have to say, I've had issues with CBs from last few cycles. I felt there wasn't enough interesting CBs or they to many are injury prone players. I think only relevant one from 98-99 ended up as 99-N.Schlotterbeck and only really relevant from 00-01 are 00-Bisseck and 01-Thiaw.......no Di Salvo it isn't 00-Matriciani, LMAO. When I say relevant, I mean SNT material and not career progress front. Like current 02-03 CBs feels like too many always seem injured or out of comission. Like imagine the few CBs in 1BL like 02-Schmidt, 03-Oermann, 03-Rosenfelder, 03-Kleine-Bekel and what you see is that 3/4 are either injured or injury issues........then add a 03-Mbi who should have joined a 1BL club instead goes from 2BL to Portuguese 1st.....and then add that 02-Seibert has been injured all season and another that should have went 1BL in Summer too. Even a 03-Riedel could easily have left relegated to 2BL Darmstadt but stayed loyal. It feels very disatrous overall, LOL. Curious to see what happens with the 2BL XI of 02-Beifus, 02-Scheller, 02-Lawrence (Austrian 1st XI), 03-Breunig, how long until 1BL? Or what happens to 03-Luhrs who made his 1BL debut with BVB this weekend? Nevermind that 02-Dardai got poached to Hungary SNT too and USA have poached 02-Dietz too. I'm sure that a lot of them will end up in 1BL or make their way there but it feels very annoying that its injury proness and delaying careers allround and this has weakened the U21. I also think that we keep playing different CBs almost every International break is why the D looks all over the place, these players aren't used to each other as much. my interest for CB is more towards 04-onwards. players like Gechter, Collins, Buchmann, Jeltsch, Dal, Odogu, Herwerth etc. -Gechter+Collins were always the most rated 04 CBs -Buchmann was always the most rated 05 CB...........05 CB=WEIRD age group for CBs, between Buchmann=injury prone, Italy poaching Chiarodia who is making progress at 1BL Gladbach and Serbia poaching Simic who is XI in Belgian 1st it has weakened the age group. Then add that a Fritschi has been injured for feels like a year and a half too.......... -Jeltsch, Dal, Odogu, Herwerth all won U17 Euro+U17 WC. I mean we won U17 Euro with Jeltsch+Dal as XI pair and then Jeltsch+Odogu as XI pair for U17 WC. So even when we changed XI pair we still won tourney, LOL. which is interesting to see as Gechter, Collins, Jeltsch have all brokenthrough 1BL-2BL XI super early and fast too. Buchmann, Dal, Odogu have all made 1BL benches. And when fit Herwerth is usually not far off from 1BL Stuttgart 1st team. I just hope we don't see another Batch of CBs delayed by injuries as Gechter, Collins, Buchmann, Dal, Odogu, Herwerth have all had injury issues in past 2-3 years. With Gehcter, Buchmann, Herwerth currently all out of action. Like would be nice to see a CB Age Group without mass injuries. at same time its interesting to seeing how players like Pauli, Drexler, Blank, etc are dev too. I mean Pauli used to be highly rated then trashed/forgotten by most people now he's back in full force, LMAO and knocking on door of 1BL-EPL clubs. From this lot including the unnamed, would be funny if they overtake more rated CBs, LOL. Time will tell when they aren't injury prone it could happen.

-Bild+ reports that 1BL Frankfurt, Gladbach and other 1BL clubs are all following/interested in 06 CB Jeltsch an XI in 2BL FCN. https://www.liga-zwei.de/1-fc-nuernberg-frankfurt-und-gladbach-haben-finn-jeltsch-im-blick/ LOL, lets go, Frankfurt!!!!!!!! They'll play an entire Youth backline!!!! Praising his speed (in only his 2nd cap he's fastest Stuttgart player this season with 36.1 km/h) and his dribbling. -on 1BL Stuttgart's 02 CF Woltemade. Of course, Nick Woltemade would have preferred to score. Nevertheless, the U-21 international was happy about his first league goal for the Swabians, which was only enough to bring the score to 2:3 against Eintracht Frankfurt, and the equalizer was denied. In any case, Woltemade was not hopeless when he was substituted, despite the score being 0:3: "It was clear to me that if we scored a goal, it would be unpleasant for them. I myself want to make the most of every minute." Woltemade managed to do this, both against the Hessians and in other areas of the past few weeks. The 1.98 meter giant, who came from Bremen on a free transfer, is getting better and better after a bumpy start to the season. This is also evidenced by the important goal in the second round of the DFB Cup in the 2:1 win against 1.FC Kaiserslautern. -Article on rise of 04 M Kemlein who brokethrough 1BL Union XI. https://www.kicker.de/kemlein-da-kann-man-schon-stolz-sein-jetzt-hier-dabei-zu-sein-1067578/artikel

