LOL, Koln continues to L at every chance when it comes to talents.

Like Wirtz! Huge Trouble with Bayer: Leverkusen Poaches FC "Wunderkind"
A transfer dispute has flared up again between 1. FC Köln and Bayer 04 Leverkusen. As GEISSBLOG exclusively learned, the factory club has poached a 13-year-old top talent from the Billy Goats for a large sum of money – and his brother along with him.

It's the next major transfer dispute between 1. FC Köln and Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Five and a half years after Florian Wirtz, Bayer has once again poached from the Billy Goats' youth team and, according to GEISSBLOG information, signed the brothers Simone and Luca Cannizarro. A shock for FC, it's causing considerable trouble behind the scenes.

The two sons of former FC player Massimo Cannizzaro were among the Billy Goats' top talents. 16-year-old Simone had most recently played for FC's U16 team and had also played for the U17 team. The attacker is considered a great attacking prospect. However, Luca, just 13, was even more of a focus for FC.

FC loses two top talents again
The Billy Goats' U14 player, who could have still played for the U13 team, had already attracted attention two years ago at an international tournament in Izmir, Turkey, and was dubbed a "child prodigy" by local observers. As a clever attacking player, he was named player of the tournament. He is predicted to have a great future.

The problem for FC: While Simone was already old enough to sign a contract with FC, the statutes of the German Football Association (DFB) stated that the Billy Goats were previously prohibited from signing a contract with the younger Cannizarro brother. This would have been possible for the first time in the fall of 2025. But now it's too late.

13-year-old becomes a major point of contention
Bayer has long since concluded a deal with the father of the two talents, Massimo Cannizarro, and lured the two talents to the factory club. FC has not yet been officially informed, but the two transfers are already finalized. Therefore, according to information from this online newspaper, there was extremely frosty relations between the two clubs' delegations on the sidelines of the U19 German Championship final at the BayArena.

The poaching of a 13-year-old is said to have particularly upset the Billy Goats. The elder Simone had not wanted to extend his first contract with FC Bayern, although Thomas Kessler was also said to have participated in the talks alongside Cologne's youth academy directors. Nevertheless, it was clear at some point that the 16-year-old would leave the club. The fact that Bayer included his younger brother in what was apparently a financially lucrative deal for the family is causing outrage at FC Bayern.

    FC must question its strategy.
A particularly controversial issue: Massimo Cannizarro is not only a former professional player, but now a player agent for Robert Schneider's Avantgarde agency, thus directly representing his two sons. FC is complaining about dishonest treatment by both the agent and the Leverkusen team. However, there is likely also a fair amount of frustration involved.

Because one thing is clear: FC is once again losing two of its most promising youth talents on a free transfer. Once again, FC failed to secure long-term contracts with these players. Despite all their plans to focus on young talent, the Billy Goats are once again falling short when it comes to recruiting top talent. A shortcoming that is likely to lead to a review of their own strategy.

Köln just keep losing talents, but I don't get why youth players would choose to move to Leverkusen. When was the last time any youth broke through there (Wirtz doesn't count imo). No II, barely ever any bench and when they do hardly ever any actual minutes. Even players considered top talents like Stepanov and Onyeka don't even get chances in meaningless matches.

    just feels like
    -big club syndrome
    -close proximity
-Bayer U19 qualifies for YL, how many times do we see players moving to Bayern mentioning how YL is good for dev (LOL) and that is one of main reasons to join the club

other than that which aren't even good reasons, its a waste of time club, LOL.

Onyeka needs to leave perm but likely to end up on loan.

now seems more and more unlikely he ever plays U21.

Hennes Behrens extends his contract with TSG Hoffenheim
Bundesliga soccer club TSG Hoffenheim has extended the contract with top talent Hennes Behrens, which was due to expire this summer. The 20-year-old defender has signed a new, long-term contract with the Kraichgau region and will become a permanent fixture in TSG's first team starting next season.

"Hennes is a young player who has developed excellently over the past two years," says Andreas Schicker, Sporting Director at TSG Hoffenheim. "Hennes was not only a key figure and undisputed key player in the U19 double victory in 2024, but has now also made a significant contribution to the TSG U23's promotion from the Regionalliga to the 3. Liga. This tremendous development is once again a wonderful example of the traditional TSG path from academy player to professional player. We are very happy to have secured another great talent with Hennes for the long term at TSG and look forward to welcoming him as a permanent fixture in the first team this summer."

