    Mario Mandzukic opinion?
I've never seen him play, but for such a prolific scorer 20mil is a bargin

I thought villa left on free transfer, but i agree, they will probably be on the market for another striker. I heard rumors of them going after Ochoa the mexican goa keeper, would be a good move to make up for the departure of Courtois, though he is probably not as good.

agree but who's available, they could try to snag, griezmann or vela from Real Sociedad but I doubt Atletico have the money or Sociedad would let that happen. They coudl also go for a loan maybe someone like Lacina Traore, who is on a large team that most likely will not need him and have other good young options.

have faith in Diego :), felipe luis was out for a bit and it didn't hurt them it was just when they lost felipe and courtois in the same week, they obviously need to bring in a goalkeeper but they have relative depth at de and should be fine.

atleti have signed 21 year old slovenia goalie jan oblak. I do not know what to think of this he has a lot of quality stars for a young goalie but still..

reports saying griezmann to atleti may be coming soon, this will be a huge coop, know scorer in la liga will work great with mandzukic, should be a very good attack for atleti next year.

0-0 tie for first result, not the worst result but definitely not the best.
Moya was very good in net. They had very little going forward it will be interesting to see if they make any changes.

What a performance today ... It's a good sign that while they did have to replace a lot of players the style of the team is the same. The heart of the team is all those midfielders they have in Gabi, Koke, Mendes, Turan, Garcia, Rodriguez and Suarez ... Simeone can mix and match those guys in so many different ways.

Also I think Atletico is the best set piece team on the planet. Every time they have a corner or free kick you can see a little panic in the opponent's defense

Sneaky approach by Mario Mandzukic against Malta:

Usually these things are not acceptable for football observers. But he will score often for Atletico Madrid, especially in ex nihilo situations.:) Croatian players are not so gifted with running abilities, but he is an exception.

Turan was insane off the bench, definetly the reason atleti won.
neither team seemed to be very good in the final 30 though.. atletis de and midfield payed really though, same with mandzukic
