Koeman please no experiments. Bring Trincao and Griez off the bench at 60 minutes if Coutinho and Pedri aren't beasting. Maybe Roberto for Puig or Pjanic.

    Coutinho Fati Messi

    Pedri

    Pjanic Puig

    De Jong

    Alba Lenglet Pique Dest

Why do you play with our emotions by including Fati in the line-up? :’(

Fati out for awhile, Busquets injured on international break, Araujo out, Umtiti still injured, but in happier news Coutinhho is back. Only 2 CBs and 2 DMs for 4 spots, so Roberto (or Alena) could play DM if FDJ needed at CB.

Playing de Jong at CB vs Atleti is a recipe for disaster. I truly hope that’s not the case. This us a must-win game for us.

that's a pretty experimental lineup right there. i like the idea of squeezing in a 12th player! :D

seriously though, Koeman didn't get a normal pre-season so pretty much anything he does is an experiment at this point.

Somehow Fait's injury had slipped my mind. Just remembered he is out.

Atletico has been knocking in some goals this season which is very un-Atletico like. Dangerous game. Specially because it's just after international break.

Felix seems to be the one we need to be afraid of lately. He’s really stepped it up this season for Atleti. Though one could argue that Suarez knows our defensive weaknesses well and so would be more of a threat.

In any case, FdJ at CB is a no-no.

Could see Messi being exhausted after international break. He doesnt get enough rest.

Never suggested we start FdJ at CB, just pointed out that we only have two healthy CBs in the first team due to injuries to Araujo and Umtiti and though we named Mingueza from Barca B who has played once for them this year. Of course Pique and Lenglet will start but we are an injury or red card away from FdJ or a new Barca B player having to play CB. Even Busi is out. So we also have just FdJ and Pjanic at double pivot.

I never said you suggested anything. Frenkie, imo, just isn’t even good enough as a make-shift CB. He should simply never start as a CB. I’d rather a Barca B player tbh.

Draw against Atleti isn't a bad result imo. Of course should still play to win.

I mean, everything is 20/20 in hindsight, I posted that before Madrid’s result today vs Villareal. Even so, whenever your main rival, who is ahead of you by more than 3 points, is struggling, it’s always important to capitalize on that.

Before today’s result we would have been 8 points off had they won. They’re coming off a loss and a tie in their last two games. Time to capitalize is right now imo. So yes, must-win in that regard imo.

We're having some success attacking down the right. Just missing the final pass and finish, but we all already knew that part.

MAtS even got to the ball first, but it was such a weak first touch... and easy goal.

Pique with a donkey touch too. Griezmann with some terrible first touches as well.

Exactly. It was the right decision to come out, just shitty first touch.