LOL Did Borussia Dortmund make a mistake with this Eintracht high-flyer? Nnamdi Collins is currently on a high at Eintracht Frankfurt and is becoming a U21 national player. Didn't BVB pay close attention? Frankfurt/Dortmund - Nnamdi Collins has been one of the shining stars at Eintracht Frankfurt over the past 14 days. The trained central defender has been working the right side of defense since the DFB Cup duel against Borussia Mönchengladbach (2:1). He benefited from two factors: Firstly, the previous long-standing player Rasmus Kristensen was injured. And secondly, Arthur Theate was sent off after 15 minutes against the Fohlenelf. Collins became a bargain Collins came in and seized the opportunity. He set up Omar Marmoush's winning goal with a powerful run - and repeated this a few days later in the landslide victory against VfL Bochum (7:2). He even mastered the tasks against the much higher-ranking opponents Slavia Prague (1:0) and VfB Stuttgart (3:2) with flying colors - despite some problems in duels with national player Chris Führich. Nnamdi Collins made an impression Sports director Markus Krösche has pulled off another coup. And according to information from fussball.news, the defensive all-rounder did not cost a million euros, but only 700,000 euros - with no buyback option or resale participation! Did Borussia Dortmund gamble away with this "jewel"? Or was this development not foreseeable? It is often a fine line, especially in Dortmund. But Collins apparently lacked a convincing plan on how to get him to the top. The online portal Spox even called him a "hot topic at BVB". Collins has developed steadily at Eintracht In the press release after his departure, sports director Sebastian Kehl said that his wish had been granted and he had been let go. In this case, however, the truth is that BVB itself did not work with the necessary intensity on a promising solution. So the separation took place in the summer of 2023. In Frankfurt, Collins initially gained experience in the U21 team, which had just been promoted to the regional league. After six months in the fourth league, coach Dino Toppmöller regularly moved him to the top. Collins was able to celebrate his Bundesliga debut on matchday 27 against Werder Bremen (1:1). During the summer break, 1. FC Nuremberg courted a loan deal, but Krösche put a stop to it in consultation with the player. "He had a very good preparation and was able to promote himself when Willian Pacho was not there," explained the sports director. After Pacho left, there was a gap that Collins took advantage of Pacho has since moved to Paris Saint-Germain. But the big chance only came when the two new signings Kristensen and Theate were unwell. Krösche praised: "Nnamdi stuck with it and developed further." His spectacular runs are already causing frenetic cheers from the fans. The powerhouse, who can reach speeds of up to 36 km/h on the pitch, also quickly became the focus of U21 national coach Antonio Di Salvo. He wants to watch Collins in the test international matches against Denmark and France (against teammate Hugo Ekitiké). Borussia Dortmund can solve the problems with six reformsread Nevertheless, patience and the right level of support are still required. For young players, it is often completely normal for a high point to be followed by a difficult phase. Eintracht legend Alexander Schur once explained to fussball.news that it is crucial to work your way out of a low point and stabilize. But Collins is not thinking about that at the moment. He should try to keep up the momentum and assert himself after the international break. Kristensen will return soon after his injury - and will also do everything he can to take his rightful place again. It is a competitive battle that Eintracht coach Toppmöller can only enjoy. https://www.fussball.news/1-bundesl...cht-einen-fehltritt-begangen-zr-93407315.html
I remember not that long ago us talking about Dortmund having a potential future back 4 of Semic, Collins, Pauli and Rothe. All 4 have since been sold after making a grand total of 5 1BL appearances between them for the first team. Add that to Kleine-Bekel and Blank and you see that despite producing several promising defenders over recent seasons none have been given proper first team chances. This is a club that often seems to have a lack of defenders due to injury, using players out of position etc.
yeah -Collins+Rothe=1BL XI -Kleine-Bekel=once back from injury will be 1BL XI -Pauli=2BL XI who looks to be playing his potential last season in 2BL and then likely 1BL is next -Blank=I would presume in maybe 2 years he'll be in 1BL level. He needs to breakthrough Salzburg XI and once he does will only be matter of time. -Semic=only one that is far away. Between injury proness, BVB II screwing him over and always on bench and wasting 2 years at BVB II doing nothing now has to establish himself in 3rd Liga XI with Osnabruck. His other issues is that he's very short guy and more offensive minded than defensive minded. there is also -Cisse who is XI in Belgian 1st II team. How long before we see him in Belgian 1st? He's done preseason with the 1st team too. next up -Luhrs=made his 1BL debut over past weekend. -Kabar=they want him to sign pro contract so far 2 1BL caps but will signing pro contract lead to more chances or getting screwed over??? BVB might just play him for him to extend and then ignore him after, loads of clubs do that. -Posadas=BVB were like he's top talent we poached him from HSV amid TONS of interest. He'll breakthrough the II team......fastforward, he has 0 caps and always on II bench...... -Meiser=viewed as top talent CB and made bench in CL this season but how long until they screw him over??? -Benkara=also highly rated CB but how long until they screw him up. My guess, Meiser+Benkara might get screwed over for the foreign Mane, LOL. the funny part outside of Semic+Luhrs+Posadas+Cisse the rest are bound to end up in 1BL. That's like 8/12 players with good chance of 1BL and 4/12 with question marks if they manage to do so.
