Since Pedri came out it looks like we have ten men. Now taking out one of our better players today, Pjanic.
We just have to face reality, we have a very average side (and that's being generous) we will not challenge for anything this season and this is going to take years to put right.
Finishing with ten men as Roberto comes off injured. Will have no depth at all in defense for the next few weeks ( even if the starting back four might be better ).
I'd probably pull the trigger on that. At least get some money for him. Use that money to get a CB. Otherwise next summer and season will just resemble this one, sorry to say.
Apart from the previous board destroying the team on the pitch the other thing that really angers me is that, despite loads of bullshit plans, nothing has been done to improve the stadium, in every respect we are falling behind other clubs in Europe.
Exactly, we're lacking in pretty much in every departments. Apart from a top CB, Busquet isnt getting any younger either and needs to be replaced aswell, while Griezzman can takes Messi's role , a role which he does for France. I think he'd excel once Messi's gone. Messi needs to stay motivated for next few years leading up Qatar and he's clearly not enjoying the game with the current team. Selling him is pretty much a win-win for both parties.
This game went just like the other Madrid game, though we had a lot better control up until that first half blunder. Feels like the other Madrid game because us being so high up the pitch leads to so many chances. Dembele was sharp for the first 30 minutes then I wasn't sure what happened. I stopped watching momentarily until the waning minutes of the 2nd half. Then when we find ourselves down, there's little room for creativity and our finishing isn't there. Right now we just feel like a team with no tricks at all.
One notable difference with the match against LPB was how uninvolved Messi was. Only 36 completed passes for a guy that contributes nada defensively. Not good. I bet MAtS has had games where he had more touches than Messi did yesterday.
