), Maza (1BL next season), Yildiz (Serie A), so the # of 04-05 AM/W with poached players is getting closer to 15 players, WOW.

I'm sure that some from the 10 could still end up on 2BL level loan like maybe Kabadayi after lengthy injury and Preu for example.

but even then usual the AM/W for U21 in Year 1 is like 4 players MAX. Not DOUBLE or TRIPLE those #s.

    -CF=Topp (1BL), Tresoldi (2BL, linked with 1BL-Serie A), Ansah (2BL linked with 1BL-EPL), Weiper (1BL), Pejcinovic (2BL loan, confirmed back to 1BL next season)

When do we even have a pool of 5 in 1BL level come Year 1??? Usually its like 2 MAX in Year 1 of U21 and this is after Downs poaching, so in total would be 6 04-05 CFs in 1BL next season. That's TRIPLE the usual #.

    this post ignores
-any and all 06s............yeah I gather that numerous 06s will likely force their way into U21 next cycle, LOL. We are already seeing 1 in Jeltsch playing U21 UP 2 CYCLES. Kid at point could jump to SNT soon enough, LOL. Most expect that come Summer 2026 and he'll be playing in a top club too.
-any and all 2BL-1st Abroad players not heavily linked with 1BL
-any and all players that end up breakingthrough thanks to preseason

yeah LOL, how inconvenient that Baum only emerged for DFB in U18 and he destroyed France when he did play those clowns too. DFB focused on Manuba and Walde, both injury prone and Manuba isn't even that rated at Bayern. Issue is that neither fared well vs France and they got destroyed and France just focused all game at the RB side too.

    I think biggest issue is
who coached 05 Age Group from U15-U17???=Meister
who is coaching 08 Age Group from U15-U17???=Meister

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:, ******** sake the same clown coach for 2 promising Age Groups, frick DFB, LMAO. This is what worries about U21 when we go from 04-onwards is being stuck with a clown like Di Salvo.........he's good chance gonna waste them. Although Di Salvo did show potential in that complete dominant game vs Spain but more often then not he's mediocre coach, LOL.

08 Age Group is strong but too bad for the shit coach and the injured+missing players weakening the team. A Better coach and we wouldn't be in this current predicament.

07 is weird like they weren't even that bad, LOL. Imagine conceding 2 PKs in Elite Round vs Croatia is only reason they failed to qualify. Otherwise things would have looked completely different there.

"Youth development seems to be a high priority at VfB. It's also been communicated somewhere that plans are in place for an U21 player to join the first team next season, but no name has been mentioned. The most likely candidate, however, is Ulrich."

interesting rumor at clown Stuttgart. Will they finally integrate someone???

Always wondered why doesn't every club try to MIN integrate 1 player per season. A Bit deranged that these clubs play 40-50 games a season and they can't even bother integrate 1 Academy kid a season, LOL.

I hope they finally do otherwise what a ********ing clown club this is, LOL.

and it could be fun to see
Jeltsch, Ulrich, Darvich, Diehl, Woltemade all play together next season. Assuming Darvich transfers there and Ulrich is promoted for realz.

"We made mistakes": Wettich confesses after losing talent
    1. FC Köln has once again lost a young player on a free transfer. On Wednesday, Vice President Carsten Wettich admitted mistakes. The words were apparently directed primarily at former Managing Director Christian Keller.

The fans of 1. FC Köln are frustrated. This year, the club is once again losing several talented players from its own youth academy on a free transfer. And not just any players, but top talents. Tim Lemperle from the first team, Justin von der Hitz from the U19s, and Simone and Luca Cannizarro from the U16s and U14s (the GEISSBLOG reported).

This outflow of talent without any transfer fee has now caused multimillion-euro damage – not even including the Florian Wirtz issue. In recent years, the Billy Goats have repeatedly failed to extend the contracts of their best young players in a timely and long-term manner. A fact that was long ignored.

    "A complete catastrophe!" Wettich's admission
Now, however, Vice President Carsten Wettich has also had to admit in the von der Hitz case: "We certainly made mistakes there." The FC official said this on Wednesday evening at the "E Levve lang" talk show hosted by Express and Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger at the Audizentrum Fleischhauer in Cologne-Ehrenfeld. This realization took a long time, and for many talented players, it comes too late.

