It's Rage Against The Machine w/Chris Cornell as the lead singer. The first single is called Cochese.
Initially, I had heard the band was going to be called Civilian, which I liked a lot better. That said, I still haven't heard the single. Maybe if I downloaded it from Audioslave... Later, COZ
The band was going to be called Civilian, but another band already had that name and wasn't keen on giving it up. I've heard the whole album (assuming it has the same tracks that KNDD world premiered a few months back...) I like the name Audioslave, and I like the band.
The party line is that those were just demos, not the finished product. I don't know if that's just propoganda or not. Later, COZ
Ooops here it is: http://www.audioslavemusic.com/audio/cochise_full_100.asx I was rushing out to see Jerry Cantrell. Jerry was awesome, but boy do I miss Layne.
Latest word on Audioslave is that Sony & Morello are plenty pissed that Cornell, after having agreed to help promote the record has been having trouble "battleing personal demons" of late, and cancelling all kinds of important promo things.
Didnt they break up? Last time I heard of this "project" they broke up but their recorded stuff was still going to be put out, which what I thought this was.
They apparently agreed to get together at least to promote the thing, but Cornell (allegedly) keeps flaking/relapsing which (allegedly) is the reason they split up in the first place.
That Cochise song used to be called "Take It Out On Me". I heard it back in late spring and it sounds almost exactly like the one they have on their site. I have a bunch of their other stuff as well and this is the most RATM like song they do. I'm a bit disappointed with it to be honest. I just wish Zach would go back and they could be Rage again.
