First of all, please pardon me for using this particular forum for this post; I'm just trying to reach as many Triangle (North Carolina) soccer fans as possible. What I'm wanting to find out is if there would be enough interest in the FA Cup Final to ask a local pub or sports bar to carry it on a big screen. I know that Raleighwood Cinema & Grill has a Super Bowl party every year (and it sells out of course); it might be ridiculous to even think of asking if they'd consider broadcasting a soccer final, I really don't know. But please reply if you have interest or any comments.
Again, forgive me for posting this here (I've also posted in several other forums). I'm just trying to find as many soccer fans in North Carolina (hopefully the Triangle) as possible, and I know that we probably have a half-decent number of people in this area that are both fans of DC United AND English football.
DCU is pretty well represented in the state of NC. Players like Eddie Pope (you remember him, right?) and Carey Talley represented UNC, as did newcomer David Stokes. There are more than a couple of NC DC fans on these boards. Just look around. Sorry groverboy, I live in the mountains. Just a little too far to drive for a cup final. But if you have trouble getting it hooked up in the triangle area, us hillbillies might be able to work something out, if you want to drive that far.