Michael Reschke, current player agent and former sporting director and technical director at Leverkusen, Munich, and Schalke, agreed on Wednesday. "The number of young players who have left FC on free transfers is a complete catastrophe," Reschke said. And then Reschke took issue with former sporting director Christian Keller, whom Wettich hadn't mentioned by name.

"Nuremberg is a traditional club, but FC has to be able to keep up with von der Hitz," said Reschke. "The responsibility for his move lies solely with the sporting director. In that position, you are responsible for it. If you've done everything, presented a concept, and pushed yourself to your financial limits – and the player still decides differently, then it's not your fault. That can happen, and you can't blame anyone for that. But that doesn't match my information."

According to GEISSBLOG information, FC Köln once again reached out to sign von der Hitz far too late, sending two sporting directors, Lukas Berg and Thomas Kessler, into talks. Keller should have led the final negotiations, however. But that didn't happen in time, and so von der Hitz was ultimately gone. This was also because the player had been clearly signaled by former coach Gerhard Struber that he wouldn't be an option for the first team in the foreseeable future.

    The egalitarian approach must stop
GEISSBLOG believes: 1. FC Köln must rethink its entire strategy for top talent. Anyone who repeatedly loses the best talent year after year must stop citing alleged financial disadvantages or blaming untrustworthy advisors. The failure in the von der Hitz personnel issue lies solely with FC Köln. Nuremberg couldn't offer more money than FC Köln; FC Köln simply did a better job in the negotiations with von der Hitz.

One of Thomas Kessler's most important tasks as the new sporting director is to make FC a reliable partner again, trusted by the players and even the sometimes unpopular agents. And yes, the financial egalitarianism must also stop. Top talents should be paid like top talents. However, the prices are not set by FC, but by the market. Anyone who wants to compete must factor this in. And above all, FC must finally start early discussions with its best players again.

according to AZ, 2BL Furth looking like winner for transfer of 3rd Liga 1860's 06 RB Reich.
    https://www.abendzeitung-muenchen.d...igist-schnappt-sich-loewen-talent-art-1058617

yeah all indications we are getting 4 06 RBs in relevant pros next season.

-von der Hitz=confirmed 2BL FCN Summer transfer from Koln U19
-Reich=looks headed to 2BL Furth Summer transfer from 3rd Liga 1860
-Bulut=linked with 1BL clubs like Stuttgart, Freiburg etc for example from 2BL S04.......S04 wants to sell him too in order to make $$$ as the club isn't doing well financially too.
-Moreira=currently trying to breakthrough EPL Forrest although injured. Even if he ends up on loan, would expect some Championship-1st Abroad loan

crazy part to think is that these 4 players have 2 years to hit 1BL level before we even reach their U21 Euro Cycle that starts in Summer 2027, LOL.

with Bulut headed to 1BL level this Summer and chances that Moreira doesn't go on loan, we could already see 50% of them in 1BL level next season......

more funny is that we could already have MIN 6 06-07 RBs in 1BL level come Summer 2027. Why because 07-Pedrosa and 07-Koscierski are both looking like breakingthrough 2BL next season. Pedrosa has already brokenthrough 2BL this season. While Koscierski made his 1BL/pro debut for a relegated Bochum, very very good chances that he'll breakthrough with Bochum in 2BL next season, as he has pro contract and seen as top talent.

so yeah 06-07 RB Age Group looking on track to be Germany's BIGGEST EVER U21 Pool of options for RBs in a U21 cycle......who knows if we'll get even more names in next 2 years or not.

congrats to Jeltsch+Woltemade+Diehl on winning DFB Cup.

