Yeah the u17 squad had the perfect balance, something still lacking in the SNT (more through choice then lack of available options). Definitely agree about the difference a real focal point like Moerstedt could make in comparison to Havertz. Really hope he can have a breakthrough season in 1BL/EL.

Overall was a really fun team to watch, even when missing top talents like Ouedraogo or Watjen the team still looked strong and to be double Euro and WC winners was a pretty rare achievement. I agree on 'golden generation' tag, it's never used for 1 year group it's usually spread over a few. Combine 02-08 and potential is there for something special, there are top talents in every position but we'll have to wait and see.

LOL I always see Bayern fans claiming that Weiper or Moerstedt could succeed Kane in few years. But yeah Nagelsmann will have Topp, Weiper and Moerstedt all breakingthrough 1BL next season and 3/3 are players that package wise is very well liked in Germany, complete package CFs. Believe as of now only Moerstedt is in Nagelsmann's view mirror due to achievements at U17 Euro+U17 WC while the other 2 one was 2BL last season while other was injured. Gonna be fun to see them next season. Yeah Moerstedt in EL could boost his chances with SNT.

I'm also curious to see how Di Salvo proceeds we seem to have numerous new players in 1BL-2BL next season as well. Beier is likely to get SNT call up which should open a spot in U21. And Tresoldi being in 2BL next season might mean he'll get U20 call up over U21.

yeah Musiala+Wirtz already shown they can be difference makers at Euro 2024.
-Musiala was joint top scorer of whole tourney and was Team of tourney
-Wirtz was only 1 behind and played less as he wasn't always in XI.

Wirtz scored vs Spain and Musiala got robbed vs Spain a goal with handball. So our next gen were SUPER close to taking down Spain.

had we had a better focal point in attack, the 2 would have been even more dangerous. But hard to fully show oneself when the focal point doesn't do anything and basically playing with 10 men, LOL.

Its why we need the next gen CFs to emerge as soon as possible as SNT options.
with Beier, Woltemade, Topp, Weiper, Moerstedt the 1st batch looking like a go. Still open on Kastanaras+Harres. Soon enough the Moukoko, Tresoldi, Ansah, Pejcinovic, Brunner etc will likely also emerge as options too.

but these players like Musiala+Wirtz who almost took down Spain are just the beginning for Germany.

PS was also best player at U17 Euro and joint Golden Boot Winner at U17 Euro as well.

there is no backlash because the fanbase is basically in the
    "******** Brunner."
    "selfish self centered POS."
    "money lover Douche."
    "troublemaking A-Hole."
"he's shit anyways and not good enough for BVB."

and list goes on and on. I have NEVER EVER seen a player get this much insult by fanbase. LOL what a bunch of psychos.

The fanbase are too busy shitting on the player because they are triggered that he was NOT convinced to sign pro contract with them.

and yeah BVB had no plan for him whatsoever. Sign pro contract but no fixed 1st training and go and rot in 3rd Liga translation, we only want you as a back up to long term injury and nothing else. And likely would have played 2-3 caps for entire season in 1st team.

pro contracts are overated, Knauff, Rothe, Collins, Blank, etc all signed pro contracts and ALL bailed from the club anyways as there was no real prospects at the club.

so lets not pretend like it means anything. What matters is the planning and there was none.

on topic of 08 AM/W Karl,
he does look promising from what I've seen whether technical skills/dribbling, creativity, looks to have excellent shooting technique, I feel like plenty of attackers have skills but finishing is rubbish doesn't seem to be an issue for him. He's also looks to be a very good FK taker as well.

wonder if we'll see him in 1st training this season at some point or not. Before that, how long until he gets upped to U19???

what exactly is Bayern's plan with 05-Ibrahimovic (currently unfit) anyways? While 07 AM/W Licina continues to make impression with Bayern 1st team he looks to be most used Academy player in 1st team. Also curious to see what the plan is for him and for 05 M Aseko. And same goes to 05 CB Buchmann (currently back from injury and ball training). These 4 are the closest Bayern youth to 1st team.

-done deal for 06 CF Brunner.

-05 M Amoako goes on 3rd Liga Osnabruck loan. Shocking Wolfsburg doesn't integrate......NOT. Which is why I don't get why anyone transfers to this club.

-05 CF Pejcinovic on 2BL FD loan is fit again but not fit enough to play XI. Looks likely will make the bench this weekend for DFB Cup and good chance to get subbed on. He's also getting praise by FD coach Thioune as well.

02 CF M.Muller looks headed towards 3rd Liga Osnabruck transfer.
    https://www.noz.de/sport/vfl-osnabr...itter-spieler-diesmal-fuer-ganz-vorn-47587135

its interesting to see how huge chunk of 02-03 CFs are all headed to pro footy. Even the so called B-C-onwards lists CFs making the jump.

