Saw the game on TV and even with a full house you couldn't hear the River End sing and all they did was pipe in lame songs and canned noise.

They really could use an ESC in that place to liven it up.

You can't even compare Red Bull Arena to PPL Park. RBA is light years better. Not that I don't think PPL Park is good for the league or team though.

As for the stadium, it looked very nice. I definitely noticed how much harder the fans needed to work to make noise due to the construction of the building. People going over the bridge can see onto the pitch. This should be pretty cool during night games.

The fact that PPL has a built in concert stage automatically makes it worse than RBA as well.

    To MLS,
no concerts, no artificial turf, no cheerleaders, definitely no baseball, no football (American, that is, just to clarify).

No cheerleaders? Can we get a vote on this? For now could you substitute no vuvuzelas for no cheerleaders? I mean, couldn't we review the talent before we write them off?

I will volunteer to be a reviewer. Or rearviewer. Whatever.

As long as the Union choke like the Flyers we should be A-OK!

you can't be pumping in noise like a hockey game. I'm sure the Sons of Ben will provide the right people with guidance.

Appropriate, then, that the club that plays there are PU.

On the Jersey side of the Delaware, the stadium looks like it's floating down the river like a giant, crusty turd. The fans are the corn...

The Flyers that beat the Rangers on the last day of the season, then went all the way from 9th place before that up into the Stanley Cup Finals 4 weeks later.

And the verb you used for that cinderella season was chokes

    You're a revisionist!

I hear they can't play night games in Chester because there is a curfew so people dont get mugged and shot. Is that true?

Are you that insecure about your own team that you come on our boards and dig up a post from a couple months ago.

    :D

Ah Philly. The place so nice that Curt Flood preferred to quit baseball than play there. The place that celebrates a fake boxer as a hero because their real boxing legend has too much pigment in his skin for comfort. The place that booed Mike Schmidt.

    Shall I continue?