-Woltemade won DFB Cup Top Scorer. He was also in Kicker XI of season for 1BL too!!!! Had breakout 1BL season. Also 2 years ago he was named 3rd Liga best player and helped Elversberg to historic 2BL promotion too.
-Jeltsch 1st season in 1BL=1st pro trophy

    Jeltsch keeps making it big
-wins U17 Euro with a 1st CB Partner aka Dal
-wins U17 WC with a 2nd CB Partner aka Odogu
-qualifies for U19 Euro after 8 years of not qualifying with a 3rd different CB Partner aka Decker
-Gets called up to Germany U21 up 2 cycles....
-now wins DFB Cup with Stuttgart

LMAO at the 3 different CB partnerships as long as he's there it makes all difference.

although hilarious as at how he won't play U19 Euro. Will be curious to see how Germany U19 fares without him next month.

also most expect that come Summer 2026=top club will be next hence SNT jump in next 1-2 years could happen.

LOL I completely forgot the match was today.....oh well was expecting an L or at best D anyways. This tourney was just not clicking and one can see it from 1st match....was unlikely to get better and even if we had made SF we likely lose to Italy anyways.

glad I didn't waste 90 mins on nothing.

The Age Group has talent but one can see loads of issues from Elite Round qualifiers.

-GA in Elite Round=5 goals in 3 games
-GA in U17 Euro=5 goals in 3 games

we leak goals in every game, that's not how you win games. This has led to only 3/6 games=W.

I'm hoping Palma makes return next season with new coach. Palma made his Serie A debut and 2nd pro cap this season too. He played 8 mins if one adds injury time too.

on topic of Meister, according to loads of people who know players, it seems like majority of the players HATE the guy. So its no surprise that he's unable to build a proper team when HE LOST THE LOCKER ROOM........even pre-tourney.....

I'm sure he won't be sacked and DFB did extend his contract pre-tourney, LMAO.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Why does the DFB often extend contracts before tournaments? Surely you wait and see how the team does. Were they worried that if they didn't tie Meister down he might have been poached by Real Madrid to replace Ancelotti or something :ROFLMAO:

LOL, DFB keep extending with flop coach even when they fail to qualify for tourneys. Even when Prus bombed with 07 Age Group, clown got extended.

    like DFB act like
Prus, Meister, Di Salvo etc are some next gen A-List coaching talents.:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

but more funny is how they always extend these flop pre-tourneys......like yeah why not wait for tourney before making an extension call based on "performance principle".

-Double 1BL Frankfurt update, on 04 CB Collins and 05 RB Baum.

According to Bild, it has already been confirmed that the 19-year-old right-back will play for the Hesse club starting in the summer. "Our clear goal is for Elias to come back to us because he's simply done very, very well; nothing has changed about that," emphasizes sporting director Markus Krösche. SC Freiburg in particular was interested in the defensive talent, but Eintracht Frankfurt offered the right-footer a perspective.

Baum is currently battling with SVV in the relegation playoffs for promotion to the Bundesliga. The U21 international is contributing to the Saarland club's successful season with strong performances, making 33 appearances in the second division, scoring three goals and providing seven assists. "I'm extremely pleased with his development. He's having an outstanding second-division season," said Krösche. At Eintracht, the homegrown player is expected to challenge regular starter Rasmus Kristensen (27). According to Bild, the versatile Nnamdi Collins (22) is being planned for the long term in central defense.

-Bild also reporting that 1BL Mainz's 05 CF Weiper will play bigger role next season. Hopefully gets that breakout 1BL season!!!!

Mainz relies on Weiper: Striker to play a bigger role
    1. FSV Mainz 05 is facing an exciting season up front. Jonathan Burkardt's future remains in doubt – the 24-year-old scored 18 goals last season and is attracting interest from top clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen – and the ball now seems to be in his court. Or rather, with potential buyers, provided he can present them: There is reportedly an agreement between the star striker and Mainz that he can leave for over €20 million.

But even if Burkardt were to transfer, Mainz will continue to rely on the strength of its young talent. Nelson Weiper (20), who made 23 Bundesliga appearances last season and scored three goals, is expected to take on an even more important role in attack. Sporting director Christian Heidel is convinced: "We can envision the same development with Nelly as with Jonny Burkardt."

Coach Bo Henriksen is also convinced of Weiper's potential: "We have to trust him, and then he will be the next rising star." Weiper, who, like Burkardt, comes from the club's youth system, had to learn what it means to prove himself daily in training. But according to Henriksen, the young striker has already made great progress and could play a key role next season.