Outside of Kuhinja jumping in Winter 2024, everyone else is Summer 2024 jump.
    -1BL=02-Harres
    -2BL=02-Kuhinja (jumped in Winter), 02-Castelle, 02-Galjen, 03-Schmidt
-3rd Liga=02-Flotho (2 goals in 2 games so far in this season. How long before he's in 2BL?), 02-M.Muller

not a huge amount of 02-03 CFs are even left in RL at this point. Some injury proness is only reason still at the level. Others likely playing their last season at this level.

-04 GK Weiss #1 of 2BL KSC getting special praise by coach.

-03 GK Noll #1 of 2BL Furth while on loan is also getting praise at Furth where they see him as good as Urbig.

-04 W Gruda going to EPL Brighton seems almost done deal.

-on who will replace 04 W Gruda at Mainz aka 03 AM/W Sieb and 02 AM/W Nebel. Looking like it'll be Sieb.

Two names immediately spring to mind as the beneficiaries of Gruda's departure. When it comes to the right offensive half position, people quickly talk about new signing Armindo Sieb and loan returnee Paul Nebel. "Sieb has had a very good pre-season. He still needs to get fitter, but that will only happen if he plays," said coach Bo Henriksen on Wednesday, indicating the first replacement for Gruda.

lame transfer, better off staying at Mainz.

Brajan Gruda Joins Albion From Mainz
German under-21 international joins Fabian Hurzeler's squad.

The club are pleased to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Brajan Gruda from German club FSV Mainz, subject to work permit and international clearance.

Brajan has agreed a contract until June 2028, and head coach Fabian Hurzeler said, “I’m really pleased to get the opportunity to work with Brajan. I saw the big impact he made last season in the Bundesliga and he’s a player I admire a lot.

“The Premier League will be a different challenge but I’m looking forward to working with Brajan and helping to develop his big potential.”

Technical director David Weir added, “We’re delighted to bring Brajan to the club. He’s a player we have been tracking for a while and he’s already played at a really good level in the Bundesliga.
“He is a player Fabian knows well and is really looking forward to working with.”

The 20-year-old broke through at Mainz last season when he played 28 games in the Bundesliga and contributed four goals and three assists to help them avoid relegation.

05 AM/W Sturm signs pro contract at 1BL Freiburg. Freiburg has habit of making players sign pro contracts almost covertly, they don't even tweet about them, LOL.

    YANN STURM SIGNS PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT
SC Freiburg and offensive player Yann Sturm agree to extend their collaboration.

Freiburg-born Yann Sturm has been playing for the sports club since his youth. In December 2023, he made his debut for the U23s and scored three goals in the 3rd division. In the current season, the 19-year-old is part of the U23 squad and trains occasionally with the Bundesliga team at the Europa-Park Stadium.

"Yann has worked very well in the past few months. His technical qualities and finishing skills set him apart," says sports director Klemens Hartenbach. "Now it's time to work continuously, partly in the second and partly in the first team, to adapt to the physical level of the men's division."

Yeah would much prefer him to stay at Mainz, this move seems too early. Hopefully this isn't gonna become more and more of a trend, can be counter productive to development with less playing time/taking time to adjust plus 1BL is way more fun to watch if the best prospects stay at their clubs longer.

I guess in Gruda's case at least he is going to a club with a German coach who have a decent track record of developing young players, but I was hoping he would end up at Leverkusen or Dortmund if he moved.

-Fabian Hurzeler about signing Brajan Gruda. LOL, La Liga is King of CL+EL, how is EPL best league in world??? Stop with bias and I don't even like La Liga, LMAO.

"I wouldn’t say he is a typical German. I think he has amazing skills with the ball. He’s like a boy from the street, as we say in German. He likes to dribble; he likes to have the ball at his feet. He can do special things!“

Hurzeler on expectations for the 20y/o: ⤵️

„We need to give Brajan time. He comes from Germany. He is very young, it’s a different culture here. The Premier League is the best league in the world. We try to integrate him as fast as possible and give him all the support and help he needs, like for all the other players, to try to improve him and make him ready for the Premier League.“

-update on Moukoko, why does he prefer Ligue 1 to 1BL? Not sure I understand why he wants to leave 1BL. He's constantly linked with clubs with no Europe and would rather go to those clubs than EL Hoffenheim.....

gonna be interesting to see what happens in U21
-LB 1BL players=Brown, Netz, Kratzig, Rothe, Ullrich

the focus surely has to be on the 02-03 LBs so likely
    Brown vs Netz vs Kratzig

even then can't all be called up 1 is likely to left out. Maybe 2/3 if DFB goes for 04-Rothe.