Leipzig and Hoffenheim in the top 10. It's full of French clubs though. That's why the level of the French league is so bad. That's why Mbappe is struggling in a stronger league.
Leipzig minutes are mainly to non Germans (especially Nusa who literally makes up half of that) although Ouedraogo should get a fair amount now he's fit and maybe Gebel will get some as well. Hoffenheim is more promising with Drexler, Bischof and Moerstedt all getting regular minutes with Bischof looking like becoming a regular starter.
Tresoldi for 1-0, rebound after Beier shot hit bar. Very nice build up between Gruda & Wanner and great effort from Beier. https://streamin.me/v/5206942a Brown for 2-0, very good dribbling in the box and assist from Woltemade. https://streamin.me/v/8f812c67 Moukoko for 3-0 with sharp first time finish after a corner was half cleared. https://streamin.me/v/95298229
It's a great result against a good team. Nice work for the first goal. Denmark left a big gap in the middle and we punished them early on. We're clinical for once. Nice assist by Woltemade for the second goal. Does Moerstedt have more talent and more speed than Woltemade? I haven't seen him play. Hopefully this goal will give him some confidence. He seems to be having a tough time establishing himself at Nice. Some guy called Cho who is the same age as him is ahead of him in the pecking order. Cho's a few cm taller. Unfortunately Moukoko is short for a striker. He's not good enough to be a winger and very few teams play with 2 up front. It's not looking good so far. Hopefully he will turn things around.
Apparently we lost 0-4. I guess Klemens played as a DM? Ansah and Balde are mainly left wingers but I guess one of them played on the other wing. Downs and Keke Topp probably played up front together. I don't see any number 10 in this starting XI while Ibra was on the bench. it's an interesting choice to play with two giant (192cm tall) strikers while Ansah on the wing is 194cm. Baum, Drexler, Pauli, Ullrich and Klemens are all decently rated and have pro experience, right? I don't get how we could concede so many goals. I haven't heard of any of these English players.
I dont think it matters much, every season, we get 1 trashing L at some point with 1 of the age groups. I mean I still recall the 98-99s getting trashed 4-1 by Belgium and I believe also got trashed by Pengland too but come tourney and we won that. issue is when one sees any person trashing entire age groups based on such matches. the 06 Age Group got TRASHED 6-0 by Pengland in same season as U17 Euro prior to tourney. Why does anyone think that TONS of fans+DFB shat non-stop on 06 Age Group its because we lost to Portugal, Czech, got trashed by Uruguay, Pengland, Spain beat us 4-3 in Elite Round Qualifier too. Then come U17 Euro there was 0 expectations but they ended up ragdolling every team left and right and won the tourney and followed it by winning U17 WC too. eh, Ansah is a CF too, so we basically played 3 CFs uptop, LMAO. I mentioned just last month that U20 is playing too many CFs in XI and that this COULD bite us in ass but so far hasn't....until now. A lot of these DFB coaches are all over the place and exaggerate with their lineups. We need more creativity in attack not more CFs, LOL. Is this the school of Kohfeldt (ex Bremen coach) who used to play 3-4 CFs whenever down or not as if he expecting to score shit ton vs every team playing like that. And that is nowhere near the best U20 squad nor anywhere near the best XI that one can muster, LOL.
don't forget Hoffenheim also with Tohumcu and with successful 2BL loans Damar and Asllani (poached) will both be back at the club next season. Wait and see on what happens to John too. I'm curious to see if any from U19-II will get chances though. From the II team, I recall 05 LB Behrens, 05 RB/CB Strobl, 05 W Hennrich did preseason and impressed. Then from U19 they have players like 06 GK Lade, 06 W Makanda, 07 CB Erlein, 07 M Poller etc. yeah Gruda was good but he's no Draxler. I would take, a player who is master backpasser over a non-stop dribbling vs 2-4 players any day of the year. D wise this match was better then previous matches but not happy that I feel like we were defending a bit too much and sucks that we couldn't see much of Wanner and Gruda together as Wanner got injured during 1st half, finished the half but then got subbed out at HT. The real test for U21 is the France match, who cares about result but lets see how this team fares vs a real competitor. I still don't think we'll win U21 Euro as I do think overall there are holes in this team+Di Salvo isn't a great coach and isn't a grinding coach. If only Wuck was U21 coach....

Germany U19 won 3/3 matches in U19 Qualifiers in the 1st Round. 2-0 W vs Andorra, goals by Ramsak and Brunner 3-1 W vs Cyprus, goals by Brunner X2, Darvich 2-1 COMEBACK W vs Hungary, goals by Ramsak, Brunner Brunner scoring 4 goals in 3 games too. Also had assist in 3-2 W vs Pengland and 1 goal and 1 assist in 2-1 W vs Spain this season in friendlies. Brunner continues to be difference maker for Germany. Now we just need him to get that pro breakthrough. with the 3/3 Ws we win our group which should help in the Elite Round Qualifiers draw.