With Weiper as part of the attacking lineup, Mainz plans to continue to rely on a young, dynamic attack despite the uncertainty surrounding Burkardt. It remains to be seen whether Mainz will add more strikers at the striker position, but Weiper should soon get more playing time and, at best, establish himself as a permanent fixture in the team.

04 RB Morgalla to 2BL Bochum loan, confirmed.

1927039812197863849 is not a valid tweet id

    VfL loans Leandro Morgalla
Leandro Morgalla has been signed by VfL Bochum 1848 for the 2025/26 season. The defender is on loan from FC Red Bull Salzburg. The 20-year-old has so far appeared in 19 Bundesliga and four Champions League matches for the 17-time Austrian champions.

Born in Biedenkopf, Hesse, and raised in Munich, Morgalla took his first steps in football at SpVgg Unterhaching before finding his sporting home at TSV 1860 Munich. For the "Lions," he progressed through all the youth teams up to the U19 level, and with the senior team, he made 42 appearances in the 3. Liga, among other leagues. He moved to Salzburg for the 2023/24 season, where he initially played alternately for the Mozart city club and their second-division club FC Liefering. Salzburg finished the just-concluded season as runners-up, with Leandro Morgalla making 16 appearances. He also played for the DFB youth teams, most recently making four appearances for the U21s.

"Leandro Morgalla can be deployed in a variety of positions in defense, both on the wing and in the center," says VfL Sporting Director Dirk Dufner. "He already has a wealth of experience, having played in the physically demanding 3. Liga as well as at a higher level in Austria and the Champions League. We are very happy that he has chosen VfL and are looking forward to welcoming him to the start of training with us."

Leandro Morgalla is also excited: "I had very good discussions with the VfL management and sensed that they absolutely wanted me here. I'm looking forward to the season, the fans, the club, the city, and of course the stadium. Together with my new teammates, I will work to ensure we achieve the best possible success."

Nice to see both playing a big part, as already said both likely leaving Bayern this summer with Kratzig perm move to Salzburg with a buyback option and Wanner will go out on loan again. Doubt either have a long term future at the club, unfortunately.

you just don't grasp Meister's genius.

he purposefully lost U17 Euro so that everyone underestimates Germany so that he'll then surprise the world and win U17 WC. Incoming meisterclass!!!;)

like WTF is this BS, supposed to be the other way around one goes from Austrian 1st to1BL.

we are at a point where clubs seem obsessed with players playing any Europe and no Graz aren't playing CL, they are set for CL Qualifiers so no guarantee they will even qualify. What is point of all of this BS when you play whole season in 2BL level just for sake of what 6-8 games in Europe.......

that is always the POISON of these big clubs like Bayern, Bayer etc.

Next signing confirmed: Reich arrives from Munich
The Spielvereinigung has signed 18-year-old Lukas Reich, a 3. Liga defensive ace. The right-back played his first professional season with 1860 Munich this season and immediately made 31 appearances for the Lions, 20 of them in the starting lineup.

One of the top talents in his year.
Kleeblatt Sporting Director Stephan Fürstner: "We've had Lukas on our radar for a while. He's one of the top talents in his year, so we're delighted that he's chosen to join us. I don't think it's a given that as an U19 player you'll already be a regular in the first team, which shows the quality he brings. He has a lot of pace and the attacking drive that we look for in a full-back for our style of play."

Reich has been a regular in the DFB youth teams since the U16 level. The right-back is currently a U19 international and has made a total of eleven appearances for the German U16 to U19 squad. The new Fürth youngster will compete in the U19 European Championship in June before joining the Kleeblatt team.

Convinced that he will bring a lot of passion to the pitch.

Fürth coach Thomas Kleine on the 18-year-old new signing: "With his mentality and aggressive style of play, we are convinced that he will bring a lot of passion to the pitch. It is important for us that Lukas can play in both a back four and a back five, which gives us various options. But it is also clear that his first priority in preseason is to settle in and adapt to the increased tempo, and we want to support him as best as possible."

