Hello guys, I want to ask if there is any info about the average of attendance in stadiums in the bundesliga in the last ten years ( since 1999/2000 until last season) I need these informations as soon as possible. and thanks for this good forum about German football in English, it is TOP . I wait you.
http://www.weltfussball.de/zuschauer/bundesliga-2008-2009/1/ Here is a website which lists attendances for each Bundesliga season and all clubs in that year. You can parse through the years either by using the drop down menu or the arrows left and right from it. It looks as if they have all the numbers since the founding of the Bundesliga in 1963. I hope this is what you are looking for. I'm not sure how reliable the numbers are but I guess that there aren't many differences compared to other websites. Ah a little translation, though it shouldn't be too hard to understand without: Spiele = games/matches Summe = sum over all matches = total number of visitors in that season Schnitt = average number of visitors for a match
I didn't realize how puny Italy's and Spain's average attendance is. Germany is clear and above England too.
If all Stadia sell out at the last game day we will have broken the record (set last season) again and for the first time ever totalled more than 13 Million spectators over the whole season: http://www.haz.de/Nachrichten/Sport...ndesliga-steuert-auf-neuen-Zuschauerrekord-zu
The article doesn't use official numbers, though - the official attendance record was in 2009, with an average of 41904 (last season was 41802).
42.660 for 2010/2011 according to bundesliga.de http://www.weltfussball.de/zuschauer/bundesliga-2010-2011/1/
Actually that's weltfussball.de. I'd be somewhat surprised if the official number is the same (they usually come out a few weeks after the season). All the statistics sites out there, including kicker, just use what was reported on matchday, which can differ from the "real" number given later.
Ah I've always wondered why the statistics differed a bit after when a season ended. Thanks for clearing that up. Is Germany in same situation as in England where numbers reported are lower than in reality, because of tax issues?
Probably not a big issue in the Bundesliga. Slightly more likely in the lower divisions, with giving rounded attendance numbers being a common practice and a few hundred people making a significant difference financially.