Hennes Behrens transferred from the SV Darmstadt 98 youth team to the TSG Hoffenheim academy in July 2020. In recent years, the 20-year-old defender has made 17 appearances for the U17 team in the Bundesliga South/Southwest (1 goal / 4 assists) and 51 appearances for the U19 team in the Bundesliga South/Southwest (1 goal / 12 assists), as well as six appearances in the UEFA Youth League (2 goals / 1 assist). In the 2023/2024 season, Behrens even celebrated the double of German championship and German Cup victory with TSG's U19 team. In the just-completed season, he made 26 appearances for Hoffenheim's Regionalliga team (4 goals / 4 assists), helping TSG's U23 team to gain promotion to the third division. Behrens made his professional debut on matchday 20 of the just-concluded Bundesliga season, coming on as a second-half substitute in TSG's match against Bayer Leverkusen.

TSG extends long-term contract with top talent Tiago Poller
Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim has prematurely extended the contract with 18-year-old top talent Tiago Poller. The attacking midfielder signed his first professional contract in the Kraichgau region.

The German junior international joined the TSG Academy in July 2019 from VfB Stuttgart's youth team. Last year, Tiago Poller was part of the 2024 U19 double-winners, scoring five goals and assisting ten more in 24 matches during that successful season. The 18-year-old top talent has made a total of 48 appearances (14 goals / 20 assists) for TSG's U19 team in the Bundesliga South/Southwest, the DFB Cup for juniors, and the UEFA Youth League. Last season, Tiago Poller also made two brief appearances for Hoffenheim's Regionalliga team, which was promoted to the third division.

Tiago Poller has played for all of the German Football Association's (DFB) youth teams since the U15 level and currently plays for the German U18 national team.

Hoffenheim looking to have loads of Youth.
    04 M Tohumcu, 04 AM Damar, 04 CB Quarshie, 05 CB Drexler, 05 LB Behrens, 06 CF Moerstedt, 07 M Poller.

    Others
-05 M Bischof going to Bayern
-02 CF Beier is currently at BVB
-02 LB John TONS of injuries have forced him to go to 2BL Furth where he was XI for entire 2nd half of season. I 100% think he'll make his way
-03 AM/W Conte had a semi-successful 2BL loan looks like he might be forced to go back for another season to really establish himself.
-03 GK Noll had a successful 2BL loan but unknown what's next. He doesn't want to play bench 1BL GK. So might get reloaned to Furth.

02 CF Asllani is a Union Academy Youth but he had a crazy season on 2BL loan and Hoff and loads of 1BL clubs want him.

a club that looks to have TONS of 1BL potential players too......and they have loads more talents. Nevermind that the II in 3rd Liga next season could boost their talents too.

Yeah frustrating we couldn't score more. If we had won 6-0 that would have given us the advantage if Portugal lose v France.

Overall it was a good match though, stupid how Meister doesn't rate Mike, he is clearly a difference maker.

Doesn't he realise most DFB coaches don't want players who are good at 1v1's at beating their fullback, they are supposed to stop and pass it sideways or backwards....no wonder Meister doesn't like him lol.

but then clubs always cry and bitch.
"Where are the street footballers in Germany."
"Where are the 1v1 and dribblers in Germany."

    Meanwhile DFB=******** you dribblers!!!!

I still recall Low yapping about how we need dribbling and 1v1 players but then decides to play none and play neverending passing and that is why he flopped WC18-EC20. Because he refused such players nevermind his blacklisting every CF that we were left with nothing but Werner, LULZ.

LOL how does one go from CWC to MORE 2BL, LMAO, what a joke of a club. 1BL should be priority for a loan. But this is all Krattenmacher's fault that is what happens when you go perm transfer to a club with 0 clue to WTF they are doing and rarely loan out to 1BL, always 2BL fixation but then they don't even care or rate 2BL. They don't even see it as good enough level for 1st team.....

Now, Bayern will likely take him to the Club World Cup first and then loan him out again – back to the second division or possibly even to the first division.

not watching but Portugal vs France is 0-0 HT.

yeah, LMAO, we lost 3-0 because of pedestrian blunders+dumb red for 60 mins of the match, LOL and not because France is amazing.

not looking great, I think any chance for us requires 2 things.
    -France can't lose
-we need to W vs Portugal in last match

Kicker has nominated their 2BL Team of season
05 RB Baum, 02 M Martel are both on the list for XI.

Baum at this age is already the best RB of 2BL. Can't wait to see him play 1BL next season, hopefully with Frankfurt in CL.

soooon we could see Frankfurt have an XI with
3/4 of the D are German Young players in

03 LB Brown, 04 CB Collins, 05 RB Baum

we really need a young CB to join the club, LMAO!!!

so this means that last match what happens in other match=who cares makes 0 diff for us.

only our match matters and also a W or Bust is what will happen.

gonna be crucial for Germany to score as fast as possible to open up Portugal as they need min a D.