I am proud to be able to take my next step here.

Lukas Reich signed a contract in Fürth until 2028. The youngster after signing his contract: "I am proud to be able to take my next step here in Fürth. The management have shown me what they expect from me, but have also told me that I will be given the time I need to settle into the 2. Bundesliga. We have been in contact for some time, and it is nice to have finalized everything before the U19 European Championship. I am already looking forward to the new challenge."

Updates on other 2BL Furth Youth
    Extended with youngsters
U19 captain Jakob Engel has signed his first professional contract. The 19-year-old central midfielder from the Kleeblatt youth team was already a fixture in the first team in the second half of the season and was part of the Kleeblatt first team's matchday squad seven times. Engel made nine appearances with Fürth's U23s in the Regionalliga Bayern.

The club has exercised the option on Regionalliga top scorer Daniel Kasper, automatically extending the striker's contract in Fürth for another year. Kasper scored 18 goals for the U23s and made his professional debut in the 2. Bundesliga shortly before the end of the season.

The club has also extended the contract of goalkeeper Silas Prüfrock. The keeper made 15 appearances for Fürth's U23s in the Regionalliga Bayern this season and was twice included in the matchday squad in the 2. Bundesliga. The 20-year-old is expected to remain a fixture for the U23s.

    New signing in goal
Sebastian Jung joins the club on a free transfer from SV Babelsberg 03. The 20-year-old goalkeeper joined the club from Energie Cottbus' youth system and made ten appearances in his first Regionalliga season before being sidelined by injury. From summer onwards, Jung will be part of Fürth’s goalkeeper team.

    Versatile attacker
    Marco Wörner joins Paderborn
SCP07 has signed another new signing in the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old striker Marco Wörner joins Paderborn from SC Freiburg. There, he most recently played as a center forward and right winger for the Breisgau U23 team in the Regionalliga Südwest.

At just eleven years old, the Offenburg native joined Freiburg's youth team. He also made his professional debut there, appearing in the U23 team's third-division match against 1. FC Saarbrücken in March 2023. Last season, he was a regular for the SCF youngsters and scored double figures.

"Marco decided early on to join SCP07 and follow the Paderborn path. He is a versatile and intelligent attacking player with a good sense of depth. We want to give Marco the best possible development path," explains Sporting Director Benjamin Weber.

    VfL
Extends Long-Term Contract with Luis Pick
With Luis Pick, VfL Bochum 1848 has signed another top talent from its own ranks with a long-term contract, which will convert to a professional contract upon his 18th birthday. The 17-year-old attacker has been wearing the VfL jersey since 2023 and currently plays for the U19 team at the Talentwerk.

Pick transferred from MSV Duisburg to VfL's U17 team. There, he scored six goals in the 2023/24 season, although an injury sidelined him in the second half of the season. However, the talented striker fought his way back, establishing himself as a regular starter in his first U19 season, and, with his 19 goals, played a key role in VfL's outstanding performance in the U19 DFB youth league. As a reward, he made his debut for the German U18 national team on May 14, 2025.

"It's important that we show our talented players the path to success, that VfL is a stepping stone to the professional level," says Dirk Dufner, VfL Sporting Director. "Luis is an agile striker with a strong finish who knows how to use his body. Now it's about gradually getting him used to the men's side and leading him to the top."

David Siebers, who already knows Pick from the U17s and is currently the U19s head coach, is happy for his protégé: "Luis's profile is that of a classic center forward. He knows how to secure the ball, process it, and pass it on. He's very versatile and successful in finishing. In his two years at VfL so far, he's invested a lot in getting closer to his dream step by step. This quality has allowed him to develop continuously, not let injury setbacks stop him, and will continue to develop his existing potential."

Luis Pick: "I am very grateful to the VfL management for trusting me to make the long-term leap to the professional ranks. I know this is just the first step. That's why I will continue to push myself in training and work hard to repay their trust and fulfill my dream."

    LUIS PICK'S PLAYER DATA:
Date and Place of Birth: November 5, 2007 in Mülheim/Ruhr

    Weight: 83 kg