-AM/W 1BL players=Nebel, Sieb, Knauff, Kelati, Gruda, Diehl, Bamba, Kabadayi, Wanner, Ibrahimovic (although out for 6 weeks=back end of September)

also players like Damar, Raimund, Komur, Opitz, Sturm, Negele etc still wait and see who will breakthrough for realz.
-CF 1BL players=Beier, Woltemade, Harres, Topp, Weiper, Moerstedt,

Still open Kastanaras (he's playing 3rd Liga II with 1st chances, already 1 goal in 1 game in 3rd Liga this season) +Moukoko.

a lot of players will be left out.
like CFs.....I don't see any possibility for 2BL-1st Abroad to get called up tbh. Even if Moukoko goes to Ligue 1 that is still higher level than 2BL-1st Abroad.

same issue for all 2BL-1st Abroad AM/W, can't see any making it when we have more than ever 1BL options.

reality when was last time, the LB, AM/W, CF pool had this many options from 1BL????

I still think this is stupid why go to a club that won't integrate you. Couldn't he have just signed pro contract with BVB and go on loan......doesn't make any sense.

in any case Brunner will play EL next season.

    PARIS BRUNNER TO CERCLE BRUGGE
Paris Brunner is coming over on loan from AS Monaco. The 18-year-old talent, a German centre forward, is on loan until the end of this season.

Paris Brunner went through the youth ranks of Rot-Weiss Essen and VFL Bochum before making the switch to Borussia Dortmund in 2020.

At Dortmund, the goal machine really got going: at the U17, Brunner scored 16 goals in just five league games. That meant that at the age of 16 he was promoted to the U19, where he once again showed his goal instinct with 21 goals and 8 assists in 25 games.

The 18-year-old Brunner also has a lot of credentials as a youth international. With the U17 of Germany, he became European champion and co-top scorer of the tournament in 2023. Later that year, at the FIFA U17 World Cup, he played an important role in winning the title. After the World Cup, Brunner received the Golden Ball as the best player of the tournament.

Paris Brunner is now making the definitive transfer to AS Monaco, but will take the next step in his development at Cercle this season. The talented striker is being loaned for one season.

“We are going to give Paris the time to fit into our team,” says technical director Rembert Vromant. “Brunner is big and powerful, but also very agile and he also has the necessary technical qualities to be able to play in various attacking positions. Another advantage is that he can be deployed quickly, since he has completed the entire preparation with the first team of Borussia Dortmund.”

and players continue to extend with clubs with 0 integration.....

06 CB Odogu extends his pro contract at 1BL Wolfsburg.

    SIGNAL FOR THE FUTURE
David Odogu extends his contract with VfL Wolfsburg for the long term.

VfL Wolfsburg and David Odogu will continue to belong together in the coming years. Shortly before the start of the new competitive season, the Green-Whites have extended the contract with the 18-year-old defensive talent for the long term. Odogu came to VfL Wolfsburg from the youth team of 1. FC Union Berlin in the summer of 2020. Since then, he has played 55 competitive games for the Wolves for the U17 and U19 teams and is now a permanent member of the professional squad. The Berlin native attracted particular attention last December when he won the title with the German U17 national team at the World Cup in Indonesia.

"NOT AT THE END OF HIS DEVELOPMENT"
"We are very happy to be able to continue planning with David. He is a player who we expect a lot from in the coming years. David is already incredibly advanced for his age and of course still far from the end of his development. It's nice to see how he contributes to us every day with a healthy mix of carefreeness, humility and belief in himself," says VfL sports director Sebastian Schindzielorz.

    07 AM/W Gebel at 1BL Leipzig.

how real is this extension with 0 comments from any brass member, this is hugely 1st hint of BS. Is this part of whole need certain # of Germans signed+ homegrown players signed for CL???

sure the coach Rose praised him highly for preseason and said he might play in 1st team during season but lots of coaches when time comes either don't play them or barely until they bail perm.

when is Austria gonna poach him!!!! Let's go Rangnick!!!!;)

joking aside, we need to call him up to U21 same for Ouedraogo (although he's out until end of September) and some others too.

0 reason to lose him when so easy to get U21 call up.

lets hope when 1BL starts again he's in XI this time. He's our only 02-03 1BL RB which could catapault him to U21 1st choice if he's in XI at Kiel.

    Hey Guys,
We habe already a few games of the new "Nachwuchsliga". What s your opiniom about it? We already saw a lot pf big wins for bayern u 17, VFb Stuttgar u 19 and other teams. I dont really understand why they dont make like a premier league u 18 where all the big teams can play 1 game with the other big teams.. and the besr ones just go in playoffs.
